Here is a more in depth explanation on my Jason the toymaker headcanons (I made another post, this just expands one of the headcanons) also this will be a little longer and more in depth because I have a lot to say so I’m very sorry for that. There will also be some dialogue I got carried away, this is in fact fanfiction, I need an excuse to write more so please pretend you want another part
->Here’s a link to the original post<-
☾ Jason grew up in the Victorian Era, which means a lot of things that were considered normal back then would be considered abuse today, his parents basically wanted nothing to do with him, and the only kind of attention he got was from academic achievements or when he was disciplined, so his only reference of how to treat children is not to do what his parents did.
☾ So put it short, Jason doesn’t like kids because he doesn’t know what he’s supposed to do with them and by the time he was “officially” a Creepypasta, he still didn’t and was still very reserved and distant from the other Creepypastas
☾ The first Creepypasta Jason had stay in his toy shop was Toby, it was a last minute decision and one that Jason wasn’t told about until he called Masky (I know he’s not a Creepypasta) in the morning after Toby was dropped off at the toyshop the night before.
☾ So this made Jason’s first time meeting Toby, him waking up then making coffee and walking into his living room to see a small confused and scared 12 year old boy standing there, and the first thing Toby ever heard, from a Creepypasta after being taken away from his burning house that he caused, was:
“Who are you? What are you doing in my house?!”
“Actually don’t answer that, I’m going to call someone, sit down, stay still, don’t touch anything, and be quiet.”
☾ After that Jason left to call Masky and Toby sat down in his living room. Because I like writing dialogue, here’s the phone call or at least the part Toby heard:
“Masky why is there a child in my house?”
“I don’t care what his name is, come get him”
“There was nowhere else to put him? Are you sure?”
“I don’t know, maybe the car you drove him here with!”
“Fine, he can stay here, but this isn’t happening again”
☾ After that, Jason handed Toby a washcloth and said “you’re covered in dirt, wash your face.” And for the rest of the day, they didn’t speak to each other until dinner.
“W-what’s y-yo-your name?”
“Jason. Masky said yours was Toby.”
“And your file said you killed your own parents.”
“Whenever someone new arrives, we get a file explaining who they are and what they’ve done. I don’t usually read them, nobody does, but i thought it would be beneficial. I’m sorry about your sister.”
☾ And from that point, there was a shift, Jason hated kids, but this one was… decent. He was quiet, and Jason didn’t know how to feel about Toby being quiet, because on one hand Jason likes quiet, but on the other, Jason hates the reason he’s quiet, but he’d hate it if he couldn’t shut up. Although, he wouldn’t mind if Toby wanted to talk more, the toyshop was too quiet anyways.
☾ The second night (or third if you could Masky’s poor planning) Toby needed to clean the wound on his face, up until this point, he covered it with a bandage, and he thought he locked the bathroom door, Jason came in not knowing he was in there in the middle of Toby running toilet paper under the sink water. Jason was probably standing completely still looking at Toby for a minute before finally telling him there’s a med kit in the kitchen.
☾ Jason was completely quiet as he used disinfectant around the edges of Toby’s wound, being as careful as he could as to not cause more pain to a boy he knew couldn’t feel it in the first place. After he put the bandages on, he asked Toby:
“Why didn’t you tell me? I would’ve helped”
“B-bec-cause I-I’ve d-done it before.”
“Clearly you didn’t do it right, water isn’t enough to kill bacteria.”
“I don’t, it would just look make me look bad if you died while I’m watching you.”
☾ After Toby went to bed that night, Jason left everything he used to clean Toby’s wound somewhere he could find it and wrote instructions on what to do next time, not that he needed them, Toby was smart, but Jason still couldn’t figure out why it bothered him so much that he didn’t ask for help, he doesn’t like kids so why should he care about how well he cleaned his wound?
☾ In the morning, Jason invited Toby to play chess, Toby told him he didn’t know how to play chess, but Jason said he’d teach him.
☾ by the end of the week, Jason taught Toby how to play chess, how to clean his wound, and some other things he wished he knew when he first became a Creepypasta. When Masky came to pick him up, he wanted to say he was relieved, that this kid didn’t matter, but he couldn’t and he didn’t know why.
☾ Jason didn’t of course. At least he thought he didn’t, but right before Toby left with Masky, Toby turned around and hugged Jason.
*Sorry this took so long for the people that wanted to read this :( but if there are any other Creepypastas you want headcanons of, or what their week in the toyshop was like, let me know<3
