SIKE euro summer continues because my Balkan boo is stateside for the month

For the last 2 months or so I’ve been connecting with my maternal grandmother’s sister (also calling her grandma) and we’re now at the point where she is texting me blueprints for a house she is having built. I have A LOT of questions but she’s very funny and well traveled which is cool and she was angry I didn’t stop by London to visit her when I went to Oslo (she has not picked up the phone every single time I’ve tried to call her to even make a plan 😂). She is also advising that I move to Norway as soon as possible?! (I literally have a family ??) I lmaoo… trying to make sense of not being so estranged. I’ve built and created so much chosen family that I think a lot of feelings around being rejected by blood is coming up. We’ll see how it goes!

Sitting here with deep regret that I didn’t buy at least 1000 NOK worth of Smash to keep in the overheard bin. Now I know for next time.

It’s essentially a chocolate covered Bugle but V would buy me a huge bag every day and then keep it in the fridge so that it got extra cold and crispy and I would absolutely demolish it.

midnight suns, streets lined with currant bushes, fresh rivers in the middle of the city, afternoons filled with thunder and heat, eternal gratitude for this kind of grace and love.
