Alice in Quantumland – a CERN physicist reimagines Alice in Wonderland as an allegory of quantum mechanics, doubly delightful for using a stereotype-busting female protagonist to tackle some of the most intense science ever.

This is pretty cool. Also, many people may not realize that Lewis Carrol was quite the scientist, and some of that influenced his writing in “Alice in Wonderland”; in particular, I’m thinking of the “looking glass” (i.e. mirror) and how it affects the “handedness” (or “chirality”) of a molecule. Chewing a piece of spearmint gum could suddenly taste like chewing caraway seed gum if one went through the looking glass (x).
