The irony of this new breed of self-righteous AI hunters on AO3 is that they're all just copy and pasting peoples fics into AI detectors, which are all operated by AI and therefore THEY are feeding people's work into the algorithm without their consent and in some cases no doubt circumventing the locks people put on to avoid getting scraped...

Don't copy and paste anyone's AO3 work into third party websites, you're not the good guys in this situation?

fun facts about stt and how i go about writing it

aka, i am procrastinating refreshing my outline :)

i could have easily - ohhh so easily - made this a dramatic, angst-filled MESS but i chose not to. i took a shot in the dark and aimed at gojo's baseline goofiness to build from. it was a conscious choice and i'm sticking to it.

taking the concept's core, two people with opposing ideologies and shoving them into a small space, is by its own nature a formulation for drama. thats why so many stupid reality shows have so much drama in them: people make conflict. and when you apply that same situation to sorcerers at the level of gojo and sukuna,

its worse.

i could have chosen to dwell longer on gojo having an internal crisis over the fact that sukuna is his destined enemy. he knows he'll have to fight sukuna someday. he knows that shit will end with someone dead.

theres many places where angst would fit very well. places where i could take the time to start a deep dive into gojo's psyche and the impact being the strongest sorcerer placed on him, but instead

i am deliberately keeping it light. those things will be mentioned but in depth? not likely. same thing goes for sukuna, actually - there's undoubtedly aspects of his cursed-spirit-incarnation thing that impacts how he lives and all that good shit, but if i took the time to examine all of that within the story itself, it would quite literally never get finished.

so what i am for instead

is hinting at these things.

there are underlying issues in each of them but rather than try and break down both of them, or just one of them, those issues are (loosely) touched on and referenced and there's moments where you'll see glimpses of what could lead to drama.

like, my personal favorite to hate on,

gojo satoru being treated as a weapon up to and after his death.

i have plans for one, maybe two, chapters of actual angst. later on in the story. each from gojo's pov. it'll make sense when we get there.

anyway the point to this,

is that i made the decision to write it this way because I WANTED GOOFY GOSUKU. i wanted my big bara bitch on the bottom, and i wanted gojo to be an annoying flirt, and NO ONE ELSE WOULD GIVE ME THAT

sooooo many other fics are just angst and drama and its fascinating and a lot of it is well done

jjk characters need a fucking break. give them happiness. don't drag me over hot coals every time i open a story. how dare you people get me invested in these stories and make me feel things, how fuckin dare you-

but also i chose to write it this way because i have a horrible streak of not finishing fanfics. and each of those stories was long and involved and had interconnecting plotlines,

and i would get like halfway through and stop. usually because i grew to hate the fandom itself, but still.

writing something with better vibes, something that wasn't so ingrained with plots and action and mysterys to be solved, sounded better. it's been better tbh than writing some of the things i did before. i enjoy my plots and i love creating complicated stories,

but just the goofiness of this shit is so fun for me to write. even when it annoys me, its not because of plot or not knowing how to write something. it's primarily because gojo satoru will not shut the fuck up and let me advance the story

in part because i just KNOW theyre gonna put that bitch in an ichibankuji and my bitch ass will get one. i didnt get higurumas cause they sell for a stupid amount, but i WILL snag sukuna no one can tell me no
