I just finished watching both Hollow Knight and SilkSong (Because I don't have any consoles. Blame the government)
It's not about cute little bugs at all. It's pain, trauma, corruption, family issues and the damned corrupt government.
I really like the pure vessel, they're my favorite in hollow knight. There's something about trying to fulfill your father's expectations that untimely lead you to fail and spiral after you couldn't reach the very high bar for you, and can't really have other choices due to the overwhelming pressure and dependence people have on you just by being a child of someone that is well respected.
I'm relating to a bug. Holy shit.
