due to the fact we picked a inconvenient time to open for everyone in the USA, we have decided to extend all reserves until this weekend. we hope this is more accommodating to everyone celebrating thanksgiving this week and we do hope you all still intend to join us. we understand we aren't the most thrilling and active of site, but do you know what, i kinda love that. sometimes bigger sites can burn bright, then burn out quickly. with this site, we plan to be around for weeks/months to come. because i for one (and i know julie shares my thoughts on this) want to rp out these characters and plots. So please do come an join us, we would love to have you.

what is your rule on having people with the same name?

we're not going to be allowing duplicate names! there are so many name possibilities with a site like this, that it makes more sense to not have a few people with the same name. and it's just simply easier to refer to a character that way? if anyone needs any help coming up with names for specific districts, don't hesitate to ask!

alright who's ready for a big announcement?! burn to believe will officially be opening on tuesday, november 26. however, a lucky few who participate in the early access contest will be allowed on the site before opening! for those who would still like to participate, post moodboards, fanmixes, ship blurbs, whatever your heart desires! all entries must be up by tomorrow night so be sure to put up a post if you would like a chance to get onto the site early!

i've got a question about the reaping for the quarter quell. is it only going to be amongst those victors already reserved/claimed, or all of the victors entirely? as in, then having a reaped victor who is like mags' age in 'catching fire'?

right now we are going to be just working with the victors that we have, otherwise it's going to get far too complicated. however if somebody expresses that they don't want their character to get reaped, like for instance if i didn't want laurel to go into the arena...then obviously if somebody then decided to make the final district seven victor, they would automatically be entered into the games as the female victor from district seven. i hope that makes sense?

with option c being the most popular and with opening just around the corner, i guess i need to hold the reaping. however, I am not going to post the results on the site tumblr, you are all going to have to wait and find out when the site opens. mwhaha.

though what i do need to know, before i do anything, is if there is anybody who has reserved a victor, that DOESN'T want their character to be reaped. or on the other hand, if there is anybody out there that has a character that is planning on volunteering. so if you could send me a message and let me know which applies to you, i will factor that into holding the reaping.

by popular demand, there is going to be an application for burn to believe. it’s not going to be anything too demanding as you all requested, more just somewhere to put the characters basics, so you don’t have to overflow your shipper with details. sadly i am not going to give you the application code, because i have coded it into the the site, so there is little point in anybody having it. but i will tell you everything you need to know about it, so you can have everything ready for when we open. so without further ado, here is everything you need to know...

the first application image is 200x350px

the second application image is 160x90, this one will automatically resize, so it's perfect for a gifs.

the first part of the application is the characters history. don't go overboard, keep it simple and readable...i highly sugest a series of bullet points, just outlining the character's past.

the second part of the application is the characters personality. in this part you will be asked to give five character traits that relate to your character, followed by a small explanation about each. again the aim is to be short and brief, i really don't want anybody spending to much time on their application.

...and that's it, that is the application, easy peasy. as for the the actual opening of the site, it will be soon. I have just asked julie to come on and help me finish everything off, so hopefully in a day or so we shall be able to open. as soon as everything is set in stone, you guys will be the first to know. but expect it SOOON.

option a: we start just after the quarter quell announcement, then we time jump to the games in say a week or two after the site opens? so if gives you chance to have your character react to the quell announcement.

option b: we start just before the reapings, then i do the reapings a week or two into the site.

or finally

option c: i do the reapings before i open the site, so we just jump straight into it?

let me know, because i am toying with all three ideas.

okay guys here is the deal. you all want to get on the site right? you want to start plotting and putting up threads that are going to break anybodies heart, if they dare read? yes/yes? well as i mentioned on my rp blog i am hoping to open the site next weekend, because i don’t have enough time to commit to any opening this week. however, because you are all so freaking keen, i have decided i am going to let a lucky few on early, maybe thursday/friday? And what do you have to do to be one of those lucky few? well it’s simple, just post stuff in the tag. whether that be moodboards, graphics, drabbles, playlist...maybe even blurb for your ship (like i did with ebrel) so everyone can find some ships to stalk. honestly it can be whatever your heart desires and you can post as many as you like. then at the end of the week i shall pick a few of my favorite and those people will get early access to the site. sound good? i hope so, because my eyeballs need pretty things to look at and read.

so i have a question, would you guys like there to be an application on the site, or would you prefer if we just skip that part? because honestly i am not a huge fan of them, they just seem like a waste of time to much. though if you would like there to be one, i can code one up. so let me know your thoughts on the issue, majority wins.
