veilguard secret ending option: you call josephine
in the art book it's mentioned that they considered having morrigan and isabela as dai-style advisors, and you know what that means. ultimate-sacrificed or succumbed-to-the-calling hof-romanced morrigan and left-in-the-fade hawke-romanced isabela middle-aged widow yuri. is what that means.

Rook really needs to pet the cat
What is now proved was once only imagined.
just a little wife sketch 🙂↔️🩷
I knew you'd be trouble
I feel like Rook & their love interest should have a hug at a certain point in the story (ok more than one time, but I had one event in particular in mind for this).
Screenshot used for background.

Neve x Rook WIP
I have this disease where i see pictures and have to draw Neve Gallus (this was a vogue cover i think)
Thinking about a Shadow Dragon!Rook and Neve today and how much their relationship (whether romantic or very close platonic) hits me because of dialogue reactivity in response to background.
Rook and her know every Minrathous cat — and apparently cats in Tevinter get possessed by demons sometimes, but it's a whatever. They're used to sleeping regardless of the noise, in the rare cases when Neve does get some rest, because they grew up in a big and loud city. They know every downtown tavern and every singer from the Garden and the Swan. Finding Neve might have been Varric's idea but Rook knew her/about her before the story began because they're both Dragons. They're the only person Neve trusts somewhat more from the get-go because they're familiar with each other. Rook knows how to make her coffee Tevinter style. They probably insult people in Tevene out of sheer force of habit. Rook is well aware they're more well off than Neve's family is and they don't let anyone use it against her; you are, in fact, dead if you cross Neve and Rook knows about it. They spend evenings together discussing the latest Minrathous gossip. Rook doesn't ask twice when she needs help on the case — volunteers before she even asks.
Neve, for once, has someone never turn their back on her.
i miss my wife even more now and i’m still not finished
Before Veilguard's release I was theorizing the Veilguard companion characters might have been designed to be parallels to the known Evanuris, but I couldn't place all of them.
Now that I've played the game (almost twice) I think I've figured them all out.
Rook - Elgar'nan, the leader. Controller of light and dark. The one who influences the others.
Neve - Mythal, who can be a fierce protector or a source of inspiration and hope.
Harding - Andruil, the hunter, who went mad from the Void and had to fight her way back
Bellara - June, the inventor. Master of magical artifact.
Lucanis - Dirthamen, keeper of secrets, who mastered the twin ravens of Fear and Deceit, and returned from death.
Davrin - Ghilan'nain, Master of Monsters, Keeper of Halla.
Emmrich - Falon'Din, the necromancer. Friend of the dead.
Taash - Sylaise, who's fire cannot be quenched.
Which leaves Solas to play the role he always has - Fen'Harel, the trickster and betrayer, who could ally with them, if only they will listen to his advice and try to protect their world as best as they can.
Pardon me for reblogging myself. I was completing a companion quest when I realized that every single companion quest deals with the companions defeating a corrupted version of themselves.
We are literally watching the Evanuris battle their demons.
Aelia (Neve) - A blood mage who "protects" her city via blood magic, fear, and propaganda.
Shade (Harding) - A shade of herself made of wrath and anger.
Cyrian (Bellara) - A master of magical artifacts easily corrupted by the emotions of a tyrant
Illario (Lucanis) - An assassin who uses secrets to deceive and gain power.
Isseya (Davrin) - A Grey Warden corrupted by Blight who made monsters of her wards, the griffons.
Johanna (Emmrich) - a necromancer who despises Spirits and the deceased and sees them only as tools.
Dragon King (Taash) - an adaari who wants to use his fire breath to rule others
Elgar'nan (Rook) - the final battle with the last standing god, who caused the corruption of all the others
I am obsessed with the fact that the Veilguard all gathers round to watch Solas's saddest memories and then dissects them like it's an episode of Desperate Housewives. 10/10 no notes, exactly what he deserves.
I am unwell lmao
I'm still truly devestated that we can go to Antiva but we do not get to see the beautiful ambassador of Antiva Lady Josephine Montilyet. But I probably would have died with both Neve and Josie on my screen.
Please?
