cannot handle the clownery: Boston DSA is trying to expel one of the most left/progressive members of the MA legislature bc he supported/works with more centrist democrats in the legislature. That's it. That's the only thing they say he did wrong and they're going to kick him out. The man introduced a social housing bill this year and spoke extensively against tax cuts and tax paybacks supported by the prior R governor but he was nice to/helped campaign for a non-socialist Democrat so he's got to go.
Working with centrists means material improvements for society and going to voters with deliverables. They live in a fantasy version of accelerationism that isn't possible if their members actually do work.
have you read the sources that show that the majority of people that voted for Sanders in the democratic primary voted for Clinton in the general election? disliking sanders or his fans is fine, whatever, but i don’t understand why Clinton fans cling to this argument (that he caused her to lose the 2016 election) in particular.
You're not wrong, but, your argument doesn't apply in a society that uses an Electoral College. As previously addressed on this blog, Bernie->3rd Party Voters are documented as a key cause of the Trump win in Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin. If popular numbers mattered, we wouldn't have had to live through the Trump admin. Unfortunately, the leftist impulse to ignore the society and system we currently live in hurts us from making changes to that very system.
Weren’t Bernie or busters much closer to alt-right than to Democrats, though?
Idk what data there was in 2016/2017 for that, but it seems now that both anecdotally and data-wise that there is evidence for that. But some of that data is inconclusive at best, but one interesting dataset showed the myth of the "Mitt Romney Republican." But yes, given recent défections to Russia and political "changes" I wouldn't be surprised.
Since Kamala delivered some pretty fiery speeches lately, do you think there’s a good chance of her running again in 2024?
She is running again presently as VP Candidate to Biden, and he has definitely put her front and center, particularly in gender equity issues, racial issues, and healthcare access issues. She's definitely firing up a lot of the Dem base and I would definitely see her running for President. Though 2024 is gonna be led by Biden on top of the ticket unless something drastic happens.
RBG should've retired ages ago. Like, back in 2017. After Hillary was sworn in.
Scenes from a better timeline.

Leftists have latched onto blaming RBG as a way to avoid accountability.
1) these were 6-3 decisions.
2) RBG wasn't the only point of contention here, obviously
3) she made known her philosophy of tenureship on the court before Obama was president
4) The SCOTUS was a key component of the 2016 election -- you knew this and dismissed it, WITH an open seat on the court (not RBG's)
I don't understand how RBG or democrats are always 100% responsible for these issues when leftists are somehow able to discharge all of their accountability. We could mention how this critique serves to discount their own "both parties are the same" obfuscation as well, but that's another point.
If you want to sit out of it all, fine. Sit it out and shut up.
Remind your socialist, Harambe, and Jill Stein supporting friends about their decision to sit out the 2016 election when it's time to pay student loans. They could've had $20,000 given to them but decided it wasn't important to them in order to maintain some strange hatred of Hillary Clinton 💅
Trump has been indicted for a second time, in connection with an investigation of his handling of classified information while out of office
Seven federal charges against Tr*mp 😎
Resist libs were right ✊
If Joe Biden said at his next press conference that the US has a "special relationship" with the Republic of Ireland, he could singlehandedly kill 98% of Tory columnists in the UK through spontaneous brain aneurysm.
I can only hope the average apolitical American who doesn't put much thought into LGBT people either way is watching the right wingers send bomb threats to libraries for drag events and throwing animalistic tantrums in grocery stores over Bud Light and realizing these people are evil and deranged.

"The switch to his electric chair is right through here, Madame Secretary. Whenever you're ready, ma'am."
Do people not understand that the student loan forgiveness was cancelled because a conservative federal judge declared it unconstitutional? It's gone to the Supreme Court now, and you know how that's going to go down.

People understand that just fine. But the challenge of it being unconstitutional was only upheld because he pushed it as an executive order and didn’t get congressional approval. Two years ago, it might have been possible to regroup, put a bill forward, and pass this through congress. Now we have a republican house that definitely won’t pass a bill. If the executive office hadn’t waited until the midterms to sign the order as a publicity stunt and had put it forward early on, there would still be a chance of it passing through the house and senate. It’s not both sides-ism to say that holding off and using student loan forgiveness to buy political points right before the midterms was a crappy way to treat people’s livelihood.
"he could have!!...." There is a filibuster. Nothing happens. Not to mention up to this point you were all saying it didn't need congressional approval and he should just "do it!" It's always a goal shift shit fest for you. Not to mention you spend all this energy attacking the guy who "just did it" and not the people who are standing in the way of every ounce of progress we have to claw out of the ground with our bloody nails while you stand around yelling at the sky. You're all insane and fail to take accountability for how shitty our system is AND how you are a part of that system.
