The entire point of Tinker Bell (2008) is that the other talents ARE flashier and appear more fun/interesting. These TikToks of people moaning and groaning that the tinker talent is the most boring talent and that Tinker Bell was totally valid in trying to change her talent throughout the movie are silly. Or, even worse, pushing this theory that the movie is trying to say you should be content with whatever lifestyle is pushed on you is a total misread.

First of all, Tinker Bell ENJOYS tinkering.

She falls into the same trap in wanting to change her talent, and Vidia’s negging was obviously not helpful. But at the end of the day tinkering (on her own terms, using lost things/being inventive, etc.) is what she loves to do, and when she’s able to make it her own and find contentment by the end of the movie, that message totally tracks. Also, it’s not like Queen Clarion was the one who chose tinkering for her. There was some soul-seeking magic plot device happening with that hammer!

Besides, tinkering is so cute and fun!
