6-year-old Souad has been anemic since birth, and starvation and disease due to the IOF assault have caused her severe additional health complications. In September she fell unconscious and was admitted to the hospital. She has since been comatose and fluid is building up around her brain.

Medical staff have worked very hard to reduce the swelling. But despite their efforts, Souad's brain is now hemorrhaging (bleeding). The swelling has been too persistent, and the pressure is rapidly bursting the cells of her brain, causing bleeding. This will kill her. Little Souad is dying.

She needs to be evacuated outside of Gaza, but this is extremely expensive. The cost for transport through the Egyptian border, medical care, and associated expenses comes to $6,000 usd, about €5,000 EUR. This is a devastating setback, but all we can do is push forward.

Souad has been transferred to Al-Hayat Hospital, a private hospital in Gaza. The fact that Souad was able to be admitted to this facility is an indicator of how truly dire her condition is.

While Al-Hayat is relatively better equipped to try and manage her swelling and bleeding, it is more expensive. It also is not equipped to treat Souad’s deteriorating condition, the staff can only attempt to slow the hemorrhaging in her brain. She still urgently needs a medical evacuation.

15-year-old Nour Ibrahim’s health has been in danger her entire life due to a serious heart condition which has limited her growth. Nour urgently needs your support once again. Living conditions for her on the street in a makeshift tent with her family, have been further wearing her health down for many months. The wet and cold of winter, combined with environmental pollution caused by the IOF’s destruction of so many buildings, have resulted in breathing difficulties. This puts an increased strain on her already fragile heart, limiting her heart’s ability to beat and sustain her body. She is now in a hypoxic state, struggling to get enough oxygen.

She urgently needs a nebulizer to assist her breathing. Without this, her body will continue to shut down, and she will become comatose or worse. A Father’s Cry From a Destroyed Home in Gaza 🥹🇵🇸

Every night I look at my small child and feel a pain that words cannot describe.

I am a father trying to protect my family, yet I cannot even provide the most basic things for my child. We are living in a damaged and partially destroyed home that is no longer safe for human life. The walls are cracked, the roof leaks, and every strong wind makes us fear the house may collapse.

Our home is located near the yellow line, an area under the control of the Israeli army. Gunfire and explosions are part of our daily life. Many nights we wake up to the sound of shooting and shelling nearby. My child holds my hand tightly and asks me in fear, “Dad… are we safe?”

I wish I had an answer.

Recently, the situation has become even worse. Because of the war between Iran and Israel, the crossings into Gaza are closed, and the blockade has tightened even more. This has made life here unbearable for families like mine.

Food is becoming harder to find.

Clean water is scarce.

And prices are rising day after day, far beyond what we can afford.

We are living through extremely difficult days. Sometimes we sleep hungry. Sometimes we spend the night in fear, not knowing what the next morning will bring.

As a father, nothing breaks my heart more than seeing my child suffer while I stand helpless, unable to protect him from hunger, fear, and cold.

I never imagined I would have to ask strangers for help, but today I have no other choice.

I humbly ask the kind hearts of the world to help my family survive.

It is with a broken heart that we have to share the worst news imaginable with the NGU community. This weekend, the IOF bombed the neighborhood of Yahya Al-Habil and his family. Little Omar, Yahya’s 7-year-old brother who we have mentioned often, was martyred.

Both of Yahya’s brothers Khalil and Mohammed were being treated in different departments for the severe injuries they sustained from this attack, and did not get the chance to say goodbye to Omar. Their wounds were devastating, and both remain in very poor condition.

They now require ongoing, very expensive medical care, the sum of which for both their treatments is $10,000 usd. Donations have become stagnant and their situation is extremely desperate. Please help them survive and try to rebuild their lives.
