Alright, down below is a vent art comic, I had a healthcare two months ago I had to do an ultrasound and I wanna vent about it

The ladies go to the hospital for their regular checkups

Nora's asked to undergo additional tests because there is a concern regarding an area in her breast.

this is reopening old wounds for kat, shes too anxious/worried to sleep so she calls her big sister

After the test:

They're all traumatized by the summer of 95

It wasn't all painful tho, in this AU Kat underwent chemo and Nora visited her everyday in the hospital (Her hair is short cuz they all cut it all off for Kat)

Kat survived but it was traumatizing

after the surgery:

i love steven so much. i’m so grateful future turned him (in the eyes of the fandom) from this generic goodboi caricature that people flanderized him as to one of the most beloved, nuanced and interesting characters in the whole show, which is a ridiculously high bar.

not because he weren’t these things before - he was. but because the show is extremely good at showing the world through his eyes. and a world in which he puts everyone but himself first is a world in which we are naturally drawn to those characters first. it takes him heartwrenchingly coming to grips with existing without being able to help people for both we and him to truly see him for himself. he deserves every single one of those 20 episodes of focus.

people who insist he should’ve somehow Kept successfully helping others are tragically missing the whole point. he would never see his own inherent value outside of that then. he’s fully earned leaving the world to figure itself out, however you may yearn for his help. he cannot be the perfect diamond you seek. he tried to be and failed, because nobody can heal the world alone. everyone must try to repair themselves & others, not just him.
