can you imagine being augustin jordan. you show up to the desert eager to kill nazis, just minding your own business, and instantly get into a homoerotic situationship with your suicidal training officer who keeps trying to bark at you like a dog. you go to bat for the german guy he's taken a dislike to, only to be betrayed by the OTHER german guy you all forgot to worry about. your entire team gets blown up. they've given you the backstory of another irl guy so you can be paddy's foil. the irl version of you joined the french fascist party after the war but don't worry about it. you do all that. and then they send you to colditz and never speak of you again
