So am I the only one who feels like everyone at degrassi were like WAY to underwhelmed about Adams death like I feel like they all got over it in a day. Even Eli seemed more affected by cams death (which is understandable) than Adams even though they were like best friends. Idk I feel like you could tell that they rushed Adams character off the show

Because I thought so at first too, but Miles' locker is a bit father down than Tristan's (in the first cap the entrance to the hall is further than the second, and the restroom sign is further back [behind tristan's head in the first cap, a lot closer in the second] from Miles' locker.

This entire Power Cheer Oomfchat plot has been really, really over-involved and boring and generally not memorable?

What would have been better would have been literally anything a story line about having a trans girl on the team and Zoe drawing from the discrimination she faced as a survivor to join together to support and protect their trans teammate, or have some of the girls discriminate Jack for being non-straight on an all-girls team, or having them fund-raise in a believable way like having a car wash, then speaking out about the objectification of women for money.

This plot is just so unrealistic and literally unbelievable that it's become a pain to watch.

Miles was never over Maya

He was never into her if you really look at how Miles has been developing. Nor was he really into Zoe or Tristan (although Tristan was a bit of a breakthrough for him, I'll touch on that later). He's just interested in anybody that satisfies the emotional emptiness within him. Or, more recently, anybody he can blame for his problems.

Miles is a really great example of an abused child displacing their emotional needs onto other people. His father has been manipulative, coercive and abusive to him for what we can assume has been his entire life. Both of his parents have also imposed gender roles on him and his siblings (as highlighted by Mrs. Hollingsworth policing Frankie's dress and Mr. Hollingsworth pulling Miles from dance classes because he thought they weren't masculine.) This has left Miles blaming himself, feeling isolated and separated from his parents, the people he's supposed to be able to confide in and love. Since he lacked that healthy emotional connection, he's a serial dater; he doesn't know how to maintain a healthy romantic relationship.

The names and faces are really interchangeable, he just wants anybody who makes him feel normal.

tl;dr: Miles never really cared about anybody he dated, team single Miles with platonic support that helps him learn healthy coping mechanisms 2k15
