Tiny: Mom, can we finish my college enrollment?
Me: Like, send in the deposit?
Tiny: [nods]
Me: [knowing there’s something behind this request] … why today?
Tiny: um
Me: [just waiting]
Tiny: Some of the channels in the new student discord are only available after enrollment.
Me [still waiting, because I know this kid]
Tiny: …..
Me: ………
Tiny: And in one of the channels they spam pictures of ducks.
Me: There it is.
#of course I sent it in#she’s decided that’s where she’s going so I was eventually gonna sent it in anyway#also some of those duck pictures were awesome#she also clicked the ‘pick this role if you’re under 5 foot 4 inches’#which gave her the Hobbit role#and access to a channel called The Shire#which just has a post saying ‘hey guys I got this really cool ring from my uncle’#and I may have laughed so hard I wheezed a little#oh and I love that her admissions letter had an invite to the official discord#and one of the first things that happened after she logged in#is that she got an invite to the unofficial discord.#which is just… perfection#(finding funny stuff is keeping me from crying)#(mostly)
