"I'm your other mother sweetie. Everyone has one." She assured the girl before bringing out a bag of bird seed. "Here. Why don't you feed your little friend while I serve dinner? I hope your hungry kelsey. I made your favorite." With that the beldam set down the child's plate. Along with her favorite drink of choice.
"Other mother? Nuh uh, that's impossible." Kelsey replied with furrowed brows, her voice on the defensive side. "I only have one mom who's a piece of trash." The child grumbled, quietly accepting the bird seed. She placed some in her left palm and held it over her head, the Parakeet taking a few nibbles from her hand. Kelsey's mother had walked out on her and her dad years ago, so the child only had bitter feelings toward mothers. Though that didn't mean manipulation was impossible.
The beldam was well aware of this. Having stalked each of her prey before she offered the world to him. It seemed kelsey was a harder nut to crack but she was confident she could get into her good grace. The woman laughed. Soft and lightheartedly. "Well it's a good thing I'm nothing like her." It was then she took her seat across from the girl. On the table sat little figurines.
Knights and heroes. Something she might be tempted to play with as she ate. "Other mothers may look and sound like the original but in this world we're everything they're not or rather everything you wanted them to be." She explained with an elegant wave of her hand. "Your mother left. Abandoned you but I'm always here. Think of this world like yours but catered to your wants and needs."
