fanfic idea just popped into my head, and i might just be Shakespeare.

Okay, hear me out: it starts off as you — the main character, just your average person working an office job that paid you sixteen dollars an hour. You spend your days reading trashy isekai novels and watching your favorite TV shows. Right now, you just started watching this show, The Boys , (you see where i’m going with this?) and you’re just not too sure whether or not you’re going to continue watching. The amount of gore was getting to be just a bit too much for you.

As you’re thinking this over, unfortunately for you, you aren’t paying much attention to your surroundings while leaving work, leading to you being hit by a truck while crossing the street on your way home.

You think this is the end — vision fading black, and you lament all your woes as you feel the life slip from your body. Only.. something strange happens. You wake up, to find yourself in some ladies body, very clearly nine months pregnant, and in a fancy doctor’s office.

Moments later, a man walks in — suspiciously similar to the guy who plays Stan Edgar on TV, only younger — but that can’t be right, can it? This is real life, and you must be hallucinating. That has to be it.

You ask him where the actual fuck you were, rightfully so. His stoic face transforms to what you think might be concern, before returning to his former stony expression.

“Mrs. [Name], you’re currently at Vought’s most highly secure laboratory. You worked as an assistant for Soldier Boy for six years before entering more.. intimate relations, and becoming pregnant. You came to us for assistance, to which we happily obliged. Does this explanation suffice?”

No. There’s absolutely no fucking way.

Of all places, of all the people to be reincarnated into, it just has to be Homelander — the notorious manchild, psychopathic supervillain?

You take a deep, shaky breath.

Alright, so I ended up restarting my fanfic HL!daughter isekaied Ryan twin fic again. Why? Idk, it just didn’t feel right to me, and I want to put out something I can feel at least a bit proud of.

That being said, I wanted to give you guys a snippet from the beginning and please, if anyone could read and give me some helpful advice I would really, really appreciate it.

Here it is:

You liked to think you had a lot of patience.

You were patient when a customer came in, puffed up with pride and clearly looking for an issue of any kind in order to soothe their anger from whatever sort of day they’ve had, you were patient when your father had left, leaving you with an incompetent mother and a little two old brother at the ripe age of thirteen, for fucks sake — you were so goddamn patient that when your mother said, (more like demanded, but that was nothing new coming from her), that she was, in fact, going to be taking your car to work, leaving you stuck walking to your office job that was three miles away from your house.

So as you look up, feeling the blood — your blood — soak the pavement underneath your head, hearing someone cry out, “Help! Someone please, call 911!” , you can’t help but think,

What the fuck did I do to deserve this?

You did everything you possibly could to be a good person. You had practically raised your little brother, since your mother couldn’t be bothered to turn away from the bottle, or whatever vices she had gotten her hands on that day. You played the part of a good, dutiful daughter — one who obeyed without complaint, even when there was no food in the house, the money gone and spent. You tried, god you had tried, to take care of everyone around you. So much so, that you had neglected yourself.

You let out a cough, the metallic taste of metal lingering in your mouth. You can see bright red and white lights dancing in your peripheral vision, and you weakly let out a bitter chuckle.

So, this is where all your efforts got you. Alone, dying in the middle of the sidewalk.

Okay — so on this account I’ve already spoken about my ryan butcher!twin oc story that i’m currently working on (1.3k words down, i’m trying to work on it bit by bit while also watching s2 that way i don’t completely burn out lol)

But ofc, while thinking about where exactly i wanna take this story a thought popped into my brain and it just will not leave my head.

Imagine HL!daughter who, around 6 years before Ryan was even conceived, was created in a lab in Russia using some of HL’s dna in order to create their own personal super soldier (basically, kind of like a Kon-El situation, but also way different). She’s pretty much treated like shit, (I mean, she doesn’t even get a name; they just call her a string of numbers that they assigned to her upon birth.)

Of course, she gets experimented on, but — plot twist, the lab gets busted and HL!daughter is taken by a fanatic group (haven’t decided the name yet, I’d appreciate some ideas in the comments) who are obsessed with bringing order & morality to the world, believing in equality and that supes shouldn’t be looked upon as gods — instead, they’re a parasite, a fungus disrupting the way humans should be; normal and powerless.

So, they take her in a raise her into their ideal mold to uphold justice, using her as weapon the way the lab she came from was building her up to be only a little different. It’s simple; kill bad people, save good people.

Only, this backfires, because they have their own bias on the world, they raise her with this almost frigid mentality, unable to see the grey area that all humans possess, to her it’s just black and white.

Eventually, at around late season one, after the first supe terrorist appearance) the CIA gets ahold of information that this group has a pretty strong supe on their hands, and ATP their desperate for anything they can get their hands on that might give them a chance at stopping these guys.

So, they make a deal with the fanatic group, and at this point HL!daughter is fourteen years old, and has been used as a weapon pretty much her entire life. I think it’d be really funny to give her a really upbeat, lighthearted personality to contrast the dark reality that is her world. Almost like if you put Adrian Chase from Peacemaker and Mabel Pines from Gravity Falls and put them in a blender.

I’d like to have her interact with first The Boys, being introduced as an ally in their plan to kill Homelander, especially Butcher, just because I think it’d be really funny, and M.M because he has a young daughter and to see a child be so casual about violence and gore must be pretty jarring to see. Her dynamic with Homelander would also be pretty funny, but I think he’d also be super pissed that he had a daughter this entire time, she doesn’t even have a name, was raised as a lab rat just like he was, and she also wants to kill him because she was raised to see people like him as a stain on society.

Thing is, I’m not really sure how I’d set that up. There’s also a lot of very obvious plot holes here since I’ve just started s2, but I have to ask, is this something you guys would read?

alright so I’m still working on the HL daughter/ryan twin thing, but I’ve decided to restart everything because I feel like her personality is kind of boring? im also still gonna go with the experiment route but i wanna do something interesting with it (hopefully this will involve soldier boy if I decide it fits in the story right)

the thing is im really scared about making certain characters OOC since I haven’t finished the show yet, last time I wrote a fanfic it felt like I was blatantly mischaracterizing everyone LOL

im also having a REALLY hard time writing in third person POV due to the fact that im constantly writing x reader fanfiction

Anyone have any tips on how to overcome this?

Okay so,,, im planning on writing a fanfic about someone who isekaied into the boys and ends up as a character who didn’t exist in the original series, ryan’s twin sister.
