THE VIDEO: A young Black Child, who couldn’t have been more than 10 years of age, walked into a gas station/convenient with his mother/guardian. The woman is facing the counter and the family passes behind her when the child’s large backpack bumps this woman as he walks by. She freaks out saying he groped her and demands police/calls the police. The video shows the child’s hands nowhere near this woman. Just his backpack as he tries to squeeze by the tight space.
It made my blood boil and I’m thankful for the video. What kind of evil hag does that? A child that probably has his two front teeth missing groping you in a public space with his mother/guardian and a large group of people watching him? That was the first thing that came to her mind? It wouldn’t have been my first thought. I’ve had children’s backpacks brush against my butt plenty of times and yes, it made me jump and turn around, but then I see it’s a small child shorter than me walking past behind me with a backpack that probably weighs more than they do.
The child and mother looked shocked too; as they should. This woman was acting a God forsaken fool. Also, who calls the authorities on a damn child. Especially, ESPECIALLY, when the mother/guardian is right there.
No doubt in my mind this woman wanted the small child to get hurt(or worse). She was going to use the police as an extension of her own racially charged aggression. It’s what many White People do when they call the police on Black People. Whether they are consciously aware of it or not. I could go on and on and begin to dissect this situation inch by inch, but this reply is already long.
So, I finish with this: 1) This is a blatant example of White People using The Police as an extension of their racially charged aggression. To act out the violence they want to do, but cannot physically do. 2) This is a blatant act of hyper sexualization of the Black Body. A blatant example of hyper sexualization of Black Children. 3) This is the act of believing Black Children are not innocent or lack innocence [the opposite of the infantalization that is done to grown white men/people]. 4) Not taking the time to use common sense that more than likely it was the child’s large backpack hitting you, instead of a small child squeezing your non-existent ass. AKA The Criminalization of the Black Body.
