Bradley was a little too simple-minded to use the correct buzzwords that would probably communicate how The Kit worked in layman's terms.

The Kit manipulated game code. Everything in Bradley's game as well as other games was made out of code and The Kit was just a developer tool that could tap into that.

Aqua nodded and was just about to head off in the direction Sora (if that was even Sora) evidently went when the badger begged her to hold up.

The Keyblade Master paused in confusion at first, only to gape in surprise at the offer to help. While she wasn't as used to the idea of enlisting the help of a world's inhabitants in combat as Sora was, she had enough experience to recognize the benefits of an ally that knew the ins and outs of this world.

Although that left one last question, one that only intensified once she got a good look at the odd-looking remote the badger pulled out.

"Are...you able to fight with that? How does it even work?"

❝ If you want me to be honest, I don't even know how this thing works. ❞ Bradley aimed The Kit's digital reticle towards Aqua's KeyBlade.

As soon as he did that, a whole slew of attributes and stats of Rainfell were displayed for him to see.

❝ Rainfell, — Strength: +2 , Magic: +2 ❞

If it wasn't already obvious to Bradley by the quality of her character model, it was clear now Aqua must be from a modern JRPG. With any luck we're leaning more Secret of Mana and less Dragon's Quest today.

Frankly as a platformer mascot the idea of Turn-Based Combat with every single one of those bug-like shadow monsters was making him cringe.

❝ I say we up our arsenal. ❞ Bradley envelopes Aqua's KeyBlade in The Kit's blue selection glow and duplicates her KeyBlade.

His plan was for them both to have giant novelty magic keys and Bradley could swing his around too, providing Aqua backup.

Aqua gasped in surprise at the small badger's response.

After the months she and the others had spent tirelessly searching for Sora in the wake of Xehanort's defeat, the bluenette had come to the point of expecting yet another dead end, starting to wonder if their vanished quarry had been whisked to another plane of existence altogether.

So to hear that Sora had been sighted sounded like nothing less than a miracle - except Aqua had been through enough to know better than to expect too much, too soon. After all, she still had no idea how this strange unfamiliar world worked.

She cocked her head with a concerned gaze as she regarded the badger again. "Did you also happen to see any strange creatures as well? Ink black and bug like? Yellow glowing eyes?"

❝ Those guys were scary. ❞ That was effectively a "yes".

❝ Hey, —wait! Before you go off to be a hero or whatever, if you tell me exactly what's going on, I can help. ❞

He knows he doesn't look like much, but The Kit was much more effective at kicking monster butt than Bradley himself.

The badger pulled out the magic remote from his back pocket.

❝ I can't let you go fight monsters all by yourself. ❞ What kind of man would he be if he let a woman and a child handle everything by themselves?

Bradley looked for anything on The Kit that could help them out.

He could upgrade Aqua's giant key to an actual sword if he could just find the right button.

Let's see: Scale, Transfer, Explosive, Duplicate.... is there an Upgrade on this thing?

Little does he know how powerful KeyBlades are.#Maybe he could Scale up her KeyBlade and make it bigger? Not sure how useful that would be.#Using “Duplicate” on a KeyBlade seems wrong somehow. I mean naturally any messing with game code Bradley does is going to feel wrong.#But Duplicating a KeyBlade feels particularly “illegal”. lol

"Um, hello. You wouldn't happen to have seen a young man with spiky brown hair, have you?" (Aqua - Main verse)

❝ Was he the one carrying a big key? ❞ Bradley asked.

❝ He went that way. ❞ The badger pointed down the hallway.

❝ He looked kinda urgent, —any idea what's going on in there? ❞

Bradley found himself looking towards the blue-haired woman with uneasiness. The spikey-haired kid had been holding that giant novelty key like a baseball bat over his shoulder as he ran, like he actually expected to be forced to attack something down the hall with it.

Separate enemies that appear in Kingodom Hearts 3.

❝ Hm . . . okay. ❞

Dude was, surprisingly enough, a patient man when the situation called for it. He'd wait in endless lines before — hours at a time — so waiting around for Bradley to fetch a cage wasn't that big of a deal. The problem wasn't Dude, though. It's the badger, who was had no patience to spare. Its squirming soon escalated into violent thrashing. And no matter how ( also surprisingly ) strong Dude could be, his scrawny arms were reaching their limit.

❝ Hey ! Hey — ! ❞ He tried to shush it like one might calm an angry housecat. The badger, however, wasn't appreciating it. It thrashed harder and Dude's arms trembled under the strain. ❝ C'mon, y'bastard, work with me here — ! ❞

But his urging was to no avail, the badger didn't settle. Eventually, Dude's arms gave out and it sprung right out of them like an explosive furry missile, launching itself back into freedom.

❝ Oops ... ! ❞

Bradley quickly found something in his house that should help. —It was a terrible option, a horrible option in fact. But considering every woodland critter in Dreamwood was as anthropomorphic and sapient as any human from Dude's game, there was no reason for Bradley to ever own something that could cage an animal in a traditional sense.

Without thinking, Bradley grabbed The Kit off his shelf and ran back outside to meet up with Dude.

Bradley absolutely hated having to use this thing, but desperate times called for desperate measures.

The Kit was a problem solver, a universal remote that controlled Bradley's universe, or any other universe for that matter.

That all being said, Bradley's heart quickly sank into the pit of his stomach as he looked over at Dude.

Empty-handed.

❝ Where's the⸻ ❞ Bradley didn't finish his sentence, but he looked deep into Dude's eyes with palpable fear that felt like it could burn through the human's thick sunglasses.

The Kit now in Bradley's hands for Dude to see in all it's glory could not be more unassuming if it tried. It looked like a small unplugged gaming controller for an unknown console.

( It's what I do. )#You just let a little feral goblin loose in the gaming equivalent of the 100 Acre Woods from Winnie the Pooh.#All while that particular feral animal looks like a messed up version of one of their friends/neighbors (Bradley).#If I was Bradley I'd be shitting bricks right now.#The feral badger is also from Dude's game (Postal) so on top of everything else it's also in a video game it doesn't belong in.

He slowly lowers the feral badger, its large paws brushing against the ground — only to lift it back when the other changed his mind. Maybe.

❝ I don't know what you want me to do with this, man. ❞ It's growling and foaming at the mouth. ❝ It won't hurt you. He's friendly unless you're a ' bad guy. ' ❞

Just ignore the blood stains on its razor sharp claws.

This whole scene the human was causing had been predicated on the idea that feral badger looked like Bradley.

—and yeah, it looked like Bradley if Bradley didn't have a soul, seriously, that miniature feral beast was dead behind the eyes.

❝ Just hold onto it! ❞ —was Bradley's final answer.

❝ I-I'll get a cage, give me 2 seconds! ❞ Bradley ran off, heading up the wooden stairway of his rustic country house and entering the porch door, leaving Dude to wait for him out in the woods that surrounded Bradley's home on all sides and control the feral badger in the meantime.

With the door closed behind him, Bradley was out of sight. Lord knows how long he'd take to find accommodations for Dude's "pet" on such short notice.

There's a couple takeaways we can take from this.

There are at least 3 Bradley the Badger games, most likely more.

Bradley the Badger 3 was the first 3D one.

The 2 prior Bradley the Badger games were most likely 2D games released during the 16-bit era.

I think the Bradley the Badger lore is going for: "What if the Bubsy Bobcat games were wildly successful?". Creating a massive, highly marketable franchise that appealed to both children and adults.

I'm not sure where I'm going with this, I just noticed there was no discussion about this poster when it's probably the most interesting piece of #lore we have so far.
