“Yeah, I think it looks good. I’d make an argument for great. But I’d say it’s that color that makes it just a ‘good’ compliment.” She said, with a shrug. “I mean I think we always have room for improvement. But I’m also a beauty blogger. So I tend to spend like 95 percent of my time trying to find new trends.” She told him. “There’s nothing wrong with sticking to what you know. But you might benefit from some color once in awhile.”

Jacy couldn’t help but laugh, nodding as he took in her words. “If this were for an event or some press thing, I would totally be for trying something fun and colorful. But this is for meetings. I can’t have anything too wacky and wild.”

Lightly she tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and just nodded. It was still something that was sore in Candi, but she didn’t want to show it too much. With a small laugh and smile she nodded. “Great, I mean I’m glad he’s happy to be back. I’m sure that helps motivate him to make some new music.” 

As they spoke, he tucked his hands into the pockets of the suit. “Yeah, we’re all getting back into things now,” Jacy said gently before taking a breathe. “You know, if you messaged him, he’d probably answer.”

“Good! I mean, you do what makes you happy. But if you ever want to take that route, I’d practice a bit more.” She winked at him and laughed softly. “Though you’re funnier than a lot of my customers. So you have that going for you.”  Polly looked over his suit for a few seconds. “It is, but it’s not bad. Unless you want to be on the cutting edge of fashion. I say wear what you love as long as it’s good quality. And this very much is. I can only imagine how much it will cost you.”

A smug smile grew on his face at her compliment. “Well thank you,” Jacy said with a charming grin on his face. With the conversation moving on, he turned to find a mirror and stare at the suit a little long. “I do quite like it. If it were for events, I probably would try and make sure it was in but I suppose having last season doesn’t hurt for meetings and such,” He explained with a tilt of his head. “So - Are we thinking this is it?”

She was impressed by how aware he was of his actions towards others. It was a good thing to see in people. She stared at the menu for a few seconds before her eyes went back on him. “Je vous remercie. I like to think I’m not a complete bore on most nights.” She  set her menu down. “I’m up for anything food-wise, but you will be dancing with me tonight.”

Jacy chuckled, shaking his head. “Oh ho ho -- I think you’re probably the further from a complete bore, ever really,” Despite the slightly glum reminder of Elsa, Jacy immediately felt himself relaxing back again. A smile remained on his face. “Oh I am, am I?” He asked, eyebrow quirked.

Polly grinned and rested her hand on his shoulder. “See! Now you know for the future.” She shook her head, smile still firm on her face. “No, your not. You’re funny though. Unless it’s your job,” she paused and raised and eyebrow questioningly. “It’s not, right? Please tell me it’s not. You just have to find the right people who want to actually help you and are not just looking to sell you a last season Saint Laurent.”

“My job?” Jacy snorted. “To be funny? God no,” He gave a firm shake of his head. “I’m funny but definitely not funny enough to be a comedian or anything, christ,”  He looked down at the suit, adjusting it slightly. “Is this last season?”

“Clara,” she said politely. “I’m sorry. I hear Miss so much from my students that I try not to be called it outside of work.” As he went on she nodded her head. “Oh no, I get it. My dad is the same way. My mom buys all of his suits and his fancier articles of clothing, so any time he tried to go out on his own was a small disaster.” She laughed lightly. “But you’re doing a lot better than he ever did.”

Jacy chuckled, nodding. “Clara. It’s my pleasure,” As she continued to speak, he began to remove the blazer. Jacy looked it over in his hands, eyes running along each of the seams. It wasn’t too long before he looked back up to her. “Thank you,” He said with a grin. “The only fashion sense I have is thanks to a stylist. I’d say you should have seen me before, but I’d be too ashamed to expose that now. Especially when you’ve seen me in a suit.”

Jacy wouldn’t ever say that he has a type, neither is this a conscious decision. But when it comes to dating, he tends to go for blondes.

Canid nodded. She knew the deal, the business - the band and the boys. Which really just lead to her main focus of everything. Nodding slowly as he talked about new music she pulled herself together enough to just ask. “And Noah… how’s he?” 

It shouldn’t have surprised him really that Candi asked, but Jacy raised his eyebrows all the same. “Noah,” He repeated. “He’s good, yeah. He’s well. I think he might be the happiest of all of us that we decided to settle down here if I’m being honest,” A small laugh fell from Jace’s lips. “He couldn’t wait to get back here.”

Polly couldn’t help the small laugh that left her at his confused face. “Sorry. Sometimes I forget not everyone is so well versed in fashion.” She traced her fingers across where the suit pulled at the button, making an ‘X’ shape. “It’s more simple than it sounds. You’ve got a couple of choices. Maybe they have a jacket with a wider shoulder size in this style? That should fix the problem. I can see that it’s pulling a bit tight across your back. Or if they don’t and you really love it, you might be able to get it tailored correctly.”

The concentration on Jacy’s face as the other spoke was visible. “Right,” Jacy mumbled quietly to himself. “Okay -- That,” He looked down at the X she was mentioning. “That doesn’t sound too difficult?” Jace looked back up with a hopeful look in his eyes. “I’m a literal mess.” He laughed.

Candi crossed her arms and looked over the suit again and just nodded to herself. “Well, I think it looks good on you. Something that’s pretty professional, but you could dress it down too to a club or something.” She stated brushing back some hair. “And how’s the band and music going?” 

Jacy stilled looked down at the suit, turning here and there as Candi spoke. “Yeah, that’s what I used my other suit for,” He explained. Eventually, after a couple more turns, he looked back up to the brunette. “That’s why I like to make sure I have suits,” Jacy said with a smile before taking a breathe. “Oh uhm,” He rolled his shoulders back. Band Jacy time. “They’re good yeah. We’re slowly trying writing new music again, just flexing the creative muscles, yaknow.”

“Oui. Everything is going very well.” She giggled a bit when he pulled her seat out and she took a seat and patted his arm before he went over to his side of the table. “I’m so sorry, amour. That is never an easy thing to deal with. But I do hope you find yourself someone. I believe everyone should have someone. But for now…you have me.”

“It’s okay,” Jacy said warmly as he walked around to his own seat. “It was unfair of me to even assume anything really. I shouldn’t have,” As he continued to speak, Jacy pulled out menus from the stand in the middle of the table. Jacy handed Fiona hers. “I do, yes. I’m not quite at desperate-dinners-alone just yet,” He laughed. “You are good company.”

“It would probably be Twitter? That’s mainly because of my job though. I’ll be constantly on it throughout the day - Whereas with something like Instagram, I’ll sit down and just spent ten minutes and then won’t look again for the rest of the day.”

Jenny would be lying if she had said she didn’t like his style. He was insistent to pay for her drinks, to be a gentleman, and she did appreciate that. She was no expert on first impressions but he seemed alright. With a nod she brought her drink to her lips for a long sip before letting the glass rest on the counter in front of her. At the sight of his smile Jenny couldn’t help but smile herself. “Ah, alright, a band man, I can appreciate that.” she added, a hint of a smirk tugging at the corner of her lips. “Me? Oh I’m definitely a solo performer. I mean I’ll occasionally perform a duet but it’s really just mostly me and my piano. And it’s usually jazz.” 

“Yep,” He chuckled and nodded slowly. “I’m the kind of, front man. I’m the lead singer, and I can play guitar. It’s a very collaborative thing though,” Jacy went on to clarify. He always hated the assumption that a lead man made the decision on everything, was in control of everything. If anything, the last thing he wanted was for it to be that way. “A piano? Wow, that’s really -- really elegant,” Jacy said with a smile as he looked at her. “So, do you do tours and such? Or are you based at particular places? Like, are you a house musician?”
