physically i'm in july, but mentally i’m still processing february.
I love fat butches so much. I love older fat butches with graying hair. I love fat butches that ride motorcycles and wear whatever they want. I love fat butches that love themselves and unapologetically love other women. I love fat butches of color navigating the murky intersection of race, sexuality, and gender-nonconformity. I love angry fat butches and tired fat butches and man-hating fat butches. I love short fat butches and tall fat butches. I love fat trans butches. I love my fat butches who have proudly reclaimed being fat. I love fat butches struggling with self-image issues and I hope they know that taking it one day at a time is okay. I love fat butches.

“i must have flowers, always, and always”
white women & other marginalized white people are still complicit in racism and that needs to be acknowledged, especially in heavily nonwhite spaces such as the wlw community.
i feel like white people genuinely don’t understand that any system of oppression they face, we face too PLUS the added burden of racism. the constant fetishization that wlw face is only increased by the fetishization that woc face. misogyny is not an exclusively white issue, homophobia/lesbophobia/biphobia is not an exclusively white issue, etc etc. nothing is an exclusively white issue.
this doesn’t even touch on how much woc have done for feminism & the wlw community and how white women have historically ignored that. being sapphic is not a white invention or a white-only thing and it should not be treated as such.
