Let’s see... a timeline where Elliot took Wilbur (Kukku XV) and ran.

This would likely result in Elliot and Wilbur becoming rogue on-the-run Mobians, as Elliot running off with the young bird would cause a major conflict because, logically, as long as Wilbur was still alive, he would have every right to claim the Armada as his once XIV was killed or passed away. So, XIV has two options: kill Wilbur, or claim his son as his own.

Being the awful hybridist piece of shit he is, XIV opts to kill Wilbur and Elliot instead.

In the meantime, Wilbur would come out nothing like his modern day equivalent, outside of becoming an excellent fighter. He’d even have his eyes still. He’d also never end up taking his father’s name. He’d easily be able to explore himself and find who he really is. Mainline Kukku is.... a busted dude.

Perhaps they’d be taking shelter in Midesta (remember, the current generation of the Babylon Rogues does not exist yet, this is 40-41 years in the past. Most of the mainline Sonic cast doesn’t exist yet, either. Neph, however, does exist. Canonically she is 42, check her wiki page! Maybe they’d be childhood friends?)

Another place I could see Wilbur being raised would be somewhere in Northamer, but in reality, they could have ended up anywhere. But one thing I’d think of in a timeline like this is, while on the run, Wilbur and Elliot would learn to fight and use weapons to their fullest extent. I could easily see both of them becoming mercenaries. That’s a fact.

This version of Wilbur would do anything to take down the Battlebird Armada. Fukurokov would not be in his current position, and Speedy obviously wouldn’t exist. Elliot would likely live to old age, and Wilbur would continue to go by his birth name. Perhaps he would join the Freedom Fighters.

the timeline in which they had a person in their life when they needed one the most.

the timeline in which instead of the most influential person in their life, they had a person who had the complete opposite effect on them.

the timeline in which they took a chance they didn’t in canon.

Don’t tell black people how to feel about the police. So many of us have had enough of this going on for years. This type of abuse and racism is both historic and systemically ingrained in our society. Saying you’re our ally but then claiming that the outcry towards the police is unfounded is disingenuous as fuck.

Color exists. If you don’t see color, hate to break it to you: that’s indicative of privilege. Color exists and you choosing not to see it is essentially admitting you don’t face the challenges of what it means to be a POC. That’s great. I’m happy for you. But when you start sprouting ignorant shit like this whilst claiming to be an ally, you need to understand that your ignorance IS harmful to the black lives matter movement.

I understand that what’s going on is scary. I’m sure some of you want this to stop hitting your dash. I’m sorry about that. However, I’m also going to say that this unfortunately isn’t just going to stop because you’re uncomfortable. People are legit protesting and fighting for human rights because a group of people have been historically crushed by an oppressive, lopsided system that disenfranchises them based on their race. There is a systemic power at place that has kept this group of people in predominantly lower positions of power while making it hard to exercise class mobility in a capitalist system where class mobility SHOULD exist. And, statistically, this group of people have been victims of mass incarceration, lower standards of living, and, as now you all have to see regardless of if you want to or not, police brutality.

I get it. I really get that this is new and scary for some people But please literally educate yourself and exercise human decency. I’m sick and tired of seeing people handle this so terribly and I’m equally sick and tired of having to step in and educate. I do it because this is my livelihood and also my career, but this is also why I can’t remain silent. Please, please, please, PLEASE try to educate yourself if you’re unsure, ask if you’re given permission, and genuinely try to be an ally.

Do not tell black people how to feel. Stop pretending color doesn’t exist because even if YOU don’t see color, guess what? The fucking world does, and THAT’S WHY WE’RE HERE, and that’s EXACTLY why people are so fucking incensed at the police force because, as they’ve evidenced throughout the entire history of America, COLOR IS CLEAR TO THEM AND IS A BASIS FOR ABUSE.
