Thoughts on dark skin girls and colorism?

I 100% recognize that I benefit from colorism - espeeecially in the film industry. I’m sick and tired of the glaring lack of representation that exists for black people. The black characters that do exist are often token characters played by light skin actors. Which is why I want to create nuanced black characters as a film director.
