A journalist stationed at a Gaza hospital who has been able to make a call via his Turkish sim:
"We’re in Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital. We have no idea what’s happening. There’s no connection, no Wi-Fi, no reporters. We’re cut off from everything.. People can’t call ambulances or civil defense. We are being bombed in an unprecedented manner. The sky around us just lights up [with explosions], and no one knows what’s going on. You can’t reach anyone, even if they’re only 500 meters away. Ambulances and medics are begging reporters to let them know which streets are getting bombarded to go rescue the victims but the reporters themselves don’t know where anything is happening [because of the connection loss]. We are trying to report the news but we have no idea what’s happening.”
The fact there are people who STILL think the A in LGBTQIA+ means ally is devastating
Validating yourself and experiences sounds like:
It’s okay to recognize that this is difficult
It’s understandable that I’m feel upset
I am listening to what my body needs
I’m taking things one step at that’s okay
My pain is real it’s okay to say “no”
Resting is productive
My well-being is important
I deserve appropriate my health
All my feelings are valid
It’s okay to cancel plans if I need to
I need to leave this event now and that okay

Instead of making posts about what people halfway across the world should do on a dying website, I'm going to link to organizations that you can donate to that can actually help.
Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) works for the health and dignity of Palestinians living under occupation and as refugees. They provide immediate medical aid to those in great need, while also developing local capacity and skills to ensure the long-term development of the Palestinian healthcare system.
Addameer Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association is a Palestinian non-governmental civil institution that works to support Palestinian political prisoners held in Israeli and Palestinian prisons.
Samidoun is an international network of organizers and activists working to build solidarity with Palestinian prisoners in their struggle for freedom.
Refuser Solidarity Network provides crucial support to Israel's military refusers in the toughest of political circumstances. They provide funds for for demonstrations outside prison, for legal fees, for media campaigns that tell conscientious objector’s stories to the general public, for education programs for Israeli and American audiences about their important resistance to the occupation.
Feel free to reblog with links to other groups and other places people can donate to.
Jew here with a friendly reminder that:
Criticizing Isreal ≠ antisemetic
Supporting Palestine ≠ antisemitic
Believing in the Free Palestine cause ≠ antisemitic
BUT ALSO
A random ass Jew just living their life oceans away has nothing to do with the Isreal-Palestine conflict
Palestinian Jews exist
Jews that support Palestine exist (I am one of them)
Calling out ACTUAL antisemitism ≠ supporting Isreal
This could be my last report from Gaza by Tareq S. Hajjaj. Please read.
It has been hard for me to talk about how what is going on with Israel and Palestine is affecting me personally, but I grew up in Gaza and most of my family still lives there. My father did not survive the bombings last week and I have not been able to contact my younger sister in days. I am try to being understanding that most people do not have personal connections to what is happening and therefore are justifying their silence, but is heartbreaking to see this misinformation being spread. What’s happening there is a genocide, not a war. It is not antisemitic to support Palestine, it’s not even antiemetic to criticise Israel. There is no grey area or neutrality regarding this, and it is so easy to find resources that will educate you on the subject. It is my people and my home being destroyed so I will never be silent about this, but I please urge everyone to get informed and start speaking up and finding ways they can help.
decolonizepalestine has tons of information on Palestine’s history/propaganda that has been spread throughout the years
UK citizens can email their MP asking for a ceasefire
US citizens can call/email their local government officials asking for a ceasefire
Jewish Voice for Peace also has many resources for ways for US citizens to get involved, including protests
Donate to Palestine Children’s Relief Fund
Donate to Medical Aid for Palestine
Donate to help get food and hygiene kits to Gaza

✿ ᰍ here’s your reminder to eat today , even if it’s something small ♡ 𑑛🍓🧁🥛
You are doing your best, and that's all you can ask of yourself. You are doing enough, even when it doesn't feel like you are. Your past mistakes don't define you, and you can grow and learn from them. You are not a failure. You can be kind to yourself, even as you hold yourself accountable. You can't be everything to everyone, and that's okay. Yes, their needs matter, but so do yours. Take time for yourself, too. Forget what the influencers, mommy-bloggers, TikTokers, YouTubers, and whatnot are doing. None of it matters. Do what works for you, and what makes you happy and your life better. You can't serve from an empty bowl. Make the time to fill yours. Saying "no" to some things frees you to say "yes" to what really matters to you. It's okay to ask for help, and it's okay to (graciously) accept help. Make sure that when you say "yes" to others, you're not saying "no" to yourself. Your body is a good body, even when it doesn't look, function, or behave how you'd like it to. Why is that? Because you're in it. Give yourself permission to rest. The world is not going to stop turning because there are dishes in the sink, and all those "pet projects" can wait. Never get so busy making a living that you forget to make a life, too. You are enough, and you are worthy. You always have been, and you always will be. Nothing can change that, and no one can take that away from you. (No, not even you or the choices you make!)
Even the littlest things matter
Remember the time you held the door for an elderly person? Or the time you waved and made faces at a grumpy baby in the grocery store? Think now, of all these little things you've down over the years
You make a difference. Yes you.
Those little random acts of kindness shine more than you could know. That five dollar tip for a cup of coffee, or that time you hung out with your friend after a bad break up. Things that may seem meaningless or inconsequential in the moment can add up, and boomerang back to you in unexpected way.
I know the saying "do unto others" has a lot of religious baggage attached, but it's the one thing the church taught me that I use despite not being overly religious. Make a difference in someone else's life, and watch karma return to you in an even bigger way.
Every time I think that I am worthless, I remind myself of my disabled and elderly neighbor. I clean and do her laundry in exchange for a few bucks and some hugs. People in my apartment building have come up to me to say what a difference I make in her day. For me, it was small and something I did just to be kind, but to her? It made the day brighter and easier to enjoy. She no longer has to worry about clean clothes or slipping in the kitchen.
I assure you, even if you feel worthless, you are so much more. Your actions define you in ways you can't imagine, and all those random acts of kindness really do matter.
YOU MATTER
You are free to begin again. - Morgan Harper Nichols
Anytime. Today, tomorrow, 50 years down the road, whenever you feel ready.
Your body is good. Find good words to describe it, good thoughts to think about it. Maybe you think a lot of bad things about your body, but no matter the body you have, no matter if big or small, abled or disabled, no matter the size or weight or color, your body is good. It is nice, it is pretty. It is lovely, it is cute. You're allowed to like yourself.
YOUR FEELINGS MAKE SENSE!!! CONSIDERING EVERYTHING THAT HAS HAPPENED IN YOUR LIFE UP UNTIL THIS POINT, THE WAY YOU FEEL IS THE REASONABLE RESULT OF IT ALL. It dosen’t absolve you of examining your behavioral patterns or regulating your reactions, but GIVE YOURSELF SOME GRACE. YOU’RE REACTING EXACTLY HOW SOMEONE IN YOUR EXACT PRECISE SITUATION, WITH YOUR EXACT SAME PAST WOULD REACT. like, why wouldn’t you feel that way?
