Y’all really missing the point saying it’s homophobic that will didn’t explicitly state his sexuality during the scene with Johnathan like FIRST of all it’s the middle of the 1980’s AIDS epidemic anyone who’s not straight would be fucking terrified to come out. SECOND of all the scene was meant to show that Johnathan and Will still have a strong bond despite their recent distance from each other so the whole fucking point was that Johnathan understood what Will was feeling without him having to explicitly state it. Stop complaining.

Am I the only person in this fandom who doesn’t headcanon Steve as bisexual? I honestly think he’s straight. I like it better that way, it makes his acceptance of Robin more special. I mean, how many straight guys in 1985 were totally cool with gay people? They were certainly few and far between. I find the idea that Steve would only be accepting of Robin if he’s bisexual quite toxic to be honest.
Robin having the courage to come out to Steve and Steve being 100% chill with it in 198fucking5 and then making jokes about the girl Robin liked to make her laugh is my favorite thing to happen in fiction ever and the Steve/Robin friendship is my favorite friendship in any piece of fiction ever. So good. So soft. It makes me so damn happy. So DAMN happy.
