Super late in posting this, but I'm excited and very honored that this piece, along with "Exodus" was accepted into Society of Illustrators West! ✌they'll be making their way to Los Angeles via @theraisedhand. #societyofillustratorsla

Yay! So excited to have received an Honorable Mention by @3x3mag for "Exodus". Thank you so much y'all !!
Are we there yet ? 😧 Here's a sneak peek of what I've been working on for my thesis - a multi-panel, mixed media dreamscape on claybord. Only 4 more weeks until our big show!
I redid my Year of the Monkey print in a new color scheme + Gold. Yes, Gold. It makes everything look better. 🙉
I've been working on an exciting new project, and continuing to experiment with a lot of different paper surfaces and ink. It's an adventure in itself just letting go and allowing the ink to move freely and make its own forms. What results is usually a complete surprise to me, but is also something, that in this case, truly captures the raw beauty and serendipity of embarking into the great outdoors.
I recently made a trip to New York Central Art Supply, a very Diagon Alley-esque store for the magical artist :) Along with massive sheets of Japanese rice paper ($), and paper made from pressed fruit and vegetables ($$), the clerk showed me sheets of Mother of Pearl ($$$). For now, I'll have to be content with my own imitation-pearl - homemade and crafted exquisitely from ink and pixels.
An education from the School of Visual Arts would be amiss without taking a silk screen class from the great David Sandlin. Here we have my first print ever of a Japanese mouse netsuke, made not without much help from a handy studio-assistant that didn't do everything for me.

Once upon a time in a little village.... and that's as far as I've gotten for my thesis so far :)
