Guys, I couldn't finish it yesterday because I was too agitated, and I won't have time today, so I'm posting the sketch here. It's missing Will's awakening part, but anyway, what I really wanted to focus on was Mike's confession.

The Bridge is currently sitting at 5.4/10 on IMDB. This is because 40% of the user reviews are putting it at 1 star.

I'm to understand that people like Elon Musk have started an anti-woke campaign because of Will's coming out scene. We can not, and should not, stand for this.

Regardless of what you may feel about the episode as a whole, I'm sure you don't see it as a 1 out of 10. Please, I am asking that people go and give The Bridge a high review to help offset these review bombs.

Don't let homophobes send the message that creators shouldn't make gay storylines in hit mainstream shows.

Tonight is the last sleep before I know if byler is endgame for sure or not. I've been actively shipping byler since Season 2. What's that...8 years? Wow...I've seen all the highs and lows through the years. All the analyses, all the proofs. All the parallels. All the unhinged theories. All the fanfics, all the beautiful fanart.

I was here for the crashout after Season 3 (me included). I was here for the crashout after S4 (not me that time, I stood strong!). And I was...kinda here for this latest crashout (halfway me). Been called delusional more times than I can count.

Tomorrow it all comes to an end. It's been a hell of a ride, but I'd be lying if I say the final outcome won't determine a lot of how I look back on it. Hopefully we all get the endgame we deserve and Will (and Mike) get their happy ending.

in the hopes that this wasn't just a cruel unrequited love story.. this had better be a load-bearing love confession/kiss that directly results in them aiding in saving the world, because five entire seasons of buildup between byler, only for them to get together in the final hour of the show for the sake of a plot twist, leaves a bit to be desired and feels a bit cruel if it's not plot important and didn't need to be dragged out this long. this finale needs to be world altering, in the history books, gay love saves the world.

typically i would never advocate for a full season drop all at once but that may have been preferable to these crazy highs and lows between volumes.

#at the very least...#ep 7 and 8 should've been paired together #leaving a week between them just to have us suffer one last time...evil

And its not just the fact that they made us wait til the last ep for byler. It's that they put this last 6 day gap in there before the finale. One more opportunity for us to feel doom and despair and be bullied and called delusional one last time. Thanks Duffers!

Also, I don't feel like Episode 7 deserves to be the lowest rated ep of the series. However it is a little ironic that the reason for this was the episode being TOO GAY for the homophobes, and NOT GAY ENOUGH for bylers lmao. Like, pick a struggle Duffers. Yeah, you might have your last episode plot twist, but at what cost?

I haven't even been in the tag really since Vol. 2 ended, I've just been in my own head, so WHY IS MY BYLER HOPE GOING BACK UP AGAIN!?!?! I never lost it totally, but by the end of the last volume I was down to 50%. Now? I'm back at like 85%. GDI.

One way or another at least I will be fucking free from this torment on Wednesday. Either into bliss or agony, only time will tell.

After some time to gather my thoughts, I've decided i won't be posting much until after the finale. I am fairly disappointed with what we got, on a lot of levels. I am not however, giving up entirely. For a few reasons.

First, if byler doesn't happen, wtf did they do to Mike's character? Like none of it makes sense. So many of his interactions with Will from season 3 on, both positive and negative, just don't compute.

Second, if byler isn't happening, why have they treated m*leven like this? Why did they make Will such a feature of their relationship for the past 3 seasons, even outside of Will's own feelings? Why have him be the one to supposedly fix their issues in S4, then not actually show any results of it being fixed? Why have they not had any cute scenes with mike and el in S5? Any romantic affection whatsoever? They're not acting like a couple at all, let alone the main couple.

It would be so confusing. So, I'm taking a step back for now. I don't have it in me to deal with the doubt and anger right now (from me or others) . They're gonna have to show me they really did fumble both relationships (and jancy) for me to believe it.
