nvm iām remaking entirely. iām annoyed with myself ugh.
pinned post! for now.
remake (2nd july 2021) of many previous multimuse and single muse blogs, written by valentine (aka magpie, gemma, viviana)
heavily under construction. barely got a theme up. will be updating through out the week as i have full-time work. multifandom canon and original characters and fandomless characters. ^_^ guugle duc here with basic infoĀ (currently being fiddled with), will change later.
ok hi i might uh. re-do this blog and re-set what characters i have on here. <3 iāll just use plain tags i think ugh
anyway! pinned post!
hi iām rebooting this and currently have other blogs on hiatus (@/eatspages, @/eyehosted, @/maliwan012 & @/malusionist, @/nosons), and i plan on making yet another blog for a pair of ocs soon. expect slow as hell activity as i try to get back into the groove. at some point iāll start following/re-following people. <3
How to uplift & love lesbians in the rpc (& hopefully always??) even if you yourself are not a lesbian:
listen to lesbians?? esp trans lesbians and/or lesbians of color. weāre not a hive mind and weāre gonna vary depending on the person lmao.
if a character youāre playing is revealed to be a lesbian then itās time to hang up the ships you have with men (because no, you canāt be a lesbian and date men, thatās Kinda A Thing), change your museās bio and rules, and move the fuck on. maybe make a psa post if youāre feeling sparky.Ā
this isnāt the time to makeĀ āāāāāausāāāāā where your lesbian muse is bi, dig your heels into the ground, or goĀ ācanon divergentā or w/e just so u can continue to ship them w/ men. Thatās overtly shitty.
if you see friends doing this shit, you need to tell them to curb that shit. Itās not the time to be likeĀ āWell itās their RIGHT toāā NAH DUDE, itās erasure. period.
This is related to the first one, but also UNLEARN LESBOPHOBIA.Ā
If someone says youāve done something lesbophobic take a step back, evaluate, and then be better going forward. Dont play the keyboard bongos whilst insisting that youāre really in the right or guilt-trip the person telling you (ei:Ā āim sorry iām a horrible person and should dieā)
Actively support lesbians.Ā Trans lesbians and Lesbians of color. Older lesbians and baby lesbians who are just figuring themselves out. Lift their voices and make them feel loved and valued!! Itās easy and free!!!
Take an interest in lesbian muses! Again. Especially lesbian muses of color and trans lesbian muses. They need love! A lot of times people kinda. lose interest in muses that they donāt think are asĀ āshippableā. š f/f š ships š are š good š ships! š
feel free to add.
ALSO FUCKING LEARN THAT COMP-HET IS A THING. A bunch of lesbians have dated men in the past before they realized who they were. They may have dated men to actively suppress that part of themselves. If a character who is later confirmed to be a lesbian has had relationships with men that doesnāt invalidate her sexuality. Thank you.
Additionally: making fun of butches? Acting like theyāre inherently predatory and/or portraying them as such in your writing? Super lesbophobic jsyk
portraiyalā, sasha:
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā she was right about one thing. mr. peanut did hate her. it did make sasha feel a little better that someone was making things difficult for her impostor while everyone else had accepted her wholeheartedly into their lives like she was the same person. her dog had chosen to bark and be difficult, the only kind of relief sheād gotten while trapped behind a frame, unable to do anything.
Ā Ā Ā Ā ā good. heās not the only one who hates you. ā her voice was soft, barely audible but laced with venom. her painted features furrowed as she watched with dull eyes. time was hard to gauge, but sheād grown more and more resigned to her place.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā ā what could you possibly say that i would like? ā getting her hopes up that she would finally be free was one sheād given up a long time ago. the impostor probably just wanted to rub something new in her face.
No surprise that Sasha hates them. Graham does, too, but he never says anything. Never did, once heād been put in the painting. They donāt expect to be liked, of course, and fear is expected, and evident, but the hatred... not unwelcome at all.
The smile is all teeth, giddily wide.Ā āFreedom! Your life back, just as the moment you left it.ā They cock their head to the side in thought.Ā āWell, I mean that youāll be recognised as you. I canāt promise time travel.ā A little giggle, then,Ā āBoth you and Graham.ā Thereās a surprised look from the man, unaged since... oh, was it 2006? Just a little over ten years (at a guess), now. Goodness.
Anyway-- oh, Mr. Peanutās about to go for the ankles. Bother!Ā āSo,ā they say, hopping away from Mr. Peanut and his flush of rage,Ā āI bring you out of there, and, in return, you destroy the Web table. The one with the--ā The not-anything jumps onto the table, a final resort.Ā ā--āoptical illusionā, I believe you said. Graham remembers it.ā A nod to the man, now turning away.Ā āVery interesting to watch you from that table.ā
Of course, teasing them isnāt likely to get them on side, so they dial it back, clapping their hands together, not unlike Nikola.Ā āSo! I give you both your lives and freedom back, and you break the table for me. Do we have a deal?ā
Tips on writing good starters.
Ā Ā Ā In the roleplay scene, it can be hard to handle the task of writing a starter or a greeter for someone else. Ā Especially when your partners have different preferences, and you just arenāt sure if you can handle it. Ā When you have a lot of starters to do all at once āā it can be quite daunting. Ā So, with my years of roleplay experience ā I gathered a few of my own tips that help myself when writing starters Ā ( although, now I need to get over the obstacle of laziness ). Ā I figured, hey ā maybe someone else can get help from this.
Ā Ā Ā 1. Ā Consider aspects of their muse. Ā It sounds lame, but you need to kind of look at someoneās muse Ā ( whether you know them well or not, canon or OC ) Ā and figure out answers to questions such as Ā āwhat kind of first impression do they give off?ā Ā and Ā āhow would they react to a stranger walking up to them?ā. Ā Itās best here to avoid topics that you feel may grow REPETITIVE. Ā To you and your muse, a topic such as Ā āwho/what are youā Ā or Ā Ā āwhy are you hereā Ā may be new, but to your partner it may not be. Ā Try to avoid something as bland and repetitive, and try to find a new edge that makes a conversation or greeter all the more exciting that kind of grabs your partnerās attention more so than a thought like Ā āoh another starter like this??ā.
Ā Ā Ā 2. Ā Think of how the starter will carry onward in a thread. Ā Some people like shorter things, while others like to expand more. Ā You want to try to fit a starter with your partner in this sense length wise, but all in all we shouldĀ all agree weād want a starter that could get your muses somewhere. Ā Whether itās knowing each other better, or developing a whole new plot on the fly ā it all matters on the topic. Ā Whether itās a one-liner, single-para, multi-para, etc., itās your responsibility as the one writing the starter to get something going, not your partner youāre writing the starter for. Ā Avoid starters that makes them step up and get things going ā or something too vague that no one knows whatās going on. Ā Be clear, be interesting, and find something that can expand longer than just 2 or 3 replies. Ā So you may write something like Ā āhey, im lost. can you tell me where i am?ā Ā which could be quickly solved by your partner responding with directions or something ā instead, aim for something more like Ā āyouāre lost too?? lets try sticking together to find our way back!ā Ā which will allow the muses to have potential bonding. Ā Bland example, but itās an example nevertheless.
Ā Ā Ā 3. Ā Grab your partnerās attention. Ā Try to write a starter that you feel will excite your partner Ā ( but make sure youāre excited for it, too ). Ā If you check out their blog // wishlist // etc., you may get a better idea of what theyāre looking for in new roleplays. Ā It can help avoid the problems in the two tips above, as well as giving off a good first impression as a roleplay partner that youāre excited, too! Ā If you read their rules and see they enjoy plotting, you could always hit them up! Ā But always pay mind to rules concerning everything.
Ā Ā Ā Thatās about all I have, since other posts cover other basics here!

āSāa bit high up there, isnāt it?ā This isnāt a dig at the other man, who is considerably shorter than Danny -- then again, Dannyās pretty tall himself -- but standing on such a tall building is enough to give him the jitters, if heās honest, even if itās just as exciting. Awh, hell, he thinks, and starts to climb up.Ā āMind if I join you?ā

A thing of the Slaughter. Itās still a little miffed over the aborted Unknowing ritual in the 1700s, but only on the principle of the thing. Other than that, it has no quarrel with any of itās avatars. That said, this one is giving it a very... oh! Oh, yes it knows where this one comes from. That talk show host from... oh, when? A while ago now. But the point is... oh what violence he engaged in! What violence he inspires!
āMr. Trapani,ā it croons, its voice curling through its inhuman throat,Ā āI must say I never thought Iād meet such an enviable avatar of any of the Fourteen.ā Its current disguise, Not-Graham, could wait until it needed to mingle with other human people. Surely Maxell wouldnāt mind.
funny thought about Not-Sasha in her imitator verse, where she actually meets dancer!Danny and just... she still has Tom asĀ āThe Boyfriend Who Works At The Wax Museumā, and yeah that still holds true. sort of. except sheās developing hearteyes for Danny (who is... kinda-sorta himself, sort of. heās trying in these stressful times--). so. lol.

A spider, a particularly big one, is creeping along the back of the kitchen counters. Not one of those peabodied little things, with such spindly legs, but a more substantial little fellow, and perhaps, if Martin leans in a little closer from where heās sitting, a little fuzzy, too. One of the higher-ranking favourites on Martinās list, for sure; he could watch it all day, even if his tea goes cold.
Not, however, if Jon comes into the Archivesā kitchen and starts for a cup of tea, or, heaven forbid, coffee. Which... ah, yes, here comes Jon now. Martin has to hide the little thing, or at least shoo him off elsewhere. But thereās little time, so Martin takes to standing in front of the spider. Right where the kettle is. Great.
āHi! Um, cup of tea? I can make it for you, if you like.ā

Thereād been one person it had let go, way back in the 1800s, and they donāt even remember their name, nor what they looked like, their age, or... anything, really. It had been many peopleās lives ago, itās unreasonable to think it would remember that one person, despite the extraordinary circumstances. Not a mercy, of course, because still that personās loved ones and friends and other acquaintances hadnāt recognised them, seeing as the impostor was still in their role.
It had wanted to see. And while it had served itās patron well, despite the circumstance and its own curiosity, the person it does not remember fell victim to the Spiral. It was a bit put out by that, but they supposed fair was fair -- it let the person go, and they went mad with grief, and fell to another Entity instead.
It started to keep paintings only after Rose Cooper. Seeing if it could keep them around. Abject misery of being replaced and forced to witness it. Difficult to do so when married to someone else, of course.
Rose Cooper. Carl Moore. Graham Folger.
Sasha James.
Rose is dead by her own hand, and really, thatās not the sort of picture one can keep in their home, so it burned it, frame and all. Carl... well, he simply disappeared. Wandered off-stage? Or something. It keeps the picture, just in case he ever decides to turn up again. Graham has stayed, solemn and quiet, writing in his notebooks in the painting. Fascinating to watch, even without the table immediately present.
And Sasha? Interesting. Very interesting.
Tom will have to wait while Sasha argues her point. (She finds one of the newer dancers at the Circus far more compelling, anyway.)

āEvening, you.ā Itās said to both the woman in the painting and the dog currently attempting to ignore the impostor.Ā āIāve had an interesting... evening.ā Coerced into a movie night with Timothy and Martin, and... itās not the first time theyāve thought about all of this. The... leaving the Circus (oh, if only they could, damn the table, damn Dekker, and damn Breekon and Hope, too), and... not for the first time, letting its victims out. It has done so, once, but it was long ago now, at least a century, and thereās more to gain from keeping them trapped.
āThe kind of evening that had me thinking.ā She wasnāt intending to watch the movie, an animation for children, but... well, kinship with non-human things, as much as they try not to pay that godawful itch any mind. Oh, she laughs then, sharp, deep in their own head.Ā āAh, well... thinking about changing things. I think you might like it.ā Despite that, the smile is less than kind, or inviting.
And she... does think often of that one dancer. Particularly bold, that one. Nikola might look for them, if her nebulous plans were to ever come to fruition (and fuck it, why not?), but why shouldnāt she go forward with it? Itās still a terrifying thing, even without entrapments.Ā āBesides, I think your dog hates me.ā

ā... Hello.ā She tilts her head at the other woman, noting the lace and spider-y imagery just there, a little on the periphery, a smile growing slowly on her face.Ā āArenāt you an interesting sight.ā Thereāve been very few others that sheās met -- not without some instant aggression, anyway. Goodness, the Hunters. Those of the Web, at least, could prove interesting, something shared between it and the Stranger. Despite all her misgivings about being bound to the Table, sheās willing to dig into whatever spirals out from this.

im being enabled to add (an incredibly and wildly ooc iteration of) not-sasha on here. and i will. eventually.

Heās coming up close, so close that he could tap on the young manās head, but however the Desolation has him marked, as itās victim or itās next and newest little agent, heās not keen to test. Besides, he doesnāt want want to press a dent in potentially waxy skin -- feels all... oh, for want of a better word,Ā āyuckyā.
āWhatās the matter with you, young man?ā he asks, certain of isolation -- no-one else to bother or interrupt. Which certainly wouldnāt help the younger manās nerves. Alas.Ā āSomething peculiar about you, I know.ā
