Qué hermosa historia. Sencillamente hermosa. Creo que las dos razones principales para eso son que está escrita por un hombre, y el personaje principal es un hombre. Jean-Luc, que si bien no es un “rompecorazones”, salió con muchas mujeres, por eso se rompe tanto la cabeza tratando de descubrir quién es la que se lanzó a conquistarlo definitivamente. Quiero decir que me estaba volviendo buena en adivinar quién era ese X personaje misterioso en las novelas, pero esta vez no lo hice, lo supe al final, al mismo tiempo que él (ja,ja). Y me encanta que no sea para nada como todos los personajes masculinos escritos por mujeres (del tipo, Soy Tu Dueño, yo digo - tú haces) que lo único que quiere ya sabemos que es sexo. Bueno, él no es así, por eso lo adoro. Y tiene un perro que ama, lo que lo hace doblemente adorable.

La verdad se me hizo un poco simplón lo fácil que empezó; ella le escribió y enseguida él supo que era la indicada. A lo largo de la historia lo va conquistando con las palabras, y él hasta llega a temer que sea fea, pero como que entraron al juego sabiendo que iban a ganar los dos, juntos. Capaz soy yo, buscándole más lógica a todo, pero no importa. Eso no le quita valor.

If you want to be a writer, don't worry so much about writing. Read as much as you can. Read as many different writers as you can. Soak up the styles.

Writing simply means no dependent clauses, no dangling things, no flashbacks, and keeping the subject near the predicate. We throw in as many fresh words we can get away with. Simple, short sentences don't always work. You have to do tricks with pacing, alternate long sentences with short, to keep it vital and alive... Virtually every page is a cliffhanger--you've got to force them to turn it.

Read a lot of poetry; find poetry you really love. Don't be afraid to imitate it. That's how we learn most everything in the world - love and imitation. The second part is to seek primary sources, to go out into the world. Go to the art museum, yes, but go out into the forest, too. Pay attention to the world.
