“Help me, I need someone over 21 or with a fake ID to bring me alcohol. Please?”
"Lucky for you, I'm old enough." Icarus said with a smile, "Why do you need it?"
“I wasn’t aware this place was going to be so loud.” Icarus whined, looking at the person, no more than a few feet ahead of him.
Aurora directed her attention from the mirror in her makeup compact to the other who stood in front of her with a quiet scoff accompanying the action. “Well may I suggest ear plugs? I don’t really know what to tell you here.”
; Icarus laughed “That’s not an awful idea.” The boy looked at the girl, “Names Icarus, by the way.”
“In that case, the pressure for originality is on.” Wells pouted, as that wasn’t the glowing description he’d been expecting. “There’s gotta’ be something exciting about Ohio. Give me something to work with.”
"Well...It's illegal to fish for whales on sunday.." Icarus very seriously, "It's literlaly one of those places you read about that has nothing cool about it."
Wells definitely put his heart and soul into the fist bump, which he finished with a ‘whooosh’ sound as he pulled his hand back. “Icarus. Give me some time to think of a good sun joke, yeah? Tell me what Ohio’s like.”
Icarus burst out laughing at the boy's enthusiam. "I'm certian I've heard every single one of them." He said with a final laugh. "Ohio is boring. Very..very..very

Icarus fell in love. He fell in love hard with a girl named Elaine, they dated over the internet for a year and a half. She knew everything about him, and he thought he knew everything about her. Icarus was in love, he knew that this was the girl of his dreams, even though they hadn’t ever met in person. He lived in Ohio, she lived in California.
He knew what he had to do. He quit school, packed up things that meant the most to him and up and moved to california. But things didn’t go as planned when he was supposed to meet Elaine. She wasn’t who she was saying she was, she wasn’t a she at all, it was some guy, pretending to be her for that long.
Icarus was heartbroken, he had nothing, his family had said if he did this he wasn’t welcome back home. So Icarus did what he thought he should do, travel, explore, and see things that you wouldn’t normally get to see in the world around him. He lived on random people’s couches for the longest time, just getting from point a to point b.
“’I live in the moment’”, she mocked playfully, but nodding in understanding anyway, “Total cliche, but I get it. Can’t live a life of fear or hesitation. Gotta stick to your actions. I wish I could be more like that.”
“Make fun of it all you want, it’s the best thing i’ve ever done in my life.” Icarus said with a soft smile. “You just have to work on it. Relax, just look around you, not worry about anything else.” Icarus said as he tripped slightly over something on the ground. “I think I found your bag.”
“Even a solid fist bump would work on me easily. Watch yourself.” With the slightest hint of a smirk playing on his features, he answered with a simple, “Wells, from Colorado. Who in the world are you?”
Icarus held up his hand for the boy to fist bump as a joke. “Icarus, from Ohio, nice to meet you Wells from Colorado.” He said with a soft chuckle.
“That’s … comforting, I suppose. Ok, let’s pick a direction?” She inquired, heading in a direction that led to the vast expanse of the lake, sort of wary they’d be able to find much of anything. She bit her lip, observing the edge, “You get caught up in the moment too then? Any struggles adapting?”
Icarus followed behind the girl as she walked towards the lake. “Caught up in the moment? No, I live in the moment, that’s the best way to live. Live for right now, don’t worry about the things coming tomorrow,”
“Touché. Maybe if there’s a really good incentive for winning. Be loud and proud.” Wells puffed out his chest the way any man considering the Quiet Game would. “A gold star for whoever keeps their mouth shut the longest. Maybe even a congratulatory high five.”
“OOOh, high fives that will really work on teenagers and young adults.” Icarus laughed, “Whatever.” Icarus looked up at the other, “What’s your name and where you from?
She sighed, feeling like a bit of an idiot. “I’m sorry, I’m not always this…”, she gestured vaguely, word on the tip of her tongue, “ditzy? Thank you for trying to help me.”
“You’re not ditzy, I’ve met ditzy.” Icarus laughed, “You’re just caught up in the moment like everyone else is, nothin wrong with that. Let’s go find your bag though.”
“No kidding. I think we all might be a bit too old for the quiet game, though.” Wells gave a shrug, cocking his head. “You could try suggesting it, though.”
“I’ve actually thought of suggesting it.” Icarus said with a smirk, “But the issue with even suggesting it, is well, it’s too damn loud.”
She smiled sweetly, nodding quickly before scanning her surroundings. “Uh,”, she scratched at her head, trying to recall that last time she had it, “sometime around midday I was hanging around the lake?” She made a face, almost unsure.
Icarus’s face scrunched, “That might be a bit more difficult to find than I thought, but I’ll still help ya look.”
“That would be great! It’s the tiniest thing. I can’t believe I even set it down anywhere it would be out of my sight. It’s blue! And has tiny flowers on it. I hope that’s, er, a good identifier? I’m sorry, wow, I am awful.”
“It’s fine! Don’t worry about it. I’ll help you find it.” Icarus said with a smile, “Where do you remember last seeing it?”
“s’a group full of teens and young adults,” pearl giggled, “what’d ya think it was gunna be like?”
“dunno, definitely not this.” icarus said shrugging, “I mean, granted, I’m just getting on the bus this time around, but even from just standing here, I’m irritated.”
