“A children’s story that can only be enjoyed by children is not a good children’s story in the slightest.”
- C.S. Lewis
There are toys. Toys of an extremely dangerous nature on sale here, on sale all across the country - and when I say dangerous Miss Day, I mean lethal.
“She’s got a temper as short as her skirts - great legs though.”

So anyway I love Lynda Day more than myself and I don’t even know if this show HAS a fandom but if it doesn’t I guess I’m making one my fuckin’ self.
I finally started watching Press Gang yesterday and I’m now two thirds through series 2. You can just see how it grows better with every episode that passes, how the characters are getting fleshed out, how they are growing with their experiences, how the humour gets sharper, and Steven Moffat becomes increasingly emboldened to tackle difficult subject matters. By “Monday - Tuesday”, Press Gang has shown that it’s something truly special.
This was Moffat’s first time writing for television and the result is a show defined by a girl who is assertive but vulnerable, competent but flawed. Lynda Day is a strong leader who sometimes asks too much of others and herself, she’s brilliant and obsessive about her work, she has a pretty appalling dress sense, she can be petty and difficult, but she’s respected by her peers. Overall, she is easily one of the best characters Steven Moffat has ever created. (Dare I say maybe even the best?)

The Lynda Day Insult Supercut
Do you know what street credibility is, Frazz?
No.
Neither will Spike about one minute from now.
Now why do I think we’ll be able to get an interview when they didn’t?
Lynda, I do not like everybody… I’m sick of people thinking I’m just this reasonable, decent, likable guy.
So, there were these three guys, okay? And the thing was right, they were all coming on to me at the same time.
