If your queer, your on my team. If your trans your part of my family. We're all in this together, as fuckin cheesy as that sounds.
We need to be, because if we dont stand up for one another who's going to stand up for us?
I love my actual blood family to bits. They try so hard. They dont understand. They never will.
They don't understand why I hate my grandparents, or I hate my country. They dont understand that politics aren't just politics, but that It's personal for me. They don't understand that I've never seen myself in the mirror. And that I really don't think I'll live past 18. Past my 20's. That I never have, not even as a little kid. That if I do, I don't think I'll ever have a partner or kids because every time I've tried to flirt with a cis person, the second they've found out im trans is gotten weird or outright hostile. That despite my love of children and family, the idea of having them is nauseating and dysphoria inducing.
Non queer people don't understand the inherent nihilism that comes with being born queer, especially trans in this day and age. And that every speck of happiness and security is something we have to fight for.
I hate trans discourse, Queer discourse in general, Because at the end of the day we're all people. People who had experiences that made us feel different and alienated, People who've come together and decided to embrace our differences. We should be working together, for the same rights.
Because even if our friends and family don't get it, I know so many people who do. We get it, eachother, as a community.
I know I'm not alone. I know im not crazy and that its not just me. I know maybe one day I'll be happy. One day I might see that future for myself, or I might be comfortable with my body.
Our community is so so important. We need to be there for eachother. We are stronger together. Every second a trans person, a queer person, is alive and happy, is us winning.
