A particularly good sequence from the television series Duckman (1994).

S1 E8 - "Not So Easy Riders"

Duckman is forced to go on the lam after he finds out he owes $29,587.42 in back taxes to the IRS. Cornfed joins him on his eastward romp, during which the two encounter a myriad of colorful characters and eventually land themselves smack-dab in the middle of an IRS convention in a Vegas casino. Does Duckman ever get fetched for his fleecing? Will Bernice get her wish of being swept away by the hunky IRS agent on Duckman's case? I'm not gonna tell you! Watch the episode.

Duckman and Cornfed both end up in drag, it's one of the better episodes of this (frankly) often mediocre show.

My favourite lines from this episode are "Other men will rape you-hee-hee-hee-hee-hee!" and "Play it, papa needs a new set of pumps.".

To the folks who are like “Duckman and Cornfed are basically just Sam & Max” (and vice-versa): I am genuinely curious as to what amount of and how intently you consumed both of those medias because what????

They do have superficial similarities, yes—they are both pairs of anthropomorphic detectives, one being a suit-clad, Joe Friday-esque straight-man, the other being naked and kind of wacky. People *reallly* like to ship the pairs because there is an arguable amount of homoerotic whatever to their friendship (far more the case in Duckman), yes yes thats a similarity.

But, seriously y’all, their actual personalities and what they each get up to in their given series (Duckman’s occasional commitment to actually solving a case aside) could honestly not be more different! Like Max and Duckman (the comparison I see more often) are not similar, dude! Duckman’s a misogynistic sexpest, like are you seriously gonna do Max (famously uninterested in women or just sexuality in general—aside from the momma Bosco thing in the second(?) telltale game and also just a generally much better dude) like that???

At the end of the day it’s not that serious but I dunno it bugs me mainly because I think it just shows that people are starting to actually pay attention to the damn media they consume less and less like does being a fan mean nothing anymore?

thinking about nick's gender + sexuality situation again and like.... look we're all just playing in the horny sandbox around here so i'm not trying to spoil anyone's fun but. he does suffer badly from typical tumblr sexyman syndrome. in the sense that people really like to project their smooth confident powerful daddy dom preferences onto him where it doesn't make sense at all and they dont really explore him outside of that. and the thing of it is, for me, there are really only a tiny handful of interpretations of nick's sexuality that really truly jive with canon:

1) he's asexual and/or aromantic, simple as, and has been saddled with a different man's feelings for and memories of a dead woman that sort of present as intrusive thoughts more than anything. he just wants friends and to stop dealing w/ the intense cognitive dissonance between his real feelings and the feelings of his predecessor

2) he's extremely sexually repressed and experiences intense dysphoria surrounding any expression or fulfillment of sexual desire because his body always feels sort of wrong, vacillating btwn a human trapped in an android body and an android forced into a human headspace. (this interpretation is my personal favorite because of the complications)

and in the 2nd case (or sometimes even the 1st) he would additionally be faced with this issue: is his partner going to treat him as an android, or as a man? will he be expected to perform romantically/sexually as a cisgender human male, or as an androgynous mechanical being? because there's a big difference! which one does he want to be? does he actually want something entirely different, without understanding what that could entail? (remember he's from the spiritual 1940s, he doesn't really know anything else!!)

basically what im saying is i think canon nick (without many years of working on himself & reconciling his identity issue instead of just avoiding it entirely after his revenge arc) would react to most romantic or sexual encounters like this
