“Noah, wait, I-“
“No, Y/N, I can’t wait. You’ve already made it clear, this is what you want. If this is what it takes for you to be happy then…consider me gone.” Noah shouted, turning away from you.
“Noah, this isn’t what I want, but…”
“But nothing. You can’t handle the lifestyle and I’m not gonna sit around and be the reason you get hurt all the time. You’ll be happier without me. You won’t ever have to wonder about me and what I’m doing anymore.”
“But YOU make me happy, Noah. I don’t want to just go on without you. I can’t.” You sobbed, watching as Noah was packing up his things.
“Look, I’m leaving for LA, tonight. You can either come with me and give this a chance or you can stay here.” Noah said, a pleading look in his eyes as he paused, his hand still sitting inside of the duffel bag.
“I-I, I don’t know, this is too sudden,” You cried and he sighed, shaking his head and looking down.
“Y/N, we don’t. Have. Time.” Noah huffed, agitated. “You have to decide, right here, right now. Think of all the plans we made. You were supposed to marry me. You were supposed to be there for me when we finally make it. You were supposed to be the mom to my kids. You’re my everything outside of the band. You really want to do this? Is this really what you want?” He asked you, his words carving deeper into your heart each time.
“Noah, I can’t. I can’t leave my job, my life, my friends and family. I want you to be happy, Noah. I want you to go out there, make it big and be the big famous rockstar you’ve always wanted to be. I want you to have all the finer things in life. But right now, I can’t be a part of that. I’ll only get in your way. You can’t have me and a bunch of kids holding you back. You need to focus on you and the band and with me around, that’ll never happen. I’ll always, always, always, be your biggest fan. I will always love you from afar. I will always support you and be there for you. Just give the band time and once you guys get going and figure things out, maybe we can try again. But for now, just go. I’m doing this for you, Noah.” You practically whispered through a sob and you watched as Noah’s jaw tightened, his eyes meeting yours, full of tears as he zipped up his duffel bag and slung it over his shoulder. He walked towards the door and gave you one final glance over his shoulder before opening it and stepping out.
“Goodbye, friend.”
3 Years Later…
You sat on the floor, in front of the closet, moving boxes piled up around you as you went through your things to pack up. You were moving out of the place you had lived in for years now to stay close to your family. You stared down at the old photographs in your hands that you found inside of a box that had been buried beneath storage totes, photographs that had been long forgotten.
Looking down at the photos, your chest began to tighten, your heart rate picking up and your breath hitching in your chest. You felt the lump in your throat as your hands trembled, your thumb running over the pictures.
It had been a few years since Noah had walked out the front door of your house with his things, never to be seen or heard from by you again. You could remember that night so clearly, like it was yesterday. To this day, you regret every bit of your decision. You thought you were doing what was best for him. When he came over and told you he had to pack up and leave for LA, you panicked, unsure of what would become of you. He had a life planned out and had everything lined up for when he got out there. You on the other hand had nothing planned. Your vision for the future never matched his and you two lived completely different lives, but he was so focused on his dreams, he never saw the life you were working towards or the things you had established back home. You supported Noah no matter what, but your support could only go so far.
A tear rolled down your cheek as you studied his face in the photograph. He was smiling, flipping off the camera. He had a backpack slung over his shoulder and the hood on his jacket up. His hair was so long back then, you could remember the feeling of it between your fingers. You remembered that day in particular. They were about to play a show at a smaller venue and he had begged you to come with him that day, but he also begged you not to take pictures. You didn’t listen, of course.
You missed Noah so terribly, nothing would fill that hole in your heart ever again. You guys had so many plans for your relationship together. He promised that once he made it, he was going to give you everything you ever wanted. He was going to marry you and have babies with you and buy that big house you always wanted. But you knew that touring and all of that meant all those things would be in the way. You didn’t want to put a damper on Noah’s career. You wanted him to make it big and just watch from the sidelines.
You never moved on from the relationship. You couldn’t bring yourself to date another man. Your mind and body yearned for Noah and Noah only. The thought of another man even taking his place made you sick. You could never replace Noah. You avoided anything Bad Omens like the plague. You blocked every page, you blocked all of the members on all social media. You refused to listen to them or look at anything to do with them. You wanted to erase that part of your life completely just to ease the pain, even just a little bit. You wanted to just remember Noah as he was and not know what he possibly was doing now. You didn’t want to know if some other girl was living the life that he promised you.
As you stared down at the photographs in your hands, you felt the horrific pain in your chest all over again. Seeing these pictures again brought back something in you that you hadn’t felt in years. You could see, hear and smell that photograph like you were there again. You could feel everything about Noah. You could remember what he smelled like, what his long hair felt like, what his kiss felt like, what he felt like inside of you. You could remember EVERYTHING.
As the memories of the years you spent with Noah came flooding back and the realization of how long it had really been since you gave it all up, you felt something take over you that you never thought you’d feel again. You wanted to see Noah again. You wanted to tell him the things you never got to tell him after he walked out. You wanted him to update you on all the things you’ve missed out over the years. You wanted to feel love again.
You knew you wanted to do this right, but you also knew this could go one way or the other. Either this could go the way you wanted or it could go so, very badly. You hoped for the best as you accessed the blocked list on your phone. You scrolled until you saw the familiar list of phone numbers. You had memorized all of the phone numbers of the band in the event you guys got separated back when you tagged along for the small shows. You never forgot. Your finger hovered over Folio’s phone number, your hand shaking violently as you swallowed hard. You sucked in a sharp breath before pressing the number, the call going through.
You were surprised that the call even went through. Each ring of the phone brought instant panic, your eyes screwed shut. You almost hoped that Folio didn’t answer, just for the sake of yourself but when you heard the line pick up and a bunch of background noise, you froze, your eyes shooting open.
”…No fucking way.” Is all he said and your lips parted, but no sound came out. “Uh…hello?” He said and you choked, a broken sound escaping your throat. “Wrong number…maybe?” He said again and you exhaled deeply.
”N-No,” You spoke up and he didn’t say anything. “Folio, please don’t tell that I called.” You whispered and you heard the background go silent and the closing of a door.
”Y/N, are you ok? I haven’t heard from you in like, years so this must be like, life or death…” He said and you sighed.
”Nick…I fucked up.” You said, beginning to cry.
”What’s wrong? Did someone die?” He asked and you laughed through a sob.
”No, that’s not…that’s not it.” You said.
”Ok. Then…what is it?” He asked and you let out a deep breath.
”I’m moving. And while packing, I found old pictures. And I just…I saw these pictures and I can’t move on. I’m sorry, I don’t mean to call you and dump this on you, you’re probably thinking fuck off and leave me alone. I don’t blame you, in the slightest. I know Noah probably told you guys about how horrible I was and,”
”What? Hold on, what are you talking about? Noah didn’t say anything about you.” He said and you paused, your mouth moving but no sound coming out. “We thought he broke up with you.” He said and you blinked, shocked.
”What? No, that’s not what happened at all.” You said and you heard him sigh.
”Now I’m confused.” He groaned.
”Oh my god, ok. So, that night he came here to tell me he had to leave for LA, he asked me to come. I said no and that I was just going to be in the way and that I wanted him to go on without me…and then he went.” You said and he was silent for a moment.
”Y/N…you have no idea. He’s never been the same since we came out here. I don’t think it’s my place to tell you everything but…I think you guys should talk.” He suggested and you gasped, shaking your head.
”No, no way. Not after everything. He hates me…I just know it. I don’t want to break his heart again.” You said and he chuckled.
”You can’t do any more damage than you already have. Trust me. How about this, I’ll get you a ticket and fly you out here. We’re playing a smaller venue, I’ll get you in early for barricade. I won’t tell anyone else. Just…come out and see what happens. What’s the worst that can happen? He sees you and doesn’t want to talk?” He asked and you shrugged.
”I don’t think that’s a good idea…” You mumbled. “I can’t just show up like this after he’s moved on.” You said and he sighed.
”Y/N, you fucked up by calling me. I’m not letting you off the hook this easily. Grow some balls and come. I promise, it’ll be worth your while. I think he’ll be more receptive than you know and…there’s some surprises for you as well. I won’t say too much but I know a lot and I think it’s stuff you’ll want to know too.” He said and you chewed your lip.
”Are you sure?” You asked and you could hear the smile in his voice.
”I swear. I’ll text you about the tickets and stuff here in a bit. I’ve got to go, he’s here and I don’t want him to get suspicious. He thinks I’m taking a shit.” Folio said and you burst out laughing.
”Fuck, you’re sick. I missed you.” You giggled and he laughed.
”I missed you too. Now come home.” He said and you froze.
Home.
That word hit you like a ton of bricks and you swallowed, letting out a shaky breath.
”Alright, I’ll see you soon.” You said.
”See ya,” He said before hanging up.
This was it. You were going to see Noah again after all this time. What if he didn’t love you anymore? What if he sees you and gets angry? What if he never wants to talk to you again? You never even gave him the chance after he left. You blocked him and everyone the minute he walked out the door and you never looked back. He probably hates you after you broke up with him. Especially if you meant that much…
You spent the next couple of days packing and getting ready for your trip out to LA. You didn’t have much time before you had to be completely packed up and moved out of your current place. You needed to hurry up and get back as soon as possible and finish up here. Once you come back and move away, that will be the end of everything that was left of you and Noah. You’d be in new place with no memories tied to him. You’d have your hands washed of everything he ever was to you. You weren’t sure that you were making the right decision by any means by going out there. In the back of your mind, you were just going to fuck things up. You thought you made the right decision by letting Noah go, but was it really right?
The day of your flight came faster than you were ready for, and as you clutched your boarding pass at the gate, you were a nervous wreck. In just a few hours, you would be there, in LA, with Noah again. You were going to see him again after all these years. You wondered what he looked like now. Did he still have long hair? Did he get anymore tattoos? You changed yourself after he left, would he even recognize you? You changed your hair, got more piercings and tattoos, changed a lot of things.
Staring out the window of the plane brought you endless anxiety. You were staring out at the endless vast world, unsure of exactly where you passing over at this time. You just knew that wherever you were, you were closer and closer to Noah. You weren’t ready. Hell, would you ever be ready? There would never be a right time. You just had to do what Folio said; grow some balls and just do it.
By the time you landed in LA and got to the hotel, you were a complete disaster. You cried in the hotel room, standing in front of the mirror in the bathroom, hyperventilating. You couldn’t do it. You were too scared. The concert was only a couple hours away and Folio was expecting you. No one else knew about the plan other than you and Folio. Maybe you could just block Folio again and go home, pretending this never happened. Wishful thinking. Folio was your ticket back home after this too. You swiped your phone off of the sink and called him, unable to catch your breath.
”Y/N!” He answered cheerfully and all that you answered with was gasps and broken sobs.
”N-Nick, I c-can’t do it,” You cried, your hands shaking so hard you dropped the phone.
”Holy shit, Y/N, calm down,” Folio said, his voice calmer now. “What happened? I thought you were all for this.” He said and you shook your head.
”I’m fucking freaking out man, I don’t think I can do it. What if he gets mad? Holy fuck this can go south so fast,” You huffed.
”Y/N, stop. Just…breathe. Ok? Everything is going to be ok. You have no faith in me and honestly, that’s kind of fuckin’ rude.” He chuckled and you rolled your eyes.
”I’m scared you asshole,” You huffed and he sighed.
”I know, I know. I’m sorry. Look, do you want me to come to the hotel? I don’t have a lot of time but…” He suggested and you heavily considered it.
”No, you’ll be late and they’ll get suspicious. Just…I’ll be there, ok? I promise.” You said.
”You better. Meet Bryan out by the bus parking at 5. He’ll take you with him to front of house. Just lay low, Bryan knows but he won’t tell. You’re gonna be ok, ok? I promise. It’s going to be ok.” He said, trying to reassure you and you closed your eyes, taking in a deep breath.
”Ok. I’m ok. Thank you, Nick. You’re the best.” You huffed and he laughed.
”I try. Now, get ready for the show.” He said through a smile and you nodded.
”Got it. Bye Nick.” You said before hanging up.
Of course, getting ready to see Noah again was easier said than done. You struggled your way through an everything shower, the tears of fear slowing you down and completely crippling you from time to time. It had been so long since you let the memories you had of Noah come into your mind. But now as you thought of him and how he was, you hurt more than ever. You remember his laughter, his kisses, how he would sing to you, how he would hold you at night. You missed his stupid jokes and the way he knew how to rub and scratch your back specifically in a way that you liked. You missed everything about him and thought about everything you two went through, the regret of ever letting him go taking over.
You made sure you looked your best for Noah. You did your hair and makeup nice and dressed up just for him. You wore a red tube top, a black mini skirt with fishnets underneath and knee high black boots. Before you left, you dug through your bag and pulled out the picture of Noah that you brought with you, giving it a quick once over and running your finger over his face.
”I’ll see you soon.” You whispered before tossing it onto the bed and walking out of the hotel room.
The venue was about two blocks from your hotel, so you opted to walk. You hoped that when you went back to the buses that Noah wouldn’t see you or any of the other guys. You hoped that the plan would work out and that nothing would get in the way of you two.
As you neared the buses, you noticed that the area wasn’t very busy. Usually fans would be crowding around, trying to get looks at the band but this time, it didn’t seem too pressing. You approached the metal barricades blocking off the roadway and looked around for Bryan, unsure of where he was. You saw a couple people standing outside and you lifted your arm, checking your Apple Watch. It was five, just like Folio said. When you looked back up, you made eye contact with a man. You two stared at each other for a moment before he looked around, shoving his hands in his pockets and making his way over to you. As he approached and looked back up at you, you quickly realized that it was Bryan. He had changed so much, you didn’t recognize him.
”Y/N?” He said as he walked up and you smiled.
”Hey, Bryan,” You said and he grinned.
”Holy shit, I didn’t recognize you. I mean, I figured you’d be the only random person just standing back here so I kind of just put two and two together…” He chuckled.
”So…you and Nick are the only ones that know I’m here, huh?” You asked and he nodded.
”Yeah. When Folio told me about it I almost shit myself. I couldn’t believe it. I mean…after all this time. Why now?” He asked, moving the metal barricade so that you could step through.
”Well…I guess I just decided on a whim. I’m leaving for good in a few days after I get back home and I guess I just needed to solidify my decision.” You shrugged and he raised an eyebrow.
”You’d think this would make that harder?” He asked and you sighed.
”I don’t know, I’m lost. Folio is the one that suggested this. He swears that this is what needs to happen. I’m scared to death.” You said and he snorted.
”You have no idea what these few years have been like, Y/N.” He said, putting the barricade back once you stepped through and he waved you towards the doors at the back of the venue.
”Well…tell me about it.” You said and he sighed, letting you in.
”I think you need to hear most of it from Noah. But let’s just say…you’ve not been forgotten.” He said and your head snapped towards him.
”I…what?” You asked and he followed you into the venue.
”You’re everywhere all the time.” He said, placing his hand on your shoulder blade and leading you through the building.
You and Bryan walked in silence the rest of the way, his words racing through your mind. The noise of set up was almost deafening as he brought you to front of house with him. You looked around, your mouth falling open at the sight. When you were with Noah, a venue this size was merely a dream. You couldn’t believe this was where they were at now. This was really Noah’s dream come true. Bryan pulled out a folding chair for you, motioning for you to sit. He sat in the chair beside you, intertwining his fingers and looking down at the floor.
”You nervous?” He spoke up finally and you nodded, staring down at his hands.
”Yeah, for sure.” You muttered.
”Me too.” He said and you raised an eyebrow.
”Why are you nervous?” You snorted and he sighed.
”Either this can go well like Folio solemnly swears or this can completely fucking spiral. I mean…you have no idea the effect that all had on this whole operation. I’m not trying to blame you for anything, but…” He trailed off and you frowned.
”Are you saying that I’m problematic?” You asked and he shook his head.
”No, not like that. I just mean, Noah’s…sensitive about it and I’m scared of the reaction. I’m not ready to talk him off the ledge again.” He said and your head dropped, your eyes going wide.
Was it that bad? You had no idea. You knew he was heart broken, but you didn’t know it was that bad. Oh god, what have you done? You hurt Noah that badly and now the band blames you…for it all.
”What did Noah tell you guys?” You asked and he shrugged.
”He claims that he broke up with you but…I don’t know. There’s too many holes in it all and nothing adds up. We just quit searching for the answers after a while because asking leads nowhere. I mean, here we are all these years later and you’re still a ghost.” He said and you looked away from him, a pang of guilt in your chest.
”I’m sorry…” You muttered and he shook his head.
”Don’t be. It is what it is. I don’t think we’d be here though, if it weren’t for you.” He said and you looked up as sound check for the opening act began.
You looked around the venue, noticing the seats becoming full by the minute. You had been so engrossed in your conversation with Bryan that you didn’t notice everything going on around you. You leaned in close to Bryan so that he could hear you.
”Do you think anyone will recognize me?” You asked and Bryan gave you a smirk.
”If I couldn’t tell, what makes you think anyone else could?” He chuckled and you shrugged. “But one thing’s for sure…if anyone will…it’s him.”
You heart pounded and your chest was tight all throughout the opening act. No matter the music or atmosphere, you couldn’t calm down. You knew you were getting closer and closer to seeing Noah, and knowing this made you want to combust. You were shaking and breathing heavily, your eyes wide as you broke a sweat. Bryan reached over and gave your arm a light squeeze of reassurance every once in a while, but it didn’t help. After the openers, Bryan gathered his camera and slung the strap over his neck before standing up, glancing down at you.
”We’re headed to the barricade. You ready?” He asked and you sighed, shaking your head. “Well, too bad. Come on.” He said and you grabbed onto his sleeve as he walked. You followed Bryan along the side of the floor, Bryan pulling you up and around to the front of the barricade. You got a literal front row view, ahead of the many fans hanging onto the side of the barricade. Bryan held his camera tightly and brought you to the corner in front of the stage.
”Where do you want me?” You asked and he tugged his arm away from you gently.
”Just here for now. You can make your way towards the middle over time. Don’t let him see you right away.” He shouted at you over the sound check. You nodded and watched as he made his way over towards the center in front of the barricades. From where you were, it was nearly side stage. You were hidden in this corner near stacked cases, Noah would never glance this way.
You watched as the lights went out, the screams of the crowd filling the venue. Your heart dropped, your eyes going wide as all you heard was a loud buzzing coming from the speakers. Low bass began to vibrate the entire area, your chest vibrating with it. You swallowed hard, you were so unfamiliar with the band, you wouldn’t know any songs unless they were older. Hopefully he would play some older stuff, you missed hearing him sing.
As soon as the lights flashed onto the stage, the song starting, you saw him there, dressed in all black, a black ski mask covering his face. You watched as Noah head banged to the beginning of Artificial Suicide, your mouth falling open as you felt like your heart stopped.
There he was, after all this time, in all his glory. You couldn’t see anything other than his eyes and his mouth, but you were in shock none the less. His stage presence had changed completely, his sound so much more aggressive than before. He acted like he owned that fucking stage, and you wished you were familiar with the song.
You watched him in awe as he completely owned the crowd, the newer sound shocking you completely. It was so different compared to what you knew before, but you liked it. Noah had come so far from before, you were surprised. Like A Villain was next, and although you weren’t familiar with this song, you were in even more shock when the ski mask came off, along with the black jacket.
Noah stood front and center, black tank top and black pants. He wasn’t the same skinny, scrawny boy with a few tattoos here and there that you knew before with the long hair. He was a whole man now, his arms large, his body completely covered in tattoos, his body muscular and his hair much shorter. You almost didn’t recognize him when he removed the mask and the jacket, his look changing so drastically. Even his face had changed in ways you never would’ve imagined. He was so angelic, even now. Your heart skipped a beat at the mere sight of him, the butterflies in your stomach taking over. Even after all these years, you knew one thing was for certain…you were still madly in love with Noah.
You stayed put throughout a majority of the show, listening intently to all of the songs that they played. You really liked their newer stuff. The Grey, Take Me First, Glass Houses, Never Know, Nowhere To Go, and Limits. You knew Glass Houses, Never Know and Limits. Never Know was your favorite from the older songs that they sang.
Noah walked towards the edge of the stage after Limits, clutching the mic and fidgeting with his ear piece as he took a second to talk to the crowd. He scanned the crowd, smiling as he took in the sight of everyone that had come out to see them.
”How are we doing tonight LA?” He asked and the crowd erupted into cheers. “Haha, that good huh? Love that. I know this is a smaller venue for LA, but y’all showed up. Thanks for coming out tonight, really means a lot.” He said, turning and glancing at Ruffilo. “This next song…y’all know it like the back of your hands. This is the song that got us here. This is the song that came from the Hell I overcame…literally. This song is for you.” He said, his voice cracking towards the end.
“I’m not afraid of the war you’ve come to wage against my sins. I’m not ok, but I can try my best to just pretend. So will you wait me out? Or will you drown me out? So will you wait me out? Or will you drown me out? I can wait for you at the bottom, I can stay away if you want me to. I can wait for years if I gotta, Heaven knows I ain’t getting over you.” Noah sang, his voice so full of emotion, you forgot you were even there in real life. You walked closer to the center of the barricades, your eyes wide, lips parted as you stared up at him.
Noah was so ethereal on stage, his voice and this song completely hypnotizing you. You inched forward, Bryan seeing you from the corner of the stage, his eyes going wide.
”Shit, shit, shit, no! Go back!” He called out, waving his arms at you, swinging his arm back and forth trying to shoo you away, but you ignored him entirely.
”I know the pain that you hide behind the smile on your face. And not a day goes by where I don’t think I feel the same. So will you wait me out? Or will you drown me out? So will you wait me out? Or will you drown me out? I can wait for you at the bottom, I can stay away if you want me to. I could wait for years if I gotta, Heaven knows I ain’t getting over you. We’ll try again when we’re not so different. We will make amends, ‘til then I’ll just pretend.”
The sea of the crowd and the darkness surrounded you, making you feel so small in all that was around you. The light focused so heavily on Noah, he couldn’t see much due to the flashlights from the crowd practically blinding him. You were just a blip in the sea of madness in front of him. You hoped he wouldn’t notice. You just wanted to live in this moment of seeing him for the last time forever. You were happy knowing he did in fact, finally make it, and that he looked well. In your mind, you knew you made the right decision, even if that meant getting hurt in the long run. Tears welled up in your eyes, your throat going tight.
”Weigh down on me, stay ‘til morning. Way down, would you say I’m worthy? Weigh down on me, stay ‘til morning. Way down, would you say I’m worthy? I can wait for you at the bottom, I can stay away if you want me to. I could wait for years if I gotta, Heaven knows I ain’t getting over you. We’ll try again when we’re not so different. We will make amends, ‘til then I’ll just pretend.”
You stared up at him as he drug out the notes on the final ‘pretend’, the pain evident in his voice as he clutched his chest tightly. You knew the song was about you. As you listened to the words, every second of your last moments flashed through your mind, the air leaving your lungs as his eyes opened, meeting yours.
Noah froze, his lips parted and his eyes wide as you stared into each other’s eyes. You gasped softly, Noah looking like he had seen a ghost. Jolly and Nick looked confused as Noah had just completely stopped singing, Jolly and Nick leaning up to the mic to finish the last few lines of the song, Noah still just standing there completely frozen. You couldn’t help but smile at him. The kind of smile that signified everything you felt for him. The love, how proud you were of him, how happy you were to see him again. The mic fell from Noah’s hands, hitting the stage with a loud squeal. The crowd cringed audibly at the mic feedback, Noah falling to his knees in front of you on the stage, his chest heaving as he began to panic. He drug his hand over his face, closing his eyes. By this point, the crowd seemed to think it was just a part of it all, but you knew better.
”Y/N, what the fuck! Get out of here!” Bryan shouted at you as he ran up beside you, grabbing onto your arm.
”Bryan…” You muttered, reaching out and grabbing onto his shirt.
”Look at what you did, fuck, just…get backstage and out of sight, come on,” He practically growled at you, tugging you along. Noah watched as he tugged you along before he stood, looking around without saying another word and rushing off side stage. Bryan pulled you around the side and towards the back, huffing and puffing.
”Bryan, I’m sorry, I…” You started, trying to find the words and he shook his head.
”Just…just shut up and stay back here. I’ll come get you in a minute. God fucking damn it.” He grunted, shaking his head before storming back off.
You stood there, alone in the darkness of a hallway that you weren’t entirely sure of where it lead to. You saw doors up and down the hall, a large set of double doors at the very end. You turned and saw what lead to side stage, but you wanted to get away. You came and saw everything you needed to see. You got what you wanted. You knew Noah would be ok.
You walked, slowly at first towards the set of double doors. The hallway seemed to go on forever, the doors seeming so far. The high heels of your boots clicked loudly on the cement flooring, slow clicks at first, but then in a sheer panic, you began to pick up the pace. You couldn’t get to the double doors at the end fast enough. You took off in a jog, and then nearly a sprint to reach them. As you neared the end, your hands reached out, just about to make contact with the bar handle when a voice rang out.
”Y/N?” A voice called out.
You skid to a sudden stop as your hands slammed against the bar handle, your eyes going wide as you froze. You panted heavily, goosebumps covering your skin as you stared ahead, not opening the door. You knew that voice, but you had to be dreaming. You didn’t dare move, for the dream would be over and you knew it.
”Y/N,” The voice called again and you swallowed hard before slowly turning around, seeing Noah standing at the very end of the hallway where Bryan had originally left you.
In hindsight, the hallway wasn’t as long as you thought it had been. The distance between you and Noah wasn’t so vast after all, but enough that you couldn’t see him in super great detail. But you knew it was him. You knew that voice, you knew that face, even from a distance. The two of you stood there, frozen in time. The silence deafening, the sounds of the venue completely drowned out by the simple silence in the hallway.
Your mouth was agape as you didn’t move, but Noah had other ideas. He slowly inched forward at first, only a couple of steps at a time. As he moved closer, your breath hitched in your chest, loud enough that he could hear it. Time seemed to stand still between the two of you before he blinked, his feet taking him forward in fast paces. Your eyes went wide as you realized, he was now running towards you, the look of sheer terror on his face as you also moved forward, your heels slamming loudly on the concrete as you ran to him, both of your breaths loud enough that they were like gasps.
The two of you collided, bodies slamming onto the floor as your arms wrapped around each other so tightly, neither of you could hardly breathe. Noah cradled you in his arms, both of you sobbing loudly. Noah’s hands held your head, his lips planting kisses all over your head and face, his lips brushing over every inch of you that he possibly could touch, his fingers lacing through your hair. Your nails dug into his biceps as you cried, the pain from the impact with the floor nonexistent. You were crying so hard you couldn’t breathe, your stomach cramping. Noah rolled onto his back so that you were on top of him. Your eyes were screwed shut and his thumbs brushed over your cheeks gently.
”Baby, baby look at me, come on, please,” He whispered through sobs to you, his voice trembling and you shook your head. “Why? Baby, please, fuck, look at me, please,” He begged, his forehead resting against yours. You reluctantly opened your eyes, meeting his through blurry tears. You could see his eyes, also full of tears as he stared through you. “Fuck, there’s my girl, come on,” He said, his voice cracking.
”N-Noah,” You cried and he tried to smile through the tears.
”I’m right here baby, I’m here. Shhh, it’s ok, you’re here, I’m here, you’re with me.” He whispered, holding you close. He grabbed onto your hand and brought it to his face, running his thumb over the back of it as he placed your hand on his cheek. Noah’s face and hair was wet with sweat and tears, but you didn’t care. Noah missed the feeling of your hand on his face. He nuzzled his cheek against your hand before he sat up, trying to sit you up as well. “Come here baby, let’s get out of here, off this floor,” He said, struggling to stand as he picked you up off the floor as well. He wrapped an arm around you for support and you leaned into his side, your whole body trembling.
”I-I c-can’t,” You whispered and he shook his head.
”You can, come here,” He said before he walked a bit further down to a bathroom that was near the double doors at the end of the hall. He took you into the bathroom and scooped you up, placing you onto the countertop sink. “Baby, look at me,” He said again and you looked up at him, still not believing you were there in front of him again after all this time. He was still blinking away tears, but he was calmer than before.
”Why?” You croaked out and he took your face in his hands.
”Why what baby?” He asked and you blinked up at him, still shaking.
”Why…after all this time…why would you come after me?” You asked and he shook his head, resting his forehead against yours.
”Because…you have no idea, Y/N. How long I’ve waited just to see your face again. Just to hear your voice. Just to touch you again. To smell you, to feel you. I have waited years for this moment. If anyone should be asking why, it should be me. Speaking of which, why are you here?” He asked and you tried to catch your breath.
”Folio, I called him. I found your picture while I was packing and…I just had to reach out one last time.” You said and he closed his eyes.
”One last time? What do you mean?” He asked and you sighed.
”I’m moving away, and me leaving that house was the last thing I had of you. I guess I just had to come see for myself that everything turned out for you the way I knew it would. Everything I did, I did it for you. I only wanted the best for you, and you got it. Noah, you fucking did it.” You smiled through the tears. “You wouldn’t if I had been in your way.” You whispered and he shook his head, releasing you.
Noah’s hands flew up to his hair and he began to pace back and forth.
”God damn it Y/N, no!” He shouted, his voice cracking. “Don’t give me that bullshit! That’s a lie and you know it!” He said, the heartbreak in his voice evident. “You have no fucking idea how hard these past few years have been for me! Do you know how much I fucking cried over you? Every night, have cried myself to sleep thinking of you. Every night and day, I pray and beg to bring you back to me. Every song I write, you’re in every word. Every single thing I’ve done, was done with you in mind. My fucking pain, my suffering, has brought us here. I never would’ve came up with the stuff I did without you. I could’ve done just as well with you beside me. You don’t fucking get it, do you?” He asked and you looked away from him.
”I was scared, Noah. You and I had two different futures planned out.” You whimpered and he sighed.
”No, we didn’t. We both wanted the same things.” He huffed and you shook your head.
”You were focused on the band and your future with them. I was focused on my life there where I live and with my family and friends. Of course, I wanted you to succeed but that meant I was going to lose what I had planned out. You had to go so suddenly, I panicked, I didn’t know what to do.” You cried and he stopped, turning and making his way back to you. He placed his hands on the counter on both sides of you, caging you in.
”Y/N, I never, and I mean, NEVER stopped loving you. I never moved on. I’ve been an absolute fucking wreck without you, Y/N. The guys can tell you, it’s been bad. Every day I wake up, you are the first thing on my mind. Every night I close my eyes, I see you. It’s you, it’s always been you. I have fantasized about the day you’d come back to me for years. I honestly think I’m fucking dreaming.” He said and you reached up, resting your hands on his cheeks.
”I thought you’d hate me after everything.” You whispered and he shook his head.
”I could never hate you, baby. I know why you did it. I never once blamed you for anything. I understood. From the second I walked out that door to the second I saw you tonight, my heart still belonged to you.” He smiled at you through the tears and you let out a shaky sigh.
”Bryan’s fucking pissed at me.” You laughed and he laughed with you.
”What? Why?” He asked and you shook your head.
”He told me not to let you see me because he was scared of what you would do.” You giggled and he shrugged.
“Well, I did just kind of shit on the encore. I’ll have to explain myself to everyone later but for now, I’ve got more important things to worry about.” He said, reaching up and brushing his thumb over your cheek. “Fuck, you’re still so beautiful to me.” He whispered and your eyes fluttered closed.
”Noah, I don’t want to leave you again.” You whispered, a tear falling from your eye.
”You don’t have to.” He said, shaking his head and you opened your eyes.
”I do, I have to go home. I’m moving all the way to the east coast. You’re all the way out here. I’ve already got everything ready to go out there.” You said and he rested his thumb on your lips.
”Shhh. Don’t worry about it for now. For now, come with me.” He said, grabbing you by your hips and lifting you down from the counter.
Noah took your hand and pulled you out of the bathroom, taking you down the hallway to the double doors. He pulled you outside through them and out towards the buses, but he did not take you to the bus. He took you to a secured parking lot near the back of the venue catty corner to the buses and brought you to a sleek black car, one you didn’t recognize.
”You drove yourself to the venue?” You asked and he shrugged.
”I came from home and planned on going back home after since we’re in LA.” He said, pulling his keys out of his pocket and unlocking it. He opened the passenger door for you and you climbed in.
Noah got in on the other side and as he sat back into the seat, he let out a deep sigh as he turned in the seat, taking a full look at you. You met his gaze and raised an eyebrow.
”What?” You asked and he smiled.
”Fuck, you’re so fucking perfect baby,” He said breathlessly, shaking his head slowly. “The most beautiful fucking girl in the world.” He said and you blushed.
”I look a mess, I’ve been ugly crying.” You said, shielding your face with your hand and he reached over, lacing his fingers with yours and removing your hand from your face.
”You look perfect.” He smiled before starting the car.
You and Noah drove to his house in silence, his arm draped over the center console and his hand on your thigh the whole way home. Your hand rested on top of Noah’s, your heart nervously beating rapidly in your chest. You couldn’t believe you were here, in Noah’s car, touching Noah again. You thought you’d never see or touch this man again in your life. Noah didn’t live super far from the venue. It was maybe a twenty minute drive. When you finally arrived at Noah’s house, you gasped softly as the large house in front of you as you pulled into the driveway.
”Is this your house?” You asked and he glanced over at you, nodding.
”I always told you I was gonna get you that big house you wanted.” He said and you couldn’t help but to grin.
”You didn’t.” You said and he smirked.
”I did. Come on, come look.” He said and you got out of the car, rushing over to his side of the car.
Noah climbed out and grabbed ahold of your hand, pulling you to the front door. Noah unlocked the door and opened it, letting you inside. When the two of you made it inside, you didn’t even bother to look around. You just slowly turned towards him and looked up at him, seeing him staring down at you with a look of utter love in his eyes. He looked like he couldn’t believe what he was seeing. You could see how fast Noah was breathing with the rise and fall of his shoulders, and you could see the smile spreading across his face before he lunged forward, pulling you to him and crashing his lips into yours.
Your lips collided roughly, a surprised moan leaving your lips as you wrapped your arms around his neck. You and Noah kissed feverishly, teeth and tongues clashing roughly as your heart began to pound in your chest. Noah wrapped his arms around your middle before his hands slid down to the backs of your thighs and you jumped up, knowing exactly what he wanted. He lifted you up, your legs wrapping around his waist as he held you up, never breaking your kiss. Noah backed you up against the wall of the foyer, your fingers making their way to the back of his hair as your hips rolled forward against his. He held you up, your tongues intertwining and small whines leaving you before he pulled away for a second.
The two of you looked into each other’s eyes before he kissed you again, this time pulling you away from the wall. Noah carried you up the stairs, pausing every few steps to concentrate on the kiss, your legs still wrapped tightly around his waist as he held you close. Noah rushed to the bedroom with you, laying you gently back on the bed as if you would break. You could see that there were consistently tears in his eyes and you felt his hands trembling, knowing that he was holding onto this like it would be the last time.
”Noah,” You whispered, tugging on his shirt to pull him closer to you. Even completely pressed to your front, Noah wasn’t close enough. He couldn’t possibly get any closer, but you needed him closer. He wouldn’t even be close enough inside.
”What baby?” He answered through breaths, his nose brushing along your jaw as he places kisses along your neck, his hands roaming your body like it was the last thing he’d ever touch.
”I need you, now, please,” You begged and he rested his hand on your cheek before resting his forehead against yours, smiling.
”My fucking angel, we have all the time in the world tonight. Just you and me. Please, don’t rush me. I’ve spent the last few years fucking hoping and praying to a God I don’t even fucking believe in for this moment. You know how fucking long I’ve been yearning to feel you again? Just let me feel you, every inch. Just please, let me have this.” He begged you and you stared into his eyes before slowly nodding.
”O-Ok,” You whispered and he pecked your nose softly.
”Good girl,” He huffed out before running his hand over the top of your hair, feeling it through his fingers. “God, you’re so fucking beautiful,” He sighed, his eyes raking over the entirety of you.
You laid there and basked in the simplicity that was love, your heart racing as Noah showered you in praise and kisses, your body on fire as his hands roamed every crease and crevice he could get his hands on. You both were still fully clothed, yet it felt borderline pornographic. Noah kissed every inch of your face, your neck, your chest and collar bones, all the way down to the hem of your tube top.
”You gonna let me take all this off?” He asked and you nodded, sitting up for him. He grabbed the bottom of the tube top and pulled it off gently over your head, his eyes focused solely on the bounce of your breasts as they were released. His mouth watered, the top tossed to the side now completely forgotten as his hands slowly and gently found their way to cupping both of your breasts. He gently caressed them, massaging them gently in his hands, earning soft sighs from you as his fingertips brushed over your hardening nipples.
Noah gently pushed you back down onto the bed, taking in the sight of you sprawled out, your hair splayed out around you as you blinked up at him. Noah shook his head in disbelief at the image in front of him. He grabbed the waistband of your skirt and you lifted your hips for him as he slid his fingers underneath to grab ahold of the waistband of your panties and the fishnets beneath the skirt and gently pulled them all down in one swift motion. You gasped softly at the cool air hitting your pussy that burned with anticipation for Noah. You could feel that you were soaking wet already, you were pretty sure you’d never been this wet before in your life.
Noah leaned back as he parted your legs, tossing the clothing to the floor behind him and licking his lips as he studied the sight of you. He blinked, smiling softly as he snorted.
”I should honestly take a picture, this is fucking surreal.” He chuckled and you blushed.
”You can if you want to.” You spoke softly and he shook his head.
”I just want this mental image forever. I’ll never get the way you look right now out of my head.” He said, his voice quiet. You reached forward as rested your hand on his forearm, giving it a reassuring, gentle squeeze.
”I’m right here, Noah. This is real, it’s ok.” You smiled and with his free hand, you watched him wipe away a tear that had escaped from his eye.
”I know angel,” He muttered, settling himself between your thighs, laying on his stomach and propping himself up on his elbows. “Fuck, you have the prettiest pussy and it’s all fucking mine.” He whispered, kissing from your knees, down your inner thighs, all the way up to your pussy, where he slowly closed his eyes and his tongue barely grazed over your clit.
You gasped softly, your hands squeezing the sheets as he slowly enveloped your pussy with his mouth, his head nuzzling the insides of your thighs as he grabbed onto them, his fingertips gently squeezing. You felt the occasional brush of his thumbs on your skin as he lapped at you slowly. He truly was taking his time with you. You looked down at him, watching the tears slipping from his eyes as he occasionally glanced up at you from between your thighs. You reached down, wiping beneath his eye with your thumb and he pulled back.
”Don’t worry about me angel, I’m just…so, so fucking happy. You have no idea.” He chuckled before burying his face back into your pussy, his lips closing around your clit as he licked and suckled gently. You cried out, your head falling back as your eyes screwed shut. You sat up slightly, holding yourself up with one arm while your other hand rested on the top of Noah’s head, your fingers tangled in his hair gently as he ate your pussy.
It had been years since you’ve felt this, and Noah was eating you like a starved man. Your body only knew Noah and craved Noah. You two had met when you were both fourteen, but you didn’t establish a relationship until you both were about sixteen. You were each other’s first love, first kiss, first time, first everything. Your body had missed Noah so much, you couldn’t even bring yourself to touch yourself without thinking of him and only him. You couldn’t bring yourself near the same release that he could.
Noah spread your folds and dipped his tongue in and out of your entrance, slurping up every drop of you that he could possibly get a taste of, the occasional hum vibrating from his throat. You looked down at Noah through pants and tugged gently at his hair.
”N-Noah, fuck, I’m not trying to rush you but PLEASE, I NEED to feel you inside of me. I-It’s been too long and I want you up here, with me, hold me, please,” You begged, tears welling up in your eyes as he pulled back, wiping his mouth and chin with the back of his hand.
”I told you, I don’t want you to rush.” He argued and you shook your head.
”I’m not rushing you, I just want you holding me, please,” You begged and he licked his lips.
”Fuck, I missed the way you taste, I can’t fucking get enough. I want to be between your thighs for hours baby.” He smirked and you shakily grabbed the neck of his tank top.
”Noah, shut up and come ON.” You snapped at him and his eyes went wide.
”Geez, ok, ok,” He huffed, sitting back and removing his tank top.
You admired his body as he undressed in front of you. Noah was so different now, but you were so in love with him. He was no longer the scrawny boy you’d loved all those years before. He was now the quite muscular man, his body covered in tattoos now. He was so beautiful, you were in awe of him once he was completely naked in front of you. You looked down, seeing his hard cock standing at attention for you. You instinctively reached forward and grabbed his cock gently, wrapping your hand around the base and giving it a few gentle strokes. Noah’s eyes fluttered closed as a sigh escaped his lips, his head falling back as you pumped him slowly.
”Fuck, baby girl, you still feel unbelievable,” He panted and you bit your lip.
”I bet it’ll feel better inside,” You smirked and his eyes opened, scanning your face before he pushed you down and climbed on top of you, hooking your legs around his waist. You felt the tip poking and prodding at your clit, a soft moan leaving your lips.
”I can’t promise I won’t cum fast,” He huffed out and you grinned.
”It’s ok, it’ll be ok,” You reassured him, caressing his face before you reached down between the two of you and grabbed ahold of him, guiding him to your sopping wet entrance. Just the feeling of his tip pressing in gently made you shiver, your mouth falling open as you felt the ridge of the head push inside. Noah stopped, his arms trembling slightly as he tried to hold himself up above you. His eyes closed and he let out a shaky breath.
”Oh my God, this feels way too fucking good,” He whispered and you used your legs to try and bring him in more.
Noah gently pushed himself in further, the slick from your entrance allowing for him to glide in, his eyes screwing shut as he hissed through his teeth, a full body shudder taking over him. You moaned out loudly as he pushed completely inside, his thick cock stretching you so deliciously. You began to pant as you lost the breath you were holding, your back arching up off the bed and your chests touching. Noah quickly slipped his arms around you, holding you as close to him as possible. He buried his face in your chest as he held you, rolling his hips forward slowly and gently in long, drawn out strokes. You whimpered with each thrust, tears streaming down your face from the overwhelming pleasure and emotion that pulsed through your body.
”I. Fucking. Love. You. Y/N.” Noah cried into your chest, soft sobs leaving him as he fucked you gently, his lips trailing kisses all over your breasts and between them. Your own sobs left you, the feeling of him inside of you sending you into a complete spiral. You couldn’t believe you were here, underneath Noah as he fucked you, his tears falling onto your skin as he made love to you. He wasn’t simply fucking you, he was making love to you in every sense of the phrase.
”I love you Noah, I love you, I love you,” You cried out as he picked up his pace a bit. He adjusted your legs a bit, hitting deeper when he began to shake.
”I-I’m going to cum, I’m sorry,” He gasped and you shook your head.
”N-No, hold out, please,” You begged, but it was too late, he shoved himself as deep inside as possible, a choked groan leaving him as his head dropped against your chest suddenly, his chest heaving.
”S-Sorry,” He whispered against your skin and you let out an exasperated laugh, shaking your head.
”Baby, it’s ok, I’m not mad,” You giggled and he huffed, propping himself up above you.
”I’m not done,” He grunted and you raised an eyebrow.
”What do you mean, you finished already,” You chuckled and he sighed.
”If you give me just a second, I’ll be good to go again,” He huffed and you bit your lip.
”Really?” You asked and he nodded.
”Baby, I haven’t got to fuck you in years. I’m not going to leave you hanging like that. Plus, you know I have to feel you cum on me, I wouldn’t miss that for the world.” He said, leaning in and pressing a soft kiss to your lips.
You closed your eyes, wrapping your arms around his neck and pulling him as close as possible, feeling as he began to slowly move his softening cock in and out of you. You could feel him slipping out from the extra wetness from his cum, but the more he went, you began to feel his cock harden again as he kissed you harder and deeper, your tongues grazing over each other. He pulled back and looked down at you, smiling.
”I could fuck you like this for the rest of my life without stopping if I could.” He chuckled and you bat your lashes at him.
”I’m not stopping you.” You grinned and he looked down, watching himself go in and out of you. He let out a low groan before he looked back up at you.
”Watch it with me baby, watch me fill your pussy,” He whispered to you, and you lifted your head, meeting his gaze between the two of you.
You could see his cock pull out of you, completely glazed in a layer of slick and cum. The wet sounds it made as it slid back inside of you were loud and pornographic, your mouth falling open as you watched him slowly pump in and out of you. Your head fell back onto the bed and he shook his head.
”I didn’t say you could look away,” He huffed and you closed your eyes, laughing.
”My neck is gonna break if I look any longer. I just want to feel. I just want to see you.” You said, reaching up and resting your hand on his cheek. “I never thought I would get to see your face again, let alone feel you inside of me again.” You said and he nuzzled his cheek against your hand.
”Well, I’m right here angel.” He said before he adjusted himself and grabbed your legs, draping them over your shoulders and put you into a mating press, driving himself all the way inside. “I know I want to take my time with you, but I know how you like it best.” He smirked and you bit your lip as he began to fuck into you hard and fast, your eyes shooting open and a gasp leaving you.
”Noah! Fuck, oh,” You moaned loudly and he moaned softly with you, his head resting against your shin that rested on his right shoulder.
”Say my fucking name angel, let me hear you,” He growled and your shaky hands grabbed onto his hips as he fucked you, your nails digging into his skin.
”Noah, baby,” You cried out and he drove into you deep and hard, just the way you liked.
”That’s right, I’m right here baby. Come on baby, let me feel you. Come on baby, come home to me,” He grunted out and you felt yourself tightening around him, chasing your orgasm quickly.
”Oh fuck, I-I’m going t-t-“
”My god, I can feel your pussy squeezing me, that’s it baby, cum for me. Come home to me baby, please, come home, come home,” His voice dropped to a whisper as you came around him, your nails sinking deep into his skin as your hips drove upwards, your back arching off the bed as your eyes screwed shut, a broken cry leaving you as you pulsated around him, Noah burying himself deep inside and letting his head drop against your chest as he came inside of you for the second time that night.
The both of you stayed like this, crying softly as you both recovered, Noah pulling out of you and pulling you into his chest as he rolled onto his side and held you close, the both of you fighting to catch your breath. Noah kissed you all over your sweaty face and your messy hair, his whole body trembling as he held you tightly against him.
”I missed you, so fucking much.” He whispered shakily and you buried your face in his chest, closing your eyes.
”I missed you too, Noah.” You sighed and he held you tightly.
”Y/N…” He spoke up and you didn’t answer him. “Y/N,” He spoke up again and you huffed out a breath.
”What?” You asked and he looked down at you.
”Y/N, baby, please…come home.” He begged and you opened your eyes before looking up at him. He looked into your eyes, a pleading looking on his face.
”Noah…I can’t. I came out here to say goodbye. I’m going to be gone in a few days.” You said and his bottom lip trembled.
”No, Y/N, don’t,” He said, his voice cracking. “I just got you back, please. You don’t understand. Everything I do, I do with you in mind. This house, it’s yours. You don’t get it. These past few years, every single day, I have begged and pleaded to God, asking for you to come back. I promised you a wedding and I promised you our children. I want to keep that promise. What’s out there that’s so special that you can’t give that up to be with me? To give that up and be happy? You can’t tell me that this is happiness. You can’t tell me that these years we’ve spent alone and hurting have done us any favors. Yeah, you inspired the songs that got us where we are for the most part, but you can’t lie to me, Y/N. You know there’s nothing out there that’s better for you than this.” He pleaded and you stared into his eyes.
”But…everything I worked for…my friends, my family, they’re all out there.” You said and he shook his head.
”You act like you can’t go see them literally anytime you want. You have friends and a family out here too. We can start our family if you stay. Fuck, I won’t stop until I put a baby in you tonight if that’s what it takes.” He huffed out a laugh and you rolled your eyes.
”It’s not that simple…Noah, I love you. I want to be with you. I want all the things with you that we talked about. I just…I don’t want to get in your way. Look at you, look at how far you’ve come. You did all this without me. If you had me here with a bunch of kids, you’d never be able to do the things you do now.” You said and he shook his head.
”Y/N, stop. I would give up my whole fucking life for you, don’t you get it? You can come out here and start over. Whatever it is that you want, you can have it all. Remember? I promised you, that once we made it…that’s all I needed to be able to give you what you want.” He said, releasing you and climbing out of the bed.
You watched as Noah walked over to his nightstand, digging through the top drawer with his back to you. You raised an eyebrow, wondering what he was doing before he turned around, his hands holding something that you couldn’t quite see due to the way he held it.
”The first thing I did when I finally got some money put away…was this. I knew that if you ever somehow made your way back to me, that I wouldn’t mess things up. I would never let you go again. I can’t let you go again. I can’t, I literally don’t think I could live with myself if you walk out of that door with no intentions of returning. I know that this isn’t how I envisioned this and I know we’re fuckin’ sweaty and gross right now but…” He chuckled, getting on his knees beside the bed. He lifted his arms and rested his hands on the bed beside you and you sat up slightly, looking down at his hands. “My god, I’m gonna pass out I think.” He chuckled, his hands visibly shaking.
”Noah…” You spoke up, almost certain you knew what was happening.
”I’ve never been more scared than I am right now. Well, that’s a lie. I was scared the night I told you I had to leave for LA because, well, the result that I got was the result I figured I was going to get and I was right. But…that’s beside the point. Anyway, just…” He paused, looking down and swallowing hard before he opened his hands, prying open the small velvet box.
You gasped, your hand slowly raising up to your mouth to cover it, your eyes filling with tears as you saw it. Inside the box was the most beautiful diamond ring you’d ever laid eyes on. It sparkled in the light from the lamp on the nightstand. You could’ve laughed at how hard Noah was shaking, his eyes staring at you, pleading, waiting for an answer before you closed your eyes, tears pushing out and running down your cheeks. You’d never cried so much in your life, but today was the day. You swore you’d run dry.
”Oh Noah,” You cried and he nervously chuckled.
”Marry me, Y/N,” He begged. “Please, angel, I’ll do anything if it means you’ll stay here and be with me again.” He said, his voice soft as he leaned forward. “Baby, please,” He begged, reaching out and grabbing onto your arm. You lunged forward and threw your arms around him, rolling off the bed and tackling him to the floor, the two of you rolling around in a messy pile of discarded clothes, the sheets that you were tangled up in and your bodies.
Noah laughed, wrapping his arms around you and holding you tightly against him, his whole body still nervously shaking. He kissed your forehead and closed his eyes, smiling.
”I don’t know what that means…” He trailed off and you forced out a laugh through the tears.
”It means yes, yes I will marry you, goofy.” You said and he let out a loud sigh of relief, his arms going tighter around you.
”Oh my god, angel,” He shakily exhaled, his eyes screwing shut as he held you. “A-Are you serious?” He asked and you laughed, nodding.
”As a heart attack.” You said before he pulled away, propping himself up on his elbow and pulling the ring out of the box. You held out your hand to him and watched as he slid the ring onto your finger. You held your hand up, admiring the ring on your finger as Noah brought your hand up to his lips, kissing your knuckles.
”My fucking angel,” He whispered against your fingers before kissing them again.
On the nightstand, Noah’s phone began to ring, breaking the moment. Noah crawled over to the nightstand and grabbed the phone, looking at it.
”It’s Folio, should we answer it?” He asked and you shrugged.
”I guess…we didn’t exactly tell him where we went.” You said and he grinned before answering the phone.
”Uh, hello,” Noah said and Folio scoffed on the other end.
”Hello? Are you for real?” Folio shouted and Noah gave you a look of ‘oh shit’.
”What do you mean?” Noah asked and you covered your mouth, trying to stifle a laugh.
”Um, other than you just fucking disappearing off the stage before the song’s even over and just leaving an entire venue of people hanging, uh, I don’t know, what do you think I mean?” Folio spat before he sighed. “I’m going to go out on a limb and assume you found her.”
”I did.” Noah said, the smile in his voice evident.
”And?” Folio asked.
”Everything is gonna be alright.” Noah said.
”Now that’s what I’m fuckin’ talking about! Did you take her home and fuck her brains out or-“
”Nick!” You shouted, covering your face in embarrassment and you heard him burst out laughing.
”Oh my God, I didn’t know you were listening, holy shit.” Folio laughed on the other end.
