Parsons X Teen Vogue
One of my assignments for the Parsons X Teen Vogue Fashion Certificate is to breakdown production cost of an accessory I created out of unconventional materials! My accessory is a detailed choker consisting of three elements: a crystal, key rings, and a black tie string. In order to create this item and sale at a reasonable price, whilst still making a profit, I went to Amazon to find cheap, bulk quantities of the resources I needed.

TOTAL PRODUCTION COST: $22.69 20% profit: $4.54 TOTAL COST + PRODUCTION: $27.23 ESTIMATED RETAIL PRICE: $32.00 Throughout this process, I have found that it is much more expensive to create an accessory than I previously thought. Also, if you keep production time down you can end up making more of a profit in the process. With the right materials and quality production, I feel confident my choker would be successful and profitable at a retail price of $32.
