You will find that Connect to Community program is a unique experience that hopefully will be a World Wide experience for all Seniors. It will open your mind to an entire new world that is advancing daily. It will soon be your favorite technology and the skills that you learn will help you to connect to others and end loneliness forever. A Social Network is a place online, where you regularly share with other people. You can share your thoughts of the day, new additions to the family, pictures from trips, graduations, your garden, and many other things of interest. You will explore three of the most popular social networks which are: Facebook, Pinterest, and Twitter. Have fun on them all!

I'd like a to give a Great Big Thank You to the AARP Foundation, OATS, and Family Matters for piloting the Connect to Community Program! This program has opened up so much for so many people and has enhanced the lives of people experiencing disabilities, depression, and loneliness. We learned many technical skills and had a professional atmosphere and knowledgable Instructors which we all are very grateful for as well as the experience. Many thanks from all of us!

This class will assist you in writing emails to friends and family, even businesses. You'll be able to keep track of your correspondence with a company that you are doing business with. You'll see just how easy it is to keep up with people in another city or country, with the easy of a few stokes on your computer and IPad.

I would have never imagined how much I miss everyone already! But I know that I can always reach out and touch each and everyone of you with our new technology, the IPad. Hope that all of you had a Good Weekend!

Down to the Wire! February 5, 2014 We are at our milestone now and our final class is tomorrow. I'm already missing everyone! We now have a tool that will keep us in touch, and I plan to use it to keep in touch with all. You have all brought something to my life that I will keep forever! I am so inspired by all the posts from Connecting to Community members from Washington DC Cohorts 1 and 2. I feel terrible I don’t find the time to blog more often!
