A light wasn't necessary ( he rarely traveled without one ) but he wasn't going to deny the generosity. A rarity to come by. As long as it meant getting a small fix of nicotine to tide him over. Neil hummed with a thin smile that left as quickly as it came. "How hospitable."

Statement, as mocking as it sounded from his lips, held it's truth. Nobody here was giving favors without compensation. Nobody was looking out for anyone but themselves. They were all disposable in the end, pawns. Nothing more, nothing less. Someone who wouldn't be missed if anything were to happen. A wonder just how many were in a position similar to himself... and who was here on their own volition.

Neil took the pack from the other with a short nod, softly speaking his gratefulness, "Gracias." He freed a cigarette easily out of the carton and steadied it between his lips. He's half a mind to let his greed snag one more for the road. Urge was resisted and the thin cardboard pack was closed again before it was held back out. The soldier gave a moment's pause at the other's words. "... something like that. They keep me busy." A beat passed, "Can I still get that light?"
