Eso's Steampunk Finds: Boots

[ Heavily inspired by @thesimline's fantastic cc finds posts. Much credit to her! ]

I've concluded it might be fun to round up and share my hoard of steampunk CC with you all, since I get a lot of WCIFs for the stuff I use in my Steam & Spells posts. I figured I would start at the bottom with shoes, and first my favorite type of shoes - boots!

My favorite part of steampunk CAS is just how much flexibility there is - there's infinite room to combine items from different eras and styles, and it's just a lot of fun to find interesting uses for unexpected items. Therefore this list is nowhere near historically accurate - it's steampunk, not pure Victorian. But I think it's more fun that way!

I think most of the flat boots in the first section could also work for male sims, but I added a separate little list of M-frame specific boots so the boys don't feel totally left out.

Eso's Steampunk Finds: Tights & Socks

A deeply slept-on category of accessory, in my opinion. There is so much room for personal expression stored in the humble pair of socks... No child/toddler category this time because I honestly only ever use my personal age conversions of these, so there wasn't much need to do a separate category. (Highly recommend by the way! It's not always perfect but it takes about thirty seconds to do it the lazy way.) Anyway. Socks! Yay! Now we can move on to other parts of the body.

He pensado en lo aburridas que son las relaciones humanas. A veces siento que debería ser una rata o una mamada parecida, así no tendría que ponerme existencial. No sé si hay algo mal en mí, pero mantener amistades me aburre (y un chingo). Me alejo y me quedo sola, y no sé si lo hago por gusto o por costumbre. La idea de tener pareja me gusta, pero no quiero. Supongo que tengo más inteligencia emocional que muchos por aceptar eso, por saber que no estoy dispuesta a estar pendiente de alguien 24/7. A menos que esa persona sea igual que yo, que también quiera estar sola

Y digo, me divierto con mis amigos, pero tengo momentos donde me la paso disociada o enojada. Me acuerdo de lo malo, me cierro y no salgo de ahí hasta que se me da la gana. Me gusta estar sola, hacer mis cosas. Siento que vivo en mi cabeza, y solo ahí vivo, porque al final nadie va a ser como yo. Nadie entiende la incomodidad de pensar que tengo que tener amigos, conocidos, o relaciones solo para poder avanzar en la vida

Odio las pláticas aburridas. Odio a la gente tan expresiva que se siente falsa. Y tal vez solo yo lo sienta así, pero no puedo evitarlo. Odio a la gente positiva, los que quieren ver todo bien, los que se emocionan por cualquier cosa. Odio la gente que jura pensar o sentir lo mismo que tu. Me parece gente tan insoportable

La gente que te ve triste y te quiere hacer feliz de a huevo… la ptm, qué insoportables son. Déjame estar triste, w. Si te digo que no quiero que me hablen, es porque no quiero. Y en vez de ponerme feliz, solo me enojo

Antes tenía complejo de salvadora. Intentaba ayudar, pero al final solo se salvaban ellos. Por eso odio que me usen de psicóloga. Ya no me salen las palabras. Los headcanons trans !!

Hola ya vine a chingar

Nadie me lo pidió pero vengo a hablar de la mamadota de hacer todos los personajes sean trans así nomas, no es representación. Y mucho menos cuando la razón detrás de eso no es visibilizar ni normalizar, sino usar identidades reales como fetiches disfrazados de inclusividad (o sea el típico meme estupido de pussy boy)

Y podrás decirme “pero es ficción pendeja, ya cállese” pero cuando estás perpetuando la idea de que los hombres trans existen únicamente para cumplir fetiches de “sexo gay de hombres con vagina”. Es asqueroso. Es deshumanizante. Y es justo lo que sigue haciendo que mucha gente no se tome en serio la existencia trans

Esto pasa muchísimo en fandoms chicos también. Por ejemplo, el de Insidious. Specs y Tucker son dos geeks adultos, personajes de alivio cómico, que se dedican a lo paranormal. No son personajes súper profundos, ni tienen trauma oculto, ni necesitan un arco de redención. Son simplemente dos putos con química amistosa y con un gusto en lo paranormal

Pero no, para algunos fandoms eso no es suficiente. Tienen que convertirlos en mierdas fetichizadas: Specs el hombre trans sumiso, torpe y “twink”; Tucker el dominante, “oso”, obeso de mierd, trans y gay, pero igual sexualizado

Esa mamada les quita humanidad para reducirlos a un molde. Aparte, qué chiste tiene forzar una dinámica de dominante/sumiso en dos tipos que literalmente representan la parte más humana del universo Insidious

Lo mismo pasa con otros fandoms. En Danganronpa, donde a Byakuya Togami lo hacen trans cuando canónicamente lo único que hay es que se traviste. Y no, travestismo ≠ transgénero. No es lo mismo. No todo personaje que usa ropa del otro género automáticamente es una representación trans

El problema no es hacer headcanons (eso está bien, yo tengo un chingo de headcanons así) el problema es que muchos lo hacen desde el morbo. Desde el deseo de sexualizar, no desde el deseo de comprender o representar. Y eso es lo que jode, pq no solo invisibiliza, sino que refuerza los mismos estereotipos que ponen en peligro a la comunidad trans real

Pq sí, mientras tú haces tu fanfic de “guy with a pussy having gay sex”, en más de 70 países ser trans sigue siendo ilegal, y en 11 te pueden matar por eso
