I think it's really interesting that this year so far big film franchises haven't been as dominant at the box office. Only 6 of the top 10 grossing films are in franchises this year, down from 8 films last year. Maybe some of that is a fluke from indie megahits like obsession, but I just generally hope that we're gonna start getting more mid-budget funding for ambitious and creative projects from the big studios.
COME ON ARSENAL
really becoming a tea truther. love the fact that you can just boil random shit and drink it. Will have to look into this further.

just learned there's a genre called "slowcore". SLOW MUSIC ISNT A GENRE.
also listened to the new mountain goats album. It was ok. they all seem to be enjoying themselves! Liked across this fire and jenny from thebes better as far as this "orchestral indie" trilogy has gone. Definitely still prefer the later concept albums (goths my beloved) and especially the earlier tapedeck stuff, but this was worth the ~40 min.
WANNACRY IS SO FUCKING PEAK WE NEED A COLLAB ALBUM
just had this really awesome emergent thing happen in minecraft! I got lost in the nether and couldn't find my mine network. I was low on food and wandering around, when I found a ruined nether portal. It was near a fortress, so I used the last of my blocks to tunnel up and dodged around mobs until I found a blaze spawner. I then mined obsidian from the ruined portal and constructed a new portal in front of the spawner. The blaze fireballs ignited the portal and I was able to get back through to the infinitely more navigable overworld! just thought that was really cool
my favorite genre of article is one writing about ai writing that uses hallmarks of ai writing (this comes up surprisingly often)

I really like how the most cake sounding song on podium is right after hostile street, where the chorus has the line "I'll give you cake if you want it"
