So I'd really love to blame it on the apocalypse, but seeing as that fell through there is no one to blame but myself for the fact that I just can't stick to deadlines any more, of any kind, and I should stop setting them.

I wanted to check in to say writing is being done, but is not yet finished, though my hope is still to get something up over the holidays. Family is keeping me tied up for the next few days, so an update will be out as soon as I get some time to finish and edit, but might not happen by that Christmas deadline I set a few weeks ago.  I'd hate to think a dedicated few of you might spend the day looking for one to pop up while I was eating too many cookies and singing along with Hermey about wishing I could quit my job and do what I really love. Sorry folks that I don't have a better excuse to offer than that, but I hope you all have a wonderful holiday, however you celebrate, and if you don't celebrate at all I wish you a wonderful plain ol' day everyday!  xoxo

Hello everyone :)  I know I have been gone for forever, and truth be told I am probably not going to be on Tumblr much for awhile still - I've posted about the whys before so I won't bore you with that here again.  What I mostly wanted to do was finally take a minute to check in and say hi, that I'm not dead or missing or gone for good, and that I am finally FINALLY having a chance to write again. That being said, the truth of the matter is that things are not going to be getting any slower in RL so my beta and I have done some redrafting and planning in order to come up with a way to actually get this story finished at some point. Basic plan is this - instead of 20 odd chapters for the next half, I am going to do it in 5 final LONG updates, with a shorter epilogue/coda to the whole thing at the end.  My hope is to post one part every six weeks until it is complete, with the next update coming out before Christmas.  If any of you are still reading/waiting I want to thank you so much for all your patience and support.  I have so many wonderful messages in my inbox, and while I won't have time to respond to them all I hope you know that they and you mean so much to me.  I miss you guys, and to those of you I haven't talked with in months now I have been thinking of you often! I'm so sorry I checked out, it was kinda necessary for survival for a while there. I will be around - maybe not often, at least for a bit - so thank you in advance for your patience with my sub-par communication skills <3
