"An old professor of mine had this great thing. He said "On the level of individuals and civilization, personality predates ideology." Meaning that before you were a fascist, you were a bully and an asshole." -Brennan Lee Mulligan in conversation with Amy Vorpahl, Adventuring Academy S1E2
Have we become so fearful, have we become so cowardly – That we must extinguish a man because he carries the blood of a current enemy?

So like Communism didn’t kill anybody.
I think it’s important to point this out to the people who don’t know and keep saying Communism is so bad. NOBODY DIED FROM COMMUNISM. People in Russia died because their leaders (Stalin, etc) used the power of the state to target and control them. That’s it. The mass starvation, all of it, 100% due to evil men seizing power. Â
Communism is only an idealistic, Utopian fantasy that will never be achieved by the human race because it’s far too stupid, too stubborn, and most of all, too motherfuckin’ selfish as a whole. Until people truly begin to be content with having enough to be comfortable, happy and not hoarding wealth and resources; until people truly DO give a shit about others and not just their own personal circles and until they can live without the lust for finding someone else to shit on that’s different than them in some way and the lust for war, murder and power over their fellow people, then true communism is just a false promise that tyrants and dictators use to fool the masses into thinking that they’re going to be well taken care of by said rich, powerful hoarders who crave that power over a nation.
There’s no economic philosophy that doesn’t start as Utopian and idealistic. The rest of what I said, though, is true: it’s not the philosophy that dooms it but some of the people who use it toward their own selfish ends. Nobody died from being a Communist.  Millions of people starved to death because Stalin decided that would happen. That people are selfish and determined to get their own way will never change. Somebody created the idea of communism, though, and millions of people around the world embraced the idea and wanted to live in that world. Those weren’t selfish people.  Â

This is Greta Thunberg. She is an activist for comprehensive climate change policies and action. She is a nominee for the Nobel Peace Prize. She’s 16. She’s remarkable.
Yes indeed!
