Random Berlioz Trivia
According to Berlioz's friend Schloesser, Berlioz's habit was to 'frequently bury his fingers' in his 'shock of hair'. To be fair it's not surprising at all, considering how fluffy his hair is.
Random Mendelssohn Trivia
Mendelssohn had a friend who collected autographs of famous people and he always sent autographs he had somehow got to his friend. But in 1836, after 14 letters, he asked that friend if he would be so kind to send him an autograph or two by Beethoven or Mozart for the first time in their entire exchange history. Can you guess why?
Of course, he wanted to give them to his Bride-to-be as a Christmas gift. Aww, what a sweet couple.
UGH give me Berlix or give me death
Imagine young Berlioz braiding young Mendelssohn's hair
Imagine Berlioz's ass being kicked by an angry Mendelssohn who is furious over Berlioz messing up his neat home
Imagine Berlioz falling in love with Mendelssohn at first sight and chasing him for months with a huge bouquet of roses and Shakespearean sonnets in his hand
Announcement?
Um hello guys. I've been writing Classical musician RPF fanfictions since 2019 but only felt courageous enough to post them on AO3 only recently. I've posted two of my most well-loved series (in Korea) on AO3, and I'd love it if you'd take a look at it. Translating them took too much energy and I just posted them in Korean, but maybe google translator would do justice to my work? They're mostly unhinged and chaotic works but hey at least it's something.
Yeah, so basically I'm promoting my own works. Thank you.

It's been five years (sep 2020-now) since I've fell in love with Berlix... I can't believe it

Finished my fic with 180,000 thousand characters after two and a half years I started it
Better than fan fiction: Franz being Franz again, Chopin has to listen to "I can't control my libido" over and over again, while Marie D'Agoult is jealous of...Chopin.
And Berlioz sits next to Franz and cries, while he was writing this letter...
I'm beginning to realise why all of this has become too much for you, @chopinski-official , really. 🙈
Yes, it was… really quite overwhelming. I am trustworthy, but at what cost… My sanity?
An English translation, if it’s desired, is below. It’s from the original French as my German is questionable at best.
Liszt to Mme d’Agoult.
It seems to me, Madame, that the other evening you asked me to show you around and introduce our famous compatriot Heine. He's one of the most distinguished men in Germany, and if I weren't afraid of doing him a disservice by the comparison, I'd gladly use the famous adverb ‘extremely’ three times over. Based on this preamble, will you allow me to bring him with me in 8 days on Tuesday?…
As for my friend Chopin (don't you ever get angry at that name?) I’ve barely yet had chance to pass on your gracious message to him, but tomorrow (most certainly) I shall go to rouse him softly and sweetly with your entreatments and invitations.
I’ll also be sure to speak to him again about Mme. de Rauzan, for whom I am decidedly consumed with a mad and desperate ardour. I ask you on both my knees to keep my secret. Chopin is the only one to whom I dare to speak openly, because some Marquis or Chevalier on Silly Street is a little jealous of me.
Poor Berlioz!… how I see myself in his soul sometimes. He's here, next to me. Just now he was crying, sobbing in my arms… and I have the audacity to continue writing to you!…
Why has the day been given to the miserable ones and the light to those who carry sorrow in their hearts?
Pain, always pain…
Don't count on me for tomorrow evening, I'm too unhappy, too on-edge, to put up with the company of some friends, and I think Schubert and Ch. will come.

For magic improvements on thing that is already perfect:
Use one spoon white sugar, and one spoon brown if you have it.
After microwave, before noms, add vanilla ice cream.
\o/
salt is a flavour enhancer, add just a tiny dash, not enough to make it salty.
Because I love you all.
reblogging cause i need to save this
A note for those who have trouble measuring butter with a spoon as I do: one cup I am sixteen tablespoons. Butter/margarine bricks are usually a half a cup, so just cut one eighth of that amount
These are really good! And yes, for the love of god, if you have it use white sugar and brown sugar, add just a pinch of salt, and as many chocolate chips as you darn well please. Great with icecream, whipped cream on top, or a tall glass of milk (keep in mind you gotta eat it with a spoon, you can’t dip it in milk)
Super college friendly (trust me)
I made this and it’s super awesome! Bonus things you could add: butterscotch flavoring, cut up KitKats, torn apart Milkyways, and stolen ice cream!
Ohhhh boy kiddos have at it!
Reblogging so I remember to do this
Just made this but am out of chocolate chips so used hot chocolate powder a splash of milk and marshmallows. HEAVANLY
Reblog to save a life

Random Berlioz Trivia
Berlioz liked tea a lot. According to his Correspondences, Berlioz once mentioned to his sister that he had a certain fondness for the drink and held her in high regards for having good taste in tea.
@wrongnote-lc 's challenge
Draw your favorite composer's favorite portrait by memory!
Theodore Hildebrandt's 1834 Mendelssohn portrait, drawn by memory! (I wish I had paid more attention to the detail of lapels and stock!)

Yearly Mendelssohn Trivia at this point
Did I tell you Felix's favorite color was (very likely) green? Although I wasn't able to find any solid hard evidence, it seems that Mendelssohn researchers have reached a consensus based on the fact that a lot of his books were binded in green leather, which was also an iconic binding of the Mendelssohn Family.
