Dear friends of Hysteria! We are delighted to announce that our new album “Man hätte sich mehr erhofft” will be released on all streaming platforms on 26 June... and, of course, also on 26 June at 8 pm: the video premiere of “Hallo Deutschlandfunk” in which we showcase all our talents so that we can finally be heard by Deutschlandfunk. And the Liszt Society. And the Klassikstiftung Weimar.
In fact, we’ve really pulled out all the stops: Stockhausen, Adorno, maccheroni images, stop-motion, sword-swallowing, Al-Franz Liszt, an Ikkimel/Schiller comparison… at last, our studies have paid off. Thanks to eygennutzverlag!
Haters gonna hate, @franzliszt-official ;) (I’m not going to go on explaining here that these AI scenes will make up a full minute of the entire self-made music video. There’s also stop-motion with Barbie dolls and shadow theatre, so don’t start crying ;))

I’d love to invite everyone to ask me this question, if it was meant for us. But only if you don’t ask it anonymously and are genuinely interested in a long answer. ;) Well, you could ask anonymously, but let's keep it real.
The short version – to start with – is as follows: I am a musician who has been active in the music industry and the poetry slam scene for more than 20 years; I have a classical background, am signed to record labels with three of my other bands, and am no longer interested in discussing my own songs with any male bandmates or producers. I no longer wish to work as a ghostwriter or singer for anyone and not even be mentioned in the booklet. Let’s not even get started on payment. Otherwise, I’m what you’d call an invisible studio singer. If you are smart, look into the credits for my songs, find my name and see how many mentions on discogs and so on you will find. Maybe 3 or 4. In over 20 years.
I use AI as a tool to produce my own self-written songs, just for the sheer joy of it and so I don’t have to fork out 600 euros to someone who then does the mastering themselves using AI. The music I make is a mix of my own songs, written in note books, sometimes on guitar, uku, piano, Vochlea Dubbler, AI and DAW. And tears. I’m open about it, I don’t infringe on other people’s rights (we could also have a chat about the ethical justification for using samples), and I’m absolutely fed up with discussing it. But you’re more than welcome to do so anyway. Word! I will be honest, I swear.
I’d also like to invite everyone to a music weekend with absolutely no computers involved, where we lock ourselves away and write an amazing album together. Strangely enough, no one has accepted my invitation on social media so far.

Lisztober25: #12 Chasse neige or There is no proper life in a wrong one
Well, we have finally reached it: The end of Lisztober 2025. And just like last year, there's tumbleweed (or should we say Tumblrweed!) all around us. Are we truly the only ones who saw the entire challenge through to the end again? What's up, fellow Lisztians?
So, we conclude our little musical project today with the terrifying realization that the birth of the new Messiah of Music has caused a shift in the space-time continuum, allowing Yog-Sothoth-Franz Liszt-the dark matter and intersection of all Liszts across every quantum continuum- to engulf the Liszt3000. At this point, only Arnold Schönberg and Adorno from the future can help. (Do I believe that nobody has been able to follow me for a long time? Probably. But it's still fun.)
Compared to last year, this was arguably the most chill Lisztober we've had here so far. Only 12 songs, instead of last year's 31; the musical framework was also predetermined. And yet, there's always a certain melancholy at the end. At least here; the rest of the Maidchen- Listeners and Lacelove are probably thrilled they won't be spammed with Franz in a while. ;)
Last year, on November 1st, I immediately had a small nervous breakdown from pure relief, but at least I did it in style at Franz's grave in Bayreuth. And before that, already on the highway. That probably won't happen this year. Well, hopefully.
Both Lisztobers (and the Weihnachtsbaum- Challenge in December) have, in total, resulted in 57 songs about Franz Liszt (not counting the ones already on our albums). We've successfully completed 3 music videos (the fourth is underway) and released the album OnlyFranz this month. Our thanks go first and foremost—and as always—to @franzliszt-official, our record label Eygennutz- and to all supporters, listeners, and everyone who joined us on this ride again.

In which Liszt3000 reveals to me that in 20 minutes, rather than 9 months, I will give birth to his transcendental child and the new Etüdenstein, who is simply the new Messiah of the music world: Ernestiranz Agnes Cembalola.
And for those who are now wondering whether you get nuts in Lisztober: yes. But it's still pretty cool ;)

The 10th quest. We are slowly approaching the end, dear friends. Two more songs, then this Lisztober will be over. And just like last year, we are looking forward to the end with mixed feelings. @franzliszt-official

This one was really difficult, dear friends. At the beginning of this challenge, I thought Feux Follets could be my final opponent – far from it. It turned out to be ‘Allegro agitato molto’ (aka Appassionata). At one point, I was about to just rap again, but then I had the saving idea of returning to my roots – long, long before Elektrische Maidchen, I used to make gothic cabaret music... and in the end, that saved my butt for this song. As a tribute to Rasputina, the Dresden Dolls and Emilie Autumn, today's number is also pretty over the top, it absolutely had to have a cello in it... And yet it's still a bit funny... at least I hope so.

And what better way to celebrate this day than with a steamy song? There are two things that really turn me on: Franz Liszt and... archival work. Combine the two: boom.
Lying on a leopard skin in front of the fireplace in a wooden cabin and combing through the Liszt collection in the Anna Amalia Library? Or chatting with an employee of the Bibliothèque nationale de France while sipping my red wine, asking him or her to find the new location of a Liszt notebook from 1833 that was last catalogued in 1987?…. Soooo hot. GOD!

Lisztober25: #9: Ricordanza
The ninth song, the ninth étude stone. Unfortunately, it's Thalberg's thumb. So @franzliszt-official, @chopinski-official and I have to go back to Belgiojoso's salon and repeat the famous duel. Which is a little more heated than last time. And a cat explodes too.
You should never write songs when you have a fever. I did. The whole thing has become very unwieldy by our standards, but that's because I completely shredded Franz Ricordanza this time and perhaps took away some of the piece's original character. You'll all have to get through it now. And of course it had to be about Thalberg's thumb, because Franz was accused of brazenly stealing Siggi's thumb melody in this étude. ;)
Lisztober25: #8 Wilde Jagd
Metal, guys! We need some metal today to accomplish this epic battle between Albatross Wagner, Liszt3000, Fryderyk of Rivia and yours truly: Me.
And to do so, Wagner not only calls the Wild Hunt into battle, but also the entire crème de la crème of the Germanic pantheon to rob @franzliszt-official of his étude stones. Incidentally, @chopinski-official is fast becoming my favourite character in this saga xD
And because the whole thing is supposed to be part of a book project, that thing is 13 minutes long again. And again in English, because the words are shorter and just more epic and stuff.
And anyone who thinks this dramatic battle is the end of Liszt's reign is sorely mistaken!

Dear friends of cultivated hysteria,
Today we are pleased to announce that our new album ‘OnlyFranz – 31 Intimitäten mit Franz Liszt’ has been released and is available wherever streaming is available (Spotify, Amazon Music, Deezer, Apple Music...the list is long and beautiful). All 31 songs were released here on Tumblr during last year's Lisztober, and our thanks go first and foremost to @franzliszt-official, without whom this challenge would not have been possible.
