No it’s okay, I’ll tell you. They were great, honestly. They were both really hard working, my mom was stubborn as hell, I guess that’s where I get it from. My dad was pretty strict, but… it was because he cared. They were pretty much exact opposites but somehow they worked perfectly together.

I don’t think I can either. Actually, I did leave for a little while… but, I came back because not being here just didn’t feel right. I belong here. Just as you and Griffin and all the others do.

Life isn’t a movie Cady, it’s a very rawr, real, and painful thing that we have to endure until one day it just stops.

Speed Adventure || Cady and OPEN

She had never been snowmobiling.  Of course, before this week, she had never been skiing or snowboarding or sledding.  But she had thoroughly enjoyed doing each of those things so far this week, and one glance at the snowmobiles told her she would enjoy that at least as much, if not more.  Cady supposed this might surprise some people.  After all, she was quiet and unassuming.  And sometimes even overcautious and nervous.  But she was only overcautious around other people.  And these days, boredom tended to be her worst enemy.  She liked adventure.  Snowmobiling sure looked like adventure, so after getting ready in the morning, she had wasted no time in making her way outside and towards the snowmobiles, not caring if anyone else was even taking part.

She groaned when she saw that there had to be safety instruction first, but stayed and listened politely, because Cady knew better than to not.  Besides, she'd still be able to do it after.  Except then the instructor said she needed a partner, and wouldn't be able to go alone.  She sighed.  She had gotten up quite early.  But surely someone else from the Wasteland would want to go with her.  She just hoped someone would get here soon.  In the meantime, she examined the available snowmobiles, zeroing on the child-size bikes the instructor had pointed her too, and sighing again.  They were tiny.  And meant for kids under twelve or so.  Except she was about the height of a twelve year old.  Her kingdom for forever hating the Hendersons for screwing over her body's growing ability.  Whatever.  She looked through the available bikes and settled on a bright blue one, though not before noticing an awesome looking black snowmobile, made for people over twelve, but still, it looked awesome.  But the instructor was looking, so for now, she settled against the smaller blue one to wait for someone else to arrive.

Well I think they’re the same difference right now. When I pictured France I pictured girls in crop tops all over with their french skirts and french bread. I thought the Alps, well were in some place like Siberia.

Oh.  Nope.  Honestly I don't think anyone could spend that long outside in Siberia.  They'd probably freeze to death first.

Not really, but then I like to view the world as if you’re in love it’s beautiful and other people being in love is beautiful too.

Huh.  Guess I've never seen it before.  I just kinda assumed.  At least, that's how it is in movies.

It was a lot of fun. One of the best memories I have of my parents actually.

To me, no. Nothing could ever be as good. I mean, there are a ton of rides and all that but… the Wasteland is home. Nothing can beat that.

What were they like?  Your parents?  You um, you don't have to tell me, if you don't want.

It's the same for me.  And I know it would be even if I saw other places.  I don't know if I could ever leave the Wasteland.

I went on vacation once with my parents when I was a kid. WE saved up for a really long time to do it, we went to Disney Land in California. No problem.
