Due to unforeseen circumstances, the reopening of Caelum has been pushed back to later in the year. A family emergency requires my full attention and I don't have time to spare to restart a roleplay. I'm terribly sorry for the inconvenience this has caused and thank you so much for the time potential members has spent in creating their characters as well as for their interest. Hi! I love the concept here but have too many character ideas to narrow down ;u; Anything specific you guys would love to see character-wise?

Well, I do have some skeletons written here if you’d like to a look at some of the few character ideas I’d love to see! But here are some more ideas: a first year who’s struggling to get a grip on their abilities ( may even cause some minor accidents ) ; an advanced or expert level who seems to have everything perfectly under control, but doesn’t actually ; a younger teacher who may just be starting out and is pretty nervous ; a Zodiac who desn’t actually care for the school or their abilities ; a student with a parent in the faculty ; a student who doesn’t like their element and instead wants to learn about another, so they sneak in / watch another element’s class. Hopefully something here sparks something, and of course, if you decide to stay long here you can always make yourself another character to fulfill all the ideas you have!

Do the sport teams play against others or is it like a whole in-school competition?

Both! Some sports have each of the different elements competing against each other while others may find themselves competing against another school. These will come with further details ( especially as to which sport does what ) when the time comes for an event!

Not really, though it is suggested! You can write as long ( or as short ) as you’d like, just make sure to meet the minimum.

Hmm, that's curious. I do have ads running every other hour or so and they should be posting within the krp, kpop rp— and other miscellaneous tags. Maybe I should increase the amount of ads if they're too infrequent?

i know the locations are still under co. but is there a society for zodiacs to live in if they so please or do they all go back to the normal world with the humans afterwards?

This is both a yes and a no, I suppose! Many Zodiacs live peacefully among humans and tend to live together within the same communities— like a neighborhood suburb or apartment tower may be filled with only Zodiacs. Most choose to live 'normally' and generally know who's a Zodiac within the city and who's not. However, there is a society just for Zodiacs tucked away in several places around the world. Just like how Caelum Academy is hidden from sight ( and can only be accessed by Zodiacs ), the other schools and very small towns are also in a similar situation. Since the focus of the roleplay is on the Academy and not their society, this is still being expanded so take this information lightly for now!

Is there an exact order our classes should be (particularly for Elemental and mastery classes) or can we just stick them any place?

Just stick your classes in any order as it will be placed in a proper schedule for you!

What ages to people normally start to discover their powers

It tends to vary from person to person, but usually when they are young ( perhaps around 12 to 14? ), Zodiacs tend to find themselves drawn to the element they were born under. This is sometimes a cause for alarm, so parents usually let their kids know about their abilities and may even start teaching them how to control it.

During their younger years, they are unable to generate their element ( usually it's learned once they're older ), which is fortunate so no accidents happen. Most students entering Caelum Academy will already know they have abilities and should be able to manipulate their element to some extent depending on their mastery.

Do the parents as well have to have elemental powers or is it also possible to be born with the abilities suddenly. Does it skip generations as well like the grandparents had powers but one of the parents didn't have it , etc.?

Yes! All Zodiacs can only come from a parent who is also a Zodiac ( whether it’s only one parent or both ) and it doesn’t usually skip generations. However, the ‘potency’ or strength of an individual’s powers may vary. Some generations may not even choose to expand their ability’s applications and only work on their main ability. Others might not even like using them, but have them still. There are many possibilities and I’ll definitely revisit this later!

Is there a maximum of sports that a student can have?

Technically, no there isn’t a limit! But do consider the days and times these sports meet. Many of them collide with one another and if a student were to miss a lot days for a practice, they wouldn’t be allowed on the team anymore. Plus, consider how quickly your character may become fatigued with some many extra curricular activities! Just keep these in mind and add your character to as many sports as they can realistically handle!

are other pets that are in tanks allowed? Like turtles or snakes and such like this?

At the moment, all that’s listed on the house rules are fish, but maybe some variety would be more interesting. Let me work out a few things and I’ll get back to you on this! An announcement will be made if more animals are added and allowed.

I know you guys aren't implementing people with more than one ability, but i think it would be cool later on if you decide to-- that they could have really strong powers in one ability but still be able to do the basics powers of their other half of the cusp. I notice that a lot of the cusps seem to be a mix between the abilities that have weakness/cancels them out so it'd be cool to explore those as many ideas come through that.

It certainly is a possibility in the future! I want the characters to grow with the roleplay, so this is something I had considered for development. We’ll see what happens and what can work!

So another question is if thats the case if our muse is born on a cusp how do we choose which sign they are? do we simply choose which one depending on which ability we want or something else? I wanted to keep my characters original birthday but they are on a cusp so i'm unsure.

It depends on the date your character was born! For example, and Aries/Taurus cusp is April 19 & April 20. If you character was born on the 19th, they will be an Aries, making them bear the element of fire. If they were born on the 20th, they will be a Taurus and they will become attuned to the element of earth. This is how you’ll determine your character’s element & sign. 

Here are the rest of the cusp dates and to what element your character should fall under.

Taurus ( May 20 ) - Earth / Gemini ( May 21 ) - Air 

Gemini ( June 20 ) - Air / Cancer ( June 21 ) - Water

Leo ( August 22 ) - Fire / Virgo ( August 23 ) - Earth
