Art Cards and Soundtrack! Hello everyone! We've been working hard to finish the game and we are coming along nicely! We are still on track for a February release date! Today we want to show off some of the physical rewards that are ready to be sent off on the release date to all those who backed the physical tiers! We have some lovely, large double-sided art cards featuring the five girls in their magical outfits on one side, and a special friendship scene on the other! How lovely! We have also had the soundtrack made up on a beautiful physical disc! We hope you are excited to get your very own copies!

A Quick Progress Update

Hi all! We have been working really hard on the game this month! Here is just a quick update on the progress of the game: -Music: 100% Finished -Art: 90% Finished -Functions: 95% Finished -GUI: 100% Finished -Story written out: 70% Finished -Dating Scenes: 80% While this sounds like it's almost finished, the story and programming the characters into the game takes a bit of time. We also will be doing extensive play testing to make sure the final product runs smoothly. We are still looking at a release date in February next year! We will see you all in the next update!

A Closer Look At Some Features! Hello all! Today we are going to show you a few screenshots of some things you'll be able to do in your free time in the game! You'll be able to do a number of things when you're not pursuing your girl! These activities transform the game from a simple visual novel to a fully interactive dating sim. Be sure to take advantage of all the game's features, as they will make it easier to win your girl's heart! We've got activities such as: Using Hoshi and your magic to gain random effects! Buying and selling goods at multiple shops! Raising your attributes through various activities! Brewing potions to give you special effects! And so much more! We hope that you are excited not only to find love, but to explore the world and build your attributes! New Tracks! Battle Music! Progress Update! Hey everyone! Today we are showing off three new tracks! Here are some blood pumping tracks to get you ready for battle! We hope you enjoy the soundtrack so far, because there is lots more where this came from! Our programmer has implemented about 90% of the gameplay functions! This includes exploring the forest, gathering items, buying and selling, giving gifts, daily schedule, and an in game calendar. New Trailer! New Art! New Theme Song! New Steam Page! New! Good day magical girl fans!

Ready for a brand new game trailer? This is choc-full of unseen art and gameplay. Watch it here! We are very excited today to be able to show off all of the hard work we have been putting in behind the scenes. How To Date A Magical Girl! has entered a new phase of development - a phase we like to call version 2.0! The game is taking shape at a rapid pace, and we are finally ready to reveal all the changes we've made! We joined forces with a new artist several months ago, and she has been working day in and day out to bring our characters to life in illustrated event scenes. We also worked with a talented recording partner and produced a brand new, original opening theme song, complete with vocals! The culmination of our efforts has resulted in the brand new game trailer above. In addition... We have also received approval from Steam to distribute the game via the Steam platform! There's still lots of work to be done, but we are on top of it! We are aiming to launch the game on Valentine's Day - February 14, 2019 - a date we feel is very fitting due to the theme of the game! This is a little later than our initial December date, but we have drastically increased the amount of art and story scenes being added to the game. The wait will be worth it! We hope the new trailer quenches your thirst for now. We'll be back in a couple of weeks with further updates!

New art! New Logo! Hi everyone! We are excited to say that we've been secretly working with another artist for the game's cut scenes! These beautiful CGs are sure to dazzle you with their magical goodness! We also have redesigned the game's logo and dropped the sub title, we feel that this looks more polished than before and fits the game better. We are working hard to make the game look as beautiful as possible and bring you the best of the best!

Cameo Characters Revealed! Hey everyone! We have some cameo characters to reveal! Hope you're excited! Alright! Starting from left to right, top to bottom! Marceline Persim She'll be your information gal for the game! She may be a little snarky and sarcastic, but she's a good friend who will help you if you forget how the game works. Henri Steiner Your alchemy teacher! An extremely enthusiastic alchemist who has forsaken his own wellbeing in pursuit of the hidden secrets of alchemy! Don't let his eagerness scare you, he won't let his students get harmed... much... Jammy He's a happy, upbeat kind of guy who works at the local arcade. He has come to Japan from the UK to become a video game developer, but its a hard business to get into, so the next best thing is working at the arcade until he saves enough to reach his dream! Aetheron He's a well educated man and runs the school library. He has chosen this role to help educate the young magical girls as they are the future! However, in his spare time he chooses to study alchemy, so he may be found talking with your alchemy teacher! Izalene Arcain Your teacher of magical history! Originally from Brazil, she comes from a long line of prominent magical girls. She decided to become a magical teacher to make sure her students are prepared for the future by knowing their past! New and Improved Hoshi! Hello magical familiars! We noticed that our original Hoshi design wasn't cute enough for our game, so Hoshi has gone through his own transformation! We've given him a few facial expressions as well, because who doesn't like a well expressed familiar? Here's a little bit about our new favorite pup!

Hoshi is Hikari's familiar and he's very protective of her, but when it comes to any other girl he can be... well, a bit of a pervert! While Hikari loves her familiar, for some reason that'll you'll have to play the game to find out, he ends up living at your apartment. He will make sure to nudge you in the right direction when you are home, so take good care of Hoshi! In the next update we're going to show off the five cameo characters designed by five lucky backers!

Yui's Outfits!

Hello magical girls and boys!

Today's update is featuring Yui's outfits! Very exciting!

But wait.... Her magical outfit seems to be grayed out... Why? Well, Yui has asked that we not show her outfit off, that's why! She told us that she needs to trust you before she will let you see her in it! What a shame... I'm sure you don't have to go so far as to date her, maybe just be her friend and she'll trust you more!

We hope that you are excited, the game is moving along nicely! Next update we will show off the all new Hoshi! He's 110% cuter with 2% more attitude! (a whole 2%!)

In today's update we are going to show off our 'princess' Kaori's outfits!

You may have already seen her magical girl outfit on our Kickstarter page, but here you can see the full thing! So why is it she looks like a cat girl? Guess you'll have to find out in the game!

Rei’s Outfits!

Hello Everyone!  

Today we are going to give Rei her time in the spotlight by revealing her uniforms and casual outfits! Let's not forget a couple expressions to give her a bit of depth! Hope you guys and gals are ready for some tanned tomboy love!  

Her magical outfit has a bit of an idol/ rocker kind of vibe to it. She seems to have a strong tie to music of all kinds.

New character revealed - Shin!

Hello magical girl lovers!

Today we have a new character for you! His name is Shin!  

Shin has been your friend for a long time and knows you best. Although you won't be going to the same school together, he refuses to let your friendship fizzle and fade. Despite being a bit obnoxious and noisy at times, like most best friends, he is a really good guy and would do anything for you.  

While you are heading off to a prestige magical academy, Shin goes straight into working to save up for a place of his own. He dreams of becoming a punk rock clothes designer in the future, and hopes you will come with him to England one day so he can pursue his dreams.  

I hope you enjoy hanging out with Shin as much as we do!
