Blues
Iâve got the blues feeling the mile away hues
Dreading it deeply quietly sinking
Iâve got the blues filling my shoes
I sit and I stare here in my chair
Please
Wont you send me back my love

âI can feel him clawing at me to stay. Itâs a hard pressed attempt to convince me that I wonât be safe without him. His argument is convincing and provocative. However persuasive, itâs still not enough to keep saying yes to the madness of pretending this is sanity.â

the grief might kill you, unless you kill the grief
Time
no words left to speak
i think youâve taken enough of meÂ
i fell down slowly and you watched me fall
you smiled and then laughed with no remorse at all
i am feeling unsteady still no words left to speak
youâve worn me down and now i feel weak
in the night in disguise you came and stoleÂ
whatever was left of a dying soul.
Music 2 THRFT To:
Artist: Billie HolidayÂ
Track: Solitude (1941)
This song was originally composed by Duke Ellington and written by Eddie Delange & Irving Mills in 1934. It quickly became a classic jazz staple then was later covered by Ella Fitzgerald and Nina Simone respectively, but in our opinion âLady Dayâ recorded the most iconic version.Â
I love this song and I adore Billie holiday. I live, eat and sleep this woman. Iâve heard every version of this song but Etta James in 1947 is still my favorite version, till this day I still canât find it anywhere other than YouTube. Sheesh
