Do you know what kind of triumph the guy with the bell custom 500 helmet and the red vans has?? I love it so much

Don't hold me too it but I'm pretty sure it's a 70s bonneville. Not too read up on old triumphs but I don't know if they made anything else back then haha. Tank says it's a bonnie to me. Heavily customized though.

Any ideas expense wise and where to start?

Get something simple and inexpensive. Ride the piss out of it and start to make improvements when you realize what you don't like. True cafes were built with performance and function over style. I'm a Honda fan cause they're bullet proof and rad but any jap bike will be ok.

What's a good motorcycle for beginners?

Hey man, anything 400cc or under. If you're looking for a cafe look at at old Hondas. CB, CM. if you wanna do you're own work look for a thumper (single cylinder) or a twin. The options are endless and not an easy question to answer.
