“Then why are you all Mr. Grumpy McBeardface today?”
“I’m always grumpy, you know that.”
samantha-pierce:
“That, I can help with.”
“It’s fine, I’ve got it. It’s not that difficult.”
ezragillies:
“I’ll be fine, man, thanks,” Ezra commented, a little grin on his face. One of the perks of telekinesis was you very rarely got caught by things like that. “I heard there were junked cars back here. Can I borrow one? Oh, well, not really borrow one, cause I wouldn’t take it anywhere.”
“So says everyone in this town.” Caiden muttered with a shrug. “No, I don’t have junkers at this place. You heard about the other shop in town. Silas runs it.”
lorelei-holt:
“Guess its a good thing i’m a doctor, then? Besides, Lawyers aren’t very reliable anyway,” Lorelei spoke with a light smirk. “Any particular reason you’re hauling around tires?”
“Because the delivery guys put them in the opposite corner of the yard that I asked them to.” Caiden responded. “And lawyers are bigger bloodsuckers than me.”
fighting-ellahalder:
“What’s got your panties in a wad, Mr. Grumpyface?”
“My panties are decidedly straight, thanks for asking.”
samantha-pierce:
“Aw, what, you mean you’re not asking me to play a game of catch with a tire as some weird vampire bonding ritual?”
“No, I’m playing a game of stack the tires correctly because the delivery guys can’t manage it.”
samantha-pierce:
“I’m not the suing type. Anyway, now I could catch one of those no sweat.”
“And if I wanted you to catch it, I’d ask you to.”
elenagreyson:
“Hmm… Death by tire; that’s a new one I’ll have to try. I doubt it’d work though - but come on. Humour me. Throw it.”
“Or you could just move three feet to the right.”
fighting-ellahalder:
“I’ll totally sue your ass off if you do, that’s me.”
“Fine, move before I hit you with one and your werewolf consort comes and rips my throat out.”
“Better watch out. I don’t want a lawsuit if I hit you with one of these.”

“Oh come on,” the brunette couldn’t stop the exasperated sigh that escaped her lips as she looked at the spilled coffee on her shirt and the ground. Today just hadn’t been her day. Her alarm went off late, her car decided today would be the day that it would stop working, and now the coffee she waited thirty minutes for was sitting on the ground in a puddle. She turned on her heel to head back to the coffee shop and ran straight into a person, “oh god! I’m so, so sorry.”
Caiden wasn’t a huge fan of coffee, but he did like it occasionally. The caffeine didn’t give him energy, but the taste was good, so he generally made his way to the coffee shop in town at least once a day. It also at least made him feel like he’d somewhat interacted with other people, which meant he could go back to his hermit house. He had to step back when someone almost ran into him though, lifting his coffee in the air so it didn’t get spilled like hers had. “Watch it.” The words came out ruder than he meant them, but he didn’t take them back, just looked from her to the puddle of coffee on the ground. “I’d rather not get my coffee spilled.”
ivyxxglass:
“I’m sorry…I’m not trying to come across like this. You’ve got a way of bringing out the worst in me…” she explained, shrugging. “Options redemption, though, are nearly completely open to the receiver of the reward.”
Caiden shrugged, not all that offended. “I tend to bring it out in most people.” He assumed it was his own abrasive personality that brought it on, and it wasn’t something he particularly minded. “I’ll have to keep that in mind then, if I ever feel the pressing need to make up with you.”
diana-stirling:
“You talking from experience there?” A brow raised in intrigue, though she wasn’t expecting him to say yes, no, or even give any sort of answer. “Sure, sure. Never mind then, I take it back. Just thought you were being nice there.”
He just shrugged one shoulder. He didn’t see any point in reliving old stories with a stranger. Especially as half the people in them were dead at this point. “I’m not a very nice person, honestly.”
ivyxxglass:
Ivy immediatley caught the tone in his voice, questioning the rest of her statement. She lifted her brow in return and let a light laugh out. “Oh, did you…” she turned toward him slightly, “did you think I was…that’s cute.” she couldn’t keep the smile off her face. Not that his interpretation had been off…but…
He frowned when she laughed at him, not sure why she was. “I’m mostly just curious as to what my other option for redemption was.” He told her, doing his best to not appear to be an ass, although he wasn’t sure why. Mostly he just didn’t want to ruin the party yet.
ivyxxglass:
“Fair enough…” she said, nodding at him. “I’ll take your prickly service as a gesture of kindness. I might expect an editable arrangement or brownies or…” she said, cutting herself short as she took a sip from her glass.
“I’d rather you not.” He said, taking a drink before raising his eyebrow at her. “Or...” He prompted, curious as to what she’d been about to say. No doubt something inappropriate, judging from what she’d been like when she dropped off her car.
diana-stirling:
She gave a small shrug of indifference when he said it might make someone jealous. “Meh, if they want it, they can have it. I’d rather just get that over with than start any unnecessary drama.” Especially because she had literally just arrived. The tiara was mainly a joke because Connor always called her a spoiled princess. In no way was she, but when it came to her, he spoiled her like she was his little sister. And she knew it. Hence, the tiara. “Thanks for looking out though.”
“There’s always unnecessary drama.” When you got together a bunch of people who were going to live forever, and who had various supernatural powers, it tended to end with plenty of drama all around, in his experience. “I’m not looking out. I’m just standing next to you, I’ll get hit with the backlash.”
diana-stirling:
Geez, were all the men in Hollow Grove tall and muscular like this guy? Diana offered a small smile, knowing full well she couldn’t even afford the multiple jewels the majority of the women attending the ball were wearing. “Thanks. Fine works just fine as an answer.” She placed the tiara back on her head.
Caiden gave a nod as he watched her put it back on. It did seem a bit much to him, but he’d learned a long time ago that people were going to talk no matter what, might as well do what you wanted in the meantime. “Good. Careful though, someone’s going to get jealous.”
