Just a dumb idea don't gotta take this seriously, especially if it makes you uncomfy but

What about teenaged girl reader that's annoyed at how all of batfam (except Pennyworth and Dami for obvious reasons) all have bigger bewbs than her. Like she'll side-eye Dick when he walks past and will ignore Bruce saying good morning and will instantly frown when Jason arrives.

And they all just think it's obviously because of them being Yandere's and they locked her up (which does play a role I won't lie) but it's because she's flat :'((((

And she'll be damned before she says it out loud.

Honestly the family would be distressed, upset at your actions. It makes it worse because they can tell there's something more there, but they can't figure it out. They try EVERYTHING. They change fragrances, styles, speech patterns. But nothing works.

9 times out of 10 they won't realise until you hint at it or outright say something. And when they do it just fills their hearts with warmth - oh you're so cute!

I keep thinking of Touch Adverse Reader, and think of what it would be like in reverse. Like a Reader who truly HATES the infantilizing but is so touch starved they can't help melting into the hugs and cuddling. They'll be vocal about it but as they cuss Batfam out for treating them like a toddler, but they won't physically fight against a kiss to the forehead and would probably lean into it.

Like a stray cat..

They notice immediately and make it their number 1 priority to coddle you more. You poor thing, you mustn't have had much love before them.. You clearly enjoy it but are too stubborn to admit! Don't worry, all of them are like that, you fit right in!

What's that? You don't like the infantilisation? Oh, honey, don't be silly, if you truly hated it you'd put up more of a fight! And even if you did, they'd just ensure to condition you to accept it!

I love games like Sally Face, FNAF, and Silent Hill 2, and if I had a PC but couldn't play them, I would go insane. Especially FNAF and Sally Face. FNAF helps so many children have a wonderful childhood, and researching its lore is incredibly enjoyable. I believe they should at least allow people to play FNAF and Sally Face. Michael Afton and Sally Face are two things I've been a fan of for years, and to spend a lifetime without seeing them? NEVER.

Now that's an interesting point.. I'm gonna have to counter it with the fact that the family doesn't care about other's experiences with the game. The FNAF lore is interesting (and I'm sure Tim was one of those people who obsessed over it) but it's not for someone as sweet as you!

I'm just imagining Batfam puts on Road to El Dorado for Reader (if they weren't aware of anything in the movie before hand) and then getting an insane whiplash for how OUTRAGEOUSLY sexual, certain scenes are in that movie.

Oh they'd be horrified.. You wont be able to watch anything without them watching it first from here on out. NOTHINGGGGG!!

Backyard - yes. And it is fun! They have a spacious area of land for you to explore, so just be happy with that..

Outside of manor alone - FUCK NO. I don't even need to explain this one... 🥹

Outside manor with one or more of them - Yes... But you cannot leave their sights and they will be checking in every minute. Also, if they see people they deem sketchy (people wearing hoodies, people without kids sitting on a bench too close to you) you're immediately taken home

Kinda going off my last ask about games, (hypothetically the batfam knows nothing about DDLC) they let the reader play DDLC (with supervision of course) and just think its a cute lil anmie girl game, how would they react to the sayori scene?

Pure horror.

I like to think they'd catch on at the beginning of the cutscene and one of them immediately shields your eyes. The game is turned off and you get an earful about not playing those kinds of games!

They put on Stardew Valley instead :)

Hypothetically do you think tge reader would be able to trick the batfam into keeping some games if they have like a cute appearance? Like for example one of my fav games is called high school simulator 2018 and it just looks really cute plus its description says it is, but its actually pretty similar to yan sim and such. Or like DDLC and cooking companions

Nah, they do full background checks on alllll of them!! If you suggest High School Simulator 2018 they'll happily do some digging. They want you to be happy after all, so they'll check it out!

As soon as they see you can enact violence and harm people they deny it. Sorry, but NOT happening! They don't want to raise you to be violent and they certainly don't want you having nightmares!

Chapter 3 - Mayhem On The Streets Of Gotham

Warnings: Explosions, profanity, The Joker

The sound of the motorcycle dies down as Jason comes to a stop outside of some burger joint with a decaying sign and retro interior. The booths are red, the floor checkered, the walls a light blue and the tables metallic and bold. Though that isn't the first thing you notice when you enter.

No, the first thing you notice is the waitress. Her brown hair looks like a wig, her uniform fits just a bit too tightly around the shoulders and arms, and her skin is very matte. Jason seems to notice too and guides you away from where she's standing at the counter. He settles you into a booth near the back corner before sliding into the plush chair across from you.

The speakers of the establishhment play some old 60's inspired jazz faintly, every now and then the speaker would glitch and cut out. Jason browses the menu calmly while you debate whether you should ask about the skincare or not.

You do miss it.

But, he's your ride back and you're not risking having to walk home. Though, you doubt he'd leave you. Even if you begged on your hands and knees.

With nothing better to do you pull out your phone, unlocking it and cringing at the sheer amount of messages in your inbox sent by two very annoyed individuals. Dick and Tim.

You genuinely wish you could just block them and run off into the sunset but life can't work like that. Ever.

So, with a quiet sigh that has Jason glancing at you from above the menu in his hands, you open up Dick's contact first.

Dick Grayson Hey, where'd you guys go? Kiddo? Y/N. C'mon hon, Tim and I are worried Jason has a reputation of being unpredictable Wait Tim's tracked your phone 😋 I mean Jason's. You guys are at that retro diner Do you need money for food? I can send some! Or better yet, Tim and I can come and sit with you and Jay To make sure Jason isn't putting you in any danger...

You grimace at the string of texts, noticing how some from before the lot had been deleted. Jason notices your expression, his brows furrowing as he checks his own phone.

It's quiet before a sigh escapes him, annoyed, agitated, angry, all of the above. He clears his throat as he goes through his own messages, muttering to you. "Asshats. Can't leave us be for five minutes." He scoffs, you don't reply.

You pocket your phone, eyes moving elsewhere. You watch as the waitress struts around, pleased about something... Maybe she has a date tonight, you wonder. Your mind trying to find something to focus on other than Jason's frustrated murmurings. It's only when he says "You know, if we didn't look out for you you'd be gone. Fuck, it's been impossible having you so far from your real home at the manor." that your head whips back to him.

Your eyes are wide, shocked, confused, as your brain tries to process his words. Looking out for you? Far from your real home at the manor? What is he talking about?! He's saying it like it's common knowledge, like he truly believes you would be dead without them. Your chest burns with something akin to anger, something nasty, something nauseating that you can't name right now.

You've done fine without them. Hell, you only met Tim - your intro to this weird family - a few months ago! "What.. What do you mean by that?" You ask, your voice low, comparable to a hiss. Jason pauses, realising he fucked up.

He goes to say something. But, you don't get to hear it because from the kitchen an explosion erupted. The building goes up in flames, screams erupt from patrons, waitresses, and kitchen staff as the fire spreads quicker than people could react.

You shoot up, grabbing your phone. Jason moves quicker than you though and carries you out of the building. A crowd as formed outside, Jason puts you down for a second to go rescue the others in the fire. He gives you an instruction, a simple instruction really. "Stay here, stay safe." Before running into the flames.

You stumble back slightly, the crowd of people pushing and shoving you as they try to see what happened or try to run from it. The fire spreads to another building, and another, and another. Four buildings in flames now, screams ringing through the air. Your breathing kicks up, you want to go home, you want to go back to bed.

A dash of yellow appears from overhead, you believe his hero name is Signal? You don't remember, your brain is too fogged with panic. You take another step back, you need to leave the crowd. You'll go hide out in a store or something, you just need to go away.

As you push through the crowd you spot the waitress again. Yet, you notice she doesn't seem scared or anything. In fact, she's grinning, laughing to herself from the back of the crowd. You make eye contact with her and her eyes - an unnatural sort of yellow now that you're really looking - gleam. Her hand moves up to her head and she pulls off... Her wig..

You swear you could pass out now.

Green hair emerges from under the bald cap. Green hair that could only belong to one person in Gotham right now. Joker.

You decide you'd actually rather stay with the crowd right now. Especially with how he's looking at you. But, before you can turn to safety his hand juts out towards your arm before pulling you back into a headlock. "Oh, I wouldn't do that, pretty one." He coos out, his voice a nasty rasp. His hand that was just grabbing your arm slides across your cheek. "You look fun.. I'm sure you could be very thrilling..!" He hums out, cackling maniacally.

You black out, you don't know how, but you do.

Thanks to the help of Duke, Jason manages to evacuate almost everyone. Some were less fortunate, especially in the kitchen and other buildings.

When the crowd clears Jason immediately searches for you. You poor thing, he's sure you're terrified. But, this could also be good.. Trauma forms attachments, so, if he's your shoulder to lean on during this you're sure to grow more attached to him!

Yet, when he scours the area he can't find you. Your missing. His heart rate picks up. Where did you go?! He told you to stay where he put you! Fuck, it's like telling a toddler not to eat everything it picks up!

He races around the area. Maybe you're hiding under a bin? Or maybe in an alleyway? Or-

He freezes, his eyes locked on something on the ground. A playing card. A Joker.

His face pales, his mind already connecting the dots as he picks up the card and flips it around in his hand. There's writing on the back, jagged and rushed, almost ineligible.

Found a new fun toy to break!

The card crunches up in Jason's hand as he subconsciously squeezes it. Fuck. Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck. You're in so much danger. He doesn't even want to think about what that clown will do to you.

He whips his phone out, dialling Bruce - the only man who'll know what to do. The phone is answered within three rings. "Jason? Do you need something?" The older man's voice rings out, clear and blunt as ever. Jason never really called unless he had to.

"Joker got Y/N." Jason states, already climbing on his bike to speed over to the manor and gear up.

It's silent on the other side of the line as Bruce tries to remember the name and place where he's heard it before. "You mean the girl Tim and Dick talk about?" He asks, Jason can imagine how his thick brows are scrunching together. "Yeah, that one." Jason replies, speeding off, skirting around traffic. He hangs up the phone, not wanting to talk to Bruce any longer than necessary.

Dick and Tim are going to murder Jason, he knows they will.

Innocent Until Proven Guilty

If you were to say your greatest fear right now, what would you say? The ocean? Heights? Dogs?

Well, have you ever thought about being the lead suspect in a case regarding the murder of your childhood best friend, Tonya? No? Well think about that for a moment. Pretty scary, right?

And what if, while being investigated you try and go to a hero for help only for said hero to turn around and form an unhealthy obsession?

The day was clear, too sunny, too warm for the dread in your stomach as you walk down the street. Tonya Errestrate, your friend since preschool, had been found dead in her apartment after you two had a night out.

She'd been stabbed to death. A laceration in her throat, her left side of her chest, her stomach, and her eye. She was found on her kitchen floor, phone screen cracked from falling and tears dried against her rosy, bloody cheeks.

And to make matters worse police have turned to you as the main suspect. Which is just peachy for the grieving process...

The sidewalk is full of pedestrians, people with their own lives, own difficulties, own losses. You don't think any of them have gone through what you're going through now though.

A baby up ahead screams from it's stroller, a couple walks past arguing, the people in front of you are walking too slow, a bicyclist is ringing their bell as they try to ride through the pathways, cars honk in the distance and everyone is talking too loud for you to think.

Your hands instinctively move to your ears as you turn into the coffee shop, trying to seek a reprieve. You're running on two hours of sleep, a stale, unheated bagel you ate yesterday, and the looming paranoia that you're going to be wrongly jailed for Tonya's death.

Unluckily for you, because Lady Luck clearly has a dart board with your face in the center and impeccable aim, the coffee shop isn't much better.

In one corner is a group of middle aged women laughing and chatting up a storm, in another is a screaming child who's mother is blatantly ignoring the tantrum and scrolling on her phone, the father of said child shoots glares at the kid, growing more and more frustrated as the kid slams onto the floor. In another section - a more vacant one - there's a man in a pressed suit looking to be having a zoom meeting (why he's doing it in this horrific environment you can only assume masochism) and another man, this time in a police uniform, talking on the phone with someone loudly.

You resist the urge to crumple to the floor and scream like the child nearby. Everything is too much, you're too stressed, the air is moist yet humid, the smell of the cafe is like if someone left incense burning for too long and kept trying to cover the smell with expired Ferberize and baby powder.

But, you're an adult. You can't fall to the ground and call it a day. So, you head up to the counter. The barista doesn't seem to be doing much better than you. She looks grumpy, tired despite it being nine in the morning. Her pink hair is greasy, a solid two inches of undyed blonde roots slicked back into a bun, her face a fixed scowl. Yet, when she notices your approach she smooths it out to a blank look, like a lobotomy patient might have.

"Welcome to the Happy Hippo Cafe, what can I get for you today?" She hums out, readying her hand to tap on the ipad in front of her. You order, your voice a tired murmur that the lady seems to have trouble hearing but doesn't comment on. "Name for the order?" She asks after a minute. "Y/N." You give back, your eyes drifting elsewhere in an attempt to not appear too awkward or intense.

You pay and head off to the quieter section of the cafe. Passing the man on his work meeting and nearing the policeman on the phone. You catch a snippet of his conversation with the other person on the line. "-No, you aren't listening to me Bruce, you never listen-"

You don't hear any more, you don't care to, it's not your business. You just want some peace and quiet... You should have brought your headphones.

Why didn't you bring your headphones? Were they dead? They might have been.. Why didn't you charge them? What's wrong with you? Obviously you should have charged them, you had all night to put them on charge. Instead you laid in bed and scrolled on your overheating phone like disgusting lazy nuisance you are. How pathetic.

Actually.. Speaking of phone, is it overheating?

You pull it out of your pocket, feeling it against your palm. Luckily it's not right now, that's good. You think it'd tip you over the edge if it were too hot.

The man on the phone continues to talk, you make out a few words but honestly, the buzzing in your ears as you try to zone out make it difficult to make out any full sentences - not that you wanted to, you mind your own and stay safe... But it sounded interesting.

Your thoughts start to race - could you not be so nosy?! God, this is why you have no friends!

The corners of your vision starts to blur, the feeling of static envelops your brain and your eyes dart around frantically, trying to avoid light and oversaturated colours. A fail. Is it just you or is everyone louder? Their voices are all mixing together, it's grating, it makes you want to puke, you want to scream. Your fingers tremble, curling into your palms before uncurling and curling again.

Everything's getting louder, the static in your brain won't go, it makes your head feel like when your foot falls asleep. It's uncomfortable, borderline painful, you can't think straight. Tears pool your vision but they feel more like lava, your bottom lip trembles like jelly being poked and you can feel all the muscles in your face scrunching up into something you're sure looks ugly.

You can feel everything. You feel the clothes on you that are suddenly too restrictive, the fluffy socks on your feet are now making your feet sweat, causing the fluff to get stuck to your feet and between your toes. Your shoes are digging into your heels but you can't find it in yourself to move. It's just... Too much.

Your head feels heavier and before you know it your forehead collides with the metal table in front of you. The table is sticky, not cleaned properly, it makes you want to puke, to scream, to sob loudly, to yell for everyone to shut up.

Everything hurts, every touch feels like a shard of broken glass. In your haze you can feel the presence of something moving to sit in front of you, they don't seem to try and talk to you. Or maybe they do. You can't tell. It's like someone filled your ears with slime.

Then, something covers your ears. Your head snaps up, body on autopilot. The face of the man on the phone is sitting across from you. You find it difficult to process what he looks like up close though... Blue eyes... Tanned skin... Black hair... A beauty mark in the corner of his eye... And that's all you get.

Your clenched hands move up to your ears - he's placed ear muffs on them. How... Kind? Your hands move away from the earmuffs, situating themselves on the metal table.

The man glances down at your hands before gently reaching out and tapping both of them a few times - testing your reaction. When you don't seem to react he gently wriggles his fingers into your clenched fists and pries your fingers off your palm.

He calmly looks at you, his eyes studying your face before his hands move away. He grabs a pen out of his pocket alongside a napkin from the table and quickly writes something down before sliding it over to you to read.

His handwriting is messy, rushed, and you can barely read it due to the brain fog and bleary eyes. Still, you manage to make it out.

"Hi, I'm Dick. :)"

The Prologue for the new fic was first, two weeks ago Monday, then I had posted I Exist x3 on the Wednesday, on the Sunday I posted Childish part 3 and last Thursday I posted Unadoptable part 1!
