Temple of Sumeru, Happiness & Longevity's 8 huge, glinting dragon's (each said to weigh over 1000kg) adorning the roof of the main hall. This temple was built in honour of the Panchen Lama. Pule Temple's Round Pavilion. Inside is a wooden mandala (a geometric representation of the Universe).

During the first week in November our dorm-mate David invited us to visit the city of Chengde（承德）, Hebei Province, with him. We spent three days visiting the Chengde Mountain Resort and the surrounding temples. Probably some of the most historically packed three days of our time in China. David was quite the expert in local Chinese History.

The old Summer Palace （圆明园）destroyed by the British and French troops in 1860. We spend the day exploring, completing the Garden Maze and getting to know the history of site with our friends Adelya , Jessica and Nora.
